Heavily story-driven arpg with quests and adopts. There will be an ending to the story eventually, but the game will still be open and the quests will be repeatable!
Narrative-wise I am aiming for a scary vibe, the main story quests will have risks and consequences. You may lose your characters if you decide to participate in these. There will be items and boons to help you survive the storyline if you decide to take part in it, but if you prefer something more laid-back, the sidequests have no risks and will be there only for creative storytelling :)

The Aurik is a species of lion-like mammals with short legs and long, flexible spines. They live on land, in dens they build up from the ground, in trees, or dig into the earth.
They are mainly social creatures, though some prefer to live alone. Auriks have a culture that revolves around songs and storytelling, they teach writing and singing to all of their cubs.
Auriks have a small pantheon of deities that are very much present in both their legends and everyday lives. These deities regulate the world and keep the balance.

Step 1: make a den

You need a place to store your Auriks, so both you and the staff can easily keep track of them!
Each user is allowed only one den, which should be hosted somewhere public (the character storage forum and toyhouse are great examples)

Each den should ideally have one Aurik per post, with all of its information and links written down. Here's an example of what it should contain:

Step 2: make a hoard

Keeping everyone's inventory in the same spreadsheet can get very tedious, so you will have to keep track of your items on your own!
Your hoard can be hosted in the same thread you made for your den, and it should be a list that contains all consumable and permanent items you own, like MYO tickets, breeding tickets, boons, currency, and other items that need to be kept track of. Please add links to any kind of proof that you do own each item, if possible.

Step 3: adopt your first Aurik

Now you're ready to play! Your first Aurik will be free, you can adopt one from the Founder adopt page[link pending] or make one yourself on the MYO page[link pending].
Pre-made founders are given out either through a raffle or on a first-come-first-served basis.

Months have a say in which power a cub will have, but the parents also play an important part in this: the cub could have either the power associated with the month or the power of one of its parents. There is a slight chance that any cub may not develop any powers during its lifetime, these Auriks are called "Quiet".

Light is the power connected to the month of the Unicorn, but it doesn't manifest as an actual power like all the others. Instead, the cubs born this month could have the power of one of their parents or a completely unrelated power. There is a lower chance that an Aurik cub will be born Quiet during this month.

Shadow is the power connected to the month of the Dragon, but it doesn't manifest as an actual power like all the others. Instead, the cubs born this month could either inherit the power of one of the parents or be born without any power at all. There is a higher chance that an Aurik cub will be born Quiet during this month. The powers of those born this month could sometimes malfunction.

Light and shadow powers are special because one may not be born with them, but instead has to earn them through a boon granted by the higher powers of this world. It's unclear why or how these boons are given.
