Antonito couldn't stave off the building excitement that seemed to consume him. Any day now, he knew the kits would be due. Nothing seemed to hold his focus more than the thought of the precious gifts that would soon arrive.
He thought hard on how he would tend to each of his kits. He imagined teaching them to fish in the tide pools. Those silly little minnows better be ready for ‘em!

He wondered idly if the kits would look more like him. Would they act like him? Would they take interest in helping him hunt for the perfect herbs, or be drawn to something else? The possibilities kept him eagerly awaiting the arrival of the litter. He'd make sure to love each kit tenderly and fiercely, to protect them at all costs. He promised Nozomi confidently that he’d never let them out of his sight.

He smiled to himself as he prepped some herbs for the expecting mother. He wished to keep her strength and spirits up, or course. After making sure she'd eaten, he settled close and laid down next to her nest. They talked about how many kits they'd have and what personalities they might encounter. Antonito joked that he would teach them all the words he knew in his native tongue- the ones his twoleg had spoken. The two cats discussed potential names together, and even decided that their kits would remain safe at home in Wishwater Clan territory, should the need arise.

Antonito spent time really getting to know Nozomi, what she liked, and how to get it for her. He had only mind to keep her happy, and had worked diligently to complete said task. He couldn’t wait to welcome their litter, whenever they decided it was time for their big debut. It could be any day now that they come into the world. As Nozomi slowly drifted to sleep, Antonito set to grooming her. Fighting his slumber was no use. As his body succumbed to exhaustion, he swore he could feel the warm presence of a kitten nestled between his paws.

Alexandria is the overseer of Void Termina, with her paws all over the place in the facility. She certainly has her hands busy, and doesn't get many chances to take breaks.


This of course would change when a particular benefactor was brought upon the facility. A beautiful colorpoint with a shimmery cloak.

"Is this the particular library I've heard so much about..?" He'd asked softly as he passed through the doorways. Alexandria sputtered as he came into the main hall, scrambling to get out from behind her desk to greet them.
"No, apologies, um-" She started in response. "We are affiliated, though. You're thinking of the Eternal Library, but welcome to Void Termina."
"Ah, I see!" She breathed out after a moment, looking to the scrawnier albino cat. "Well, I think that'll be just fine if you're affiliated. I'm interested in offering a paw to help you with the Library's problem."
"Alright, I'll-- Wait, huh?" Alexandria squeaked. The brawny cat giggled a little in response, causing the overseer to fluster.
"I want to help you! I've been watching for a while, and noticed the lot of you seem to struggle a bit with the peculiarities of that library. I don't think I can do very much, but I'd like to help you out."
"W-Well! I don't think Teo will mind if you help out. I'm Alexandria."
"You can call me Helios."


"Helios, are you busy?"
"Mm, no." She called back to her partner. "Why?"
"I have a letter that I think was meant to go over to Teo, but I don't have time or any other messengers to send it over to him." She trotted over to Helios. "Do you think you could shoot it over really quickly for me?"
"But of course." Helios chirped, taking the letter up in her paws and whirling it away with a flick of her paw. Alexandria gave a soft chitter and nudged her muzzle against Helios' cheek.
"Thank you, my dear sunbeam."
"But of course, my sweet moonlight."

No one's quite sure how to define whatever it is that exists between Snowfell and Sunfire. They're guardians of two diametrically opposed forces with wildly differing personalities. Their bickering and oneupsmanship is the stuff of legends, and yet... their jabs at one another never tip over into actual insults. They somehow stop just short. It's left the whole clan scratching their heads and wondering, will they or won't they?

(The worst part is, the guardians themselves aren't quite sure how to answer that question!)
