Twinkling stars dappled the deep blue sky, their vibrant glow seemingly the only source of guidance on this otherwise dark evening. The wind struck long blades of grass, a soft whistle echoing off the surfaces of each blade. Soon, a silver figure made her way through the field, crouched to the ground. The fur of her chest tickled against the grass, her blue eyes locked forward. She was in search of something - but what? Her nose twitched for a moment, and with a deep inhale, she was off. She had moved into the night, weaving between each tree gracefully, as though she had a map of the entire clan's territory engraved into her head.

Then, her pupils enlarged. The aroma that struck her was mesmerizing - unfamiliar, and yet it screamed elegance, which piqued the magical molly's curiosity. With a sharp breath in, and a swing of her paw forward, a blue portal opened before her, and the silver molly flung herself for, emerging upon a tree branch. She landed before an unfamiliar molly, whose yellow eyes pierced through Lily's very soul. Lily watched as the cat stumbled backwards, her back pressing against the bark of the tree behind her.

"WHAT WAS THAT?!" The molly yipped. Lily stood in silence for a moment, looking the molly over. She had never scented her clan before, or any cat like her, yet she had made it this far into the clan's borders. After a moment of silence, Lily spoke, the tips of her ears heating up. The molly was beautiful - a feeling she had never felt before fluttered in her very being. "Uh.. sorry to scare you? I'm Lily. From the Heart of Decay."

"Cove.. What are you doing out here this late, I thought your clan scavenged during the day."

"I may.. or may not be adventuring." Lily grumbled, her voice laced with guilt. "Honestly, I caught your scent and it caught my interest. That sounds.. weirder out loud."

"It's fine. Just glad you're not hostile." Cove said with a smile.

A moment of silence was shared between them before Lily sat beside Cove on the branch. Their tails naturally touched one another, Lily's ears pinning back in surprise. But it was just one interaction. How could it hurt?

The two mollies danced in the moonlight, exchanging words with small smiles. That would be the first and last time Lily saw Cove.

a canon couple!! they have two other litters in-lore (the one you see with medallions last bred as well as my other bob breeding), and this litter will be the "middle child" litter. these kits are born during the end of the first arc and will be fully grown when the second arc starts as some of the youngest warriors in the clan. as well as being their biological kits, theyre also going to adop an orphaned kit to raise alongside them! Medallion is a forager nurse, one of the most respected cats in the clan due to his hard work, while Silverfish is a guard. They first started getting along when Silverfish was constantly getting injured on patrols, not only due to the fighting her role required, but because of her clumsy nature. She would often have to cut her time on the patrol short and walk back to camp, where Medallion took her in stride and cracked jokes to cheer her up. A lot of time has passed since her origins, and she's gotten better about not getting hurt, but sometimes she still ends up in his den, denying with a blushing face that it's because she simply wants to see him.

Kai kicked down the door to Kai's room.

"Babe 🫵," he demanded, pointing a paw accusingly across the room at the startled feline. "When was the last time you drank water??"

Kai froze. "Umm-"

"Yeah that's what I thought," Kai said, marching over to Kai's chair. "This is unacceptable. How are you supposed to lick me if your tongue is all dry??" He shoved a bottle of cherry-flavored water into Kai's hands. "Hold this and drink it on the road."

"Wait what road- KAI WHERE ARE WE GOING??" Kai yelled as Kai picked him up by the scruff and began dragging him out of the room. "This is kidnapping, I think."

"Not if you agwee to it," Kai said through a mouthful of fur, hauling his friend through the doorway and down the hallway and out the door and down another hallway and he took the elevator to be nice at least.

"Well what if I don't agree to this?" Kai said, crossing his cat arms in a pout as the elevator music chimed cheerfully in the background. He could break free and walk away any time, though, and they both knew it. The stranger on the elevator, however, seemed a little skeptical, and they got off a floor early.

Kai rolled his eyes and dragged Kai out of the elevator and out of the building and off into the distance without another word because talking with fur in his mouth was annoying. Also it was funnier to him to leave Kai in suspense. Kai kept pestering him with questions for another few hours, then eventually decided to alternate between singing every variation of "The Weekend Whip" and chanting "Kai Kai Kai Kai Kai Kai I love you Kai Kai Kai Kai Kai" over and over to pass the time.

76 hours of walking later, Kai held Kai out over a cliff.

"Hey, baby," Kai mewed anxiously, his paws dangling over empty air. "This feels a little dramatic. Are you sure we can't just talk this out?"

Kai grunted a no through his very tired jaws full of fur.

"I mean, really, I drank that bottle of water you gave me. It took the full 76 hours to do it but I did do it. That's progress, right? This really isn't necessARYYYYY-"

Kai dropped him mid sentence. He peered over the cliff to watch his bestie fall exactly 7.6 feet unharmed into the cherry-flavored water below.

"Okay. I'm in the ocean," Kai said, unamused. "What now?"

"You drink it," Kai responded, pawing at his tongue to try to get the fur off.

"The whole thing? You want me to drink the entire ocean?"

"The whole thing," Kai confirmed, settling down on his perch and brainstorming what songs he could sing to pass the time even more annoyingly than Kai's Weekend Whip marathon. He was thinking he'd start with the Teen Beach Movie soundtrack. Or maybe Camp Rock. Or maybe alternating, just for fun. He could make up a whole new merged plot of the two...

Soggy Kai looked out at the horizon, which was still ocean, because oceans are very big. "I don't think that's possible."

Kai stared down at him like 🤨. "Are you saying you, the most epic and amazing and best cat ever, can't do the impossible?"

Kai paused. Then he stuck his head in the ocean and started drinking.

"Called it," his friend said from the shore.

76 years later, the cherry-flavored ocean was gone and Kai was finally hydrated. Also Kai wrote like 76 Camp Beach and Teen Rock movies which they watched a marathon of together to celebrate Kai's hydration. The End <3
