Tailmouths are a thing, yes! They're legendary and classed as an extra head
And the limit of extra heads a kalon can have is two, adding to three total heads.

are kalons allowed to have non-canon magic powers (inborn and not relying on items) if they're restricted to a specific roleplay? (my friends and i are planning out an rpg-style kind of rp for fun, and it'll be tricky to include classes like warlocks/sorcerers/etc if they don't have magical abilities)

That wouldn't be allowed, sorry!
However, maybe as a suggestion, you could have that warlocks/sorcerers need staff or spellbook to use their power!! c:

I'd recommend sending Karmel or Wicced!Witch about the traits!
My suggestion is to have a little sketch of what you mean if it's not the easiest to explain, just to be sure you get your idea across!

What if this ability was kept by a magical item attatched to them or something, and once said item was removed they would become mortal once again?

If the ability was kept by a magical item attached to them, that would be fine, as long as the item can be removed and is not part of the Kalon!

I see staff is working hard to answer everyone's questions, and I apologize for burdening you with another!

I searched around for information regarding this but I wasn't able to find it, so I'm sorry if I had just missed it! However, are kalons allowed to be able to swim without a legendary trait permitting them to do so (Such as the merkalon for example)? Not exactly live underwater or anything, just have the ability- like a dog or a human might.

Sorry if this is a silly question, however better safe than sorry I suppose.

'Ello! So, question. I didn't win kalon 1200 (congrats to the winners!!), but I would still like to transfer the design out of species and just use it as a canine-like creature. However, I have two main concerns. 1) May I keep the ref on the kalon lines temporarily until I can hire an artist to make a new ref sheet off-lines? It will be very difficult for me myself to recreate the design, and it would honestly be so much easier to just keep the design reference on the kalon lines. However, if this isn't allowed, I will try to find someone to transfer them as soon as possible.

2) The shine. The shine is my biggest concern. All the art I ordered would be able to pass as a canine except for the fact that it has a shine. Since I won't be keeping the design as a kalon, do I have to ask the artists to remove the shine from their art? And what happens if they aren't able to?

second I actually have a question-
am I allowed to edit the tail of my kalon when growing it where it isn't different but it is in a different position?
I'd like to better show the shine but I wasn't sure if moving the tail position would be considered a "tail edit"

Are weight edits hereditary?

For example, will two skinny Kalons have children that are thin?

If both parents have weight edits, and they ask for the children to not have weight edits, will this mean the kits will all be of standard weight?
