Ferox Welsh Ponies (pron. VEH-rocks) are a hardy pony that originated in Wales. They have fine heads with slightly dished noses, short, muscular legs and stocky bodies. While small - averaging 12 hands - feroxes make good riding horses and are sure-footed owing to the mountains of their origin country. Ferox Welsh Ponies, their name meaning fierce, are known for their big personalities, including a streak of bravery that seems to run through the entire breed. Feroxes are strong but easily handled, making them ideal for all riders. They are frequently seen in bay, black, chestnut and grey, but many other colours have been recorded to appear in the breed, including appaloosa, paint markings and dilutions like champagne.

1. Please follow all CS site and art rules here and on CS.

2. Ferox Welsh Ponies are a closed species and only allowed artists may use these lines. This goes for adopts, customs, breedings, etc. If taken offsite, you must link back to the main adopt page and give credit when necessary.

3. Users must have an active and updated storage page in order to breed and order customs. This means having all of the slots updated and any other information up to date. You do not have to have one before you own your first Ferox, but will be required for any more that follow.

4. Please be respectful of everyone within the community. This means being civil and not picking fights with other users. I know we all have different opinions and beliefs, but please keep it kind. <3

5. All Ferox Welsh Ponies have a maximum of five breeding slots. This can only be increased by purchasing an extra slot in the store.

6. Please do not bump adoption pages for halters, updating information, etc. If it has been over 30 days, please send me or NoodleDOOT a private message and we will get it sorted out for you.

7. Users are allowed to buy/sell/trade/giveaway Ferox Ponies for any kind of currency (c$, usd, etc). Both users (previous owner and new owner) must post on the adoption page stating the trade and confirm it. You must also post the proper form on the archive in order to keep everything updated.

8. There is currently no adopt requirement from our artists per month as of now, just make as many as you'd like. <3 If more paid adopts are being seen than free ones, a limit may be added.

9. All rules are subject to change at any time as well as new ones being added.

General Changes:
- The lines are now gender-neutral, meaning we are not using the female and male specific lines. This means you are now able to choose the gender of your adopt when entering.
- The old foal lines are now being used instead of the V.2 ones.




Breedings and Customs:
- V.1 ponies are not permitted to breed and are considered sterile. V.2 ponies are allowed to breed and compete.
- An extra breeding slot can be purchased in the store, allowing the maximum breeding slots to be 6.
- Users may only request a maximum of 4 breedings per month.
- A maximum of 2 limited genes are allowed to be ordered in customs.
- Any and all edits are now permitted for customs.




Genetics and Pass Rates:
- The chance of twins has increased and can now happen at a 15% rate.
- The chance of chimerism has increased and can now happen at a 10% rate. This doubles to 20% if both parents are chimeric.
- The chance of somatic has increased and can now happen at a 15% rate. This doubles to 30% if both parents are somatic.
- The chance of heterochromia has increased and can now happen at a 20% rate. This doubles to 40% if both parents have heterochromia.

- Manchado is now being used.

- Non-genetic + breed-specific traits have an updated chance of occurring.


Common: 75% pass rate
Uncommon: 50% pass rate
Rare: 25% pass rate
Limited: 10% pass rate




Selling and Trading Feroxes:
- V.3 Ponies are now able to be sold for any currency [usd, c$, etc]. This does not include V.1 or V.2 ponies.
