I have gifted kals and been gifted kals before. I'm sure there is the occasional case of breaking the rules and paying behind the scenes, but I wouldn't assume everyone is doing that. Some people just do it to be nice! I've gifted kals to people before that really loved them more than I ever could. I've also hosted readopts due to not being able to connect. It varies from person to person, really.

So I'm wondering why anyone would want to part with an adorable kalon without getting something in return. A bit confusing, makes me think that people are paying for some kals behind the scenes :<

Maybe ask them yourself !
People usually gift them out of kindness or the inability to connect ot the kalon. Sometimes they're give aways or stuff. and Im pretty sure you can trade kals for MYO's sksksks
But if this was hte reason why you were asking then why ask if it was legal?? Sounded liek you yourself were begging haha! ^^

Speaking of gifting/re-adoptions. Would users be posting these sorts of things on the Kalons fanclub thread?

@sugar free. and thejokerkeepsmiling1: Please take this discussion off the main thread and to private messages if you have an issue with each other that you need to resolve. The main thread of this species is no place to vague about each other passive aggressively or start a conflict (which is against CS Rules, and by extension Kalon rules.)

Begging for others kalons puts all parties in an awkward position. Please do not do this, as it is against Kalon rules. If someone has begged you for a kalon, please private message a staff member to let them know of the situation.

@Bachata & Silver Pandorica: Please refrain from mini-modding on the main topic. Although I know you had good intentions, mini-modding is not allowed just in case another user that is not staff spreads misinformation. Thank you!

@Lady Mascaraed: Users who host re-adopts will often post them on the fanclub to get the word out about the competitions, yes! You can also check the discord if you're in it to keep up with the latest re-adopts and user held contests going on :)

@Kais_Cosplays: the adopts on the main page have been a bit slower due to most adopts coming out on the Summer Event thread while the event was running. Now that the event is over, however, adopts should pick back up in speed! While there is not a set amount of adopts that are made in a day, week, or month, and it's is simply whenever an artist is feeling inspired to make an adopt, usually there is at least 1-2+ per week that are made on a normal basis!

The summer event was a lot of fun.

And i appreciate how much work everyone whose apart of the kalons put into it.
