BUTTERMILKS 2025 - WHAT'S NEXT

In the last few weeks, the Buttermilk staff has undergone some in depth conversations about where Buttermilks should go heading in to the new year.
The semi-reopening from October-December was intended to be a bit of a trial run to gauge activity and determine if the species would flourish if it were to fully reopen.

It is a pleasure to announce that going into 2025 Buttermilks will be heading towards a full and permanent reopening! Along with this, there will be some big changes coming up that the staff has all agreed will be beneficial to the species as a whole. Starting January 1 2025, Buttermilks will be entering a brief hiatus in order to give staff the time to implement these new updates as well as prepare for a super exciting re-opening event. On February 1 2025, Buttermilks will officially fully reopen.
In addition to the reopening, I am so pleased to announce that Voltaire & certified will be taking over as co-owners! We are all looking forward to everything they will bring to the table as a team!
Though I am stepping down as admin, I will be sticking around as an artist and moderator. However going into the new year I am aiming to spend more time on myself and with my family, and I thought long and hard about this choice of direction.

We are currently working on a google doc to house all the information on what changes you will see as we progress through January. This will be posted in the Discord first, so make sure you've joined there!

We are officially ready to bring you this doc that describes all of the changes coming in the new year! We recognize this is a lot of change at one time, but it is staff's hope that it will help to keep the species running smoothly and thriving.

We’ve had a lot of changes happen over the past month so make sure you reading the rules again, check out the nursery for breedings, as well as updated nursery forms with the new bull limitations. We’ve had some recent updates in our mutations as well, so feel free to give that a gander.
Our Artist search is still open and will more than likely remain so for a bit, so feel free to throw in entries.

Last but not least, we’ve got our Nyoom Event going on! Feel free to pop in there and try your hand at some quick competition buttermilks!
