Prompt: Radish doesn't have an IC partner as they have no interest in romance. So these kittens are just going to be the ones that he adopts!
His siblings had all began anew, in their own ways, moving on from the deaths of their parents and those caught in the crossfire of the fight to take over the clan.
Their old ways were diminishing, with the tree sat in the center of their clans territory, slowly fading and dying away. The bright purple hues of the jacaranda tree were now grey and rotted, each leaf wrought with holes as they fell to the ground. A sign that their claimed land was dying off, just like the clan.
Fennel had moved on with her bright and beautiful she-cat partner, Siobhan, taking their kits towards the north to seek out something-anything that could give them what they needed to restore their beautiful home and tree back to its former glory. Reedtail and Buzzardtail, two cats who came in to help when the fighting started, claimed they were the only two left alive from their own clan, and the noises from the fighting led them here. It seemed, without a doubt, whatever was happening to their tree, and their land, was not just happening to them.
“I don’t know what to do, Zinnia , The clan has never faced anything like this before, and I fear if we split up too much to seek out something to cure this disease on our land, some of us might not make it back alive.”
Radish was not always the most serious of his siblings, but someone had to pick up the slack with Fennel gone and Crouton getting together a group to leave at first light.
“We should head out too, Brother, I don’t like the idea of you staying behind…not after the attempt on your life.” Zinnia would beg, pleading for him to, for once..listen to her.
“You know I can’t do that.”

Staying behind was something he knew he had to do. So as he watched his clan form patrol groups and head out, he settled beneath the jacaranda tree, his mind and his heart- torn in so many directions.
Days would go by of him sitting under that tree, praying…wishing…hoping that the next time he opened his eyes those beautiful purple leaves would be shining once more in the bright morning light. They never were.
“Oh what to do…” He would talk to himself, lazily rolling over in the dirt before pulling himself up to stand beneath the tree.
A rustle, something new to this day, startled him out of his thoughts.
“Hm…?” He lifted a paw to his eyes, rubbing them of the sleep, before taking a few careful pawsteps towards the noise in the bushes on the other side of the small clearing.
“Is someone back already? It hasn’t been that lon….oh, whats this?”
He cocked his head to the side, as he watched not 1, but multiple tiny little furrballs climb themselves out of the branches, the sticks getting stuck in their furr, pulling at it.
At first he thought he was sleeping still, perhaps lost in a dream. He has not seen a thing so small since his sister had given birth to her litter, and by now they would be too far north for some of them to have wandered here. They however, looked nothing like his sisters kits. No these were someone elses..but whos?
Lowering his tail he moved across the clearing, his paws coming to a slow as he got closer to them, as to not startle them.
“Are you lost, little ones? Where are your parents?”
As soon as he spoke one of the little ones stopped, their sibling behind them bumping into their body and collapsing over.
They all then turned their attention up towards the loud booming voice, who was, not very well, trying to keep his voice quiet and calming.
“I think they died”

These kittens are tough, having survived their clan falling and traveling so far alone for several nights before they ended up under the same jacaranda tree as Radish. He didn’t mind kids, since he had had to deal with them with fennel at some point. However being the only adult around to take care of them was rough. He wasn’t sure how he felt about it, but he was curious…since none of them could recall exactly where they came from.
However many there are, they are from a land where magic is abundant! Somehow when the magic seeped out of the world where the clan resides bits of it overflowed and from that overflow, some things leaked out.
These cats will help bring magic back to the world, in their own ways, at their own pace. Once they realize what kind of powers they actually hold.
