Luckycharm examines the faces of her warriors around her, realizing the situation they've found themselves in. It would best to chase the fox out of their territory and there was enough of them to take it on together especially with the amazing fighting skills combined on this patrol ! They might even be able to bring home a fox for dinner ! She discusses her thought process with the cats is happily delighted to be met with warn nods of agreements. A fire blazing in Vixenbounce and Heartworm's eyes as if they were starved for a battle. Confidence radiated off of the whole team except Luckycharm who's never been too big of a fighter, the cats surrounded her all seemed to enjoy training and looked forward to their next battles. But the former barn cat never thought her training would be put to use like this !

This time, Forestpaw, Snailpaw, and their mentors Snowtuft and Oceanfoam go out on patrol. This is their first time out on patrol together.
"What can you scent?" Oceanfoam asked the apprentices as Snowtuft sat down.
Both the apprentices sniffed the air, and Forestpaw was quick to reply.
"Something rank," she said.
"That's the Twolegs in their flap dens. Anything prey related?" Snowtuft replied.
Snailpaw was still sniffing the air, then paused.
"Uh.. I might?" he said shakily. Oceanfoam looked surprised, but Snowtuft cut in before she could say anything.
"Impossible!" she said, shaking her head. Snailpaw seemed to shrink. Forestpaw shuffled closer to him.
"I don't scent anything at a-"

Taz - no, Tidestar now - woke slowly, blinking lazily against the sunlight that filtered through his woven den. He'd have to fix that. He pushed himself up to his paws and stretched. After quickly rasping his tongue over a few unruly tufts of fur, he padded out of his den and into the humid morning air. The forest floor was already fairly well lit, meaning he had overslept. Not that anybody was waiting on him, though he doubted those star cats would be very pleased with him.

Shaking away the thought, Tidestar continued out of the very messy camp. He'd been here for a few days already, but clearing any place in the rainforest could be a challenge, especially when you were doing it alone. Evidently, it was enough for StarClan; they had given him a list of tasks, and had promised to give him one for each they completed. Finding and vaguely fixing up the camp had earned him his second - or would it be his first? - life, though he was told he had more work to do. Such as establishing a territory for his clan, which was what he planned to do today.

Now a good distance away from the camp he had found and officially "on patrol", Tidestar paused to look around. The air was thick and heavy, and the island was never completely silent, but nothing seemed close at the moment. He'd need to catch some prey soon - he hadn't eaten since midday yesterday - but for now Tidestar simply wanted to get a better idea of what was around the area he had picked. If he needed to move because of some danger or lack of resources, he'd like to know before other cats joined his clan. Satisfied with his brief survey, he continued to trot through the thick undergrowth, eyes and ears pricked for anything noteworthy.

After a good night's sleep, and a quick stop to the fresh-kill pile for a squirrel, it was time for another patrol. Kestrelstar gathered his warriors and headed out, hoping to find prey or herbs today.

With a patrol this crowded with cats, Owlstar divided the group into two different groups.
Owlstar, Sleekhaze, and Lilacmoon decide to go together to the further reaches of the territory in search of herbs. They first make their way down to the waterfall, searching its peak for the herbs that flourish in the moist environment. Then, they follow the edge of the territory into the thicker tree groves and down into the sunny partly field at the edge of the Starpath’s Roots. They keep an eye out for anything unusual in their territory.
The Commander, Lynxfrost, leads a second group that is made up of Swanstrike, Doeleap, Silverstreak, Emberdust, and Palecinder in order to hunt for more prey to feed the clan and look for both signs of predators and any stray cats or kittens in need of a place. The rivers are swollen with new leaf melting waters and stronger currents that attract larger fish, and Silverstreak and Swanstrike dive in to try their luck at catching them. Doeleap, Emberdust, and Palecinder browse the thicker forested areas with Lynxfrost to look for birds and terrestrial creatures to catch and hopefully return with.

Sunlight dappled the beautiful blue expanse, a warm feeling kissed her pelt as
she lay amongst the sand. All she felt was the dreadful feeling of isolation. It
left a hollow feeling in her heart as her gaze that revealed the depths of a fo-
rest fluttered to the sky. Licking her shoulder to smooth out her fur, the mor-
ning sunrise was lovely and the waves that lapped at the shoreside soothed the
emptiness within her. The muscles that laced her lithe stature ached as she st-
aggered to her feet. Closing her eyes to take a deep breath, she wandered fu-
rther into the place, she, now, called home.

The lovely melodies of birds were sung into reality, all of the songs laced toge-
ther into a symphony, one she would remember, forever. The flowers were in
full bloom, the trees vibrant and lush. A breath of quiet awe escaped her lips
as she weaved around the towering figures of trees. The sun was radiating it’s
usual stunning light and it seemed almost like everything was perfect, except
it wasn’t. There was no company, no cat to share tongues with. It was just he-
rself and the creatures that resided in this island. If only StarClan would have
pity for her. Do a miracle for her and bring a cat to this lonely island, to pull
her out of the pit of sorrow, she was drowning in. Head low, the sound of the
ocean drew her in, perhaps, she should hunt, it wouldn't hurt to do so, right?

After pursueing the fox they find that the tracks lead right out of their territory, luckily enough for luckycharm! unfortunet for the others who were battle hungry.

On the way back to where they were before scenting the fox, batwhicker caught sight of an opossum climbing a tree. Batwhisker waved for vixenbounce and sugarstep to follow his lead. The three of them watched for a few heartbeats as the opossum jumped between two branches. Batwhisker climbed to the branch just below the opossum. He gave vixenbounce the signal and she did her best impression of a dog barking. The opossum got scared and while it was distracted batwhisker raised onto his back legs and snagged it by the fur. The opossum struggled its best and batwhisker lost his grip. As the opossum plumeted to the ground sugarstep watched and prepared for the kill when it landed. Luckily the fall stunned the opossum which made it easy for her. +1opussum, +4FP, +4XP

Forestpaw thought hard about the smell before answering. It turned out she really did smell something, prey! Oceanfoam encouraged her to follow her nose to find the prey, which she did. Forestpaw was stepped on a crunchy leaf which sent the prey running. Forestpaw and snailpaw gave chase. Forestpaw was ahead and swiped quickly at the shrew several times before actually managing to hit it. Injured the shrew had to stop running but forestpaw noticed too late and ran right over it. Quickly she looked back and...ran into a bush. Snailpaw who was just behined her saw that the shrew stopped and was able to catch and kill it. +1shrew, +2FP, +2XP
While the apprentices chased the shrew, snowtuft found some herbs +2raspberry leaves, +1mallow leaves, +3XP

Tidestar walked briskly trying to make up for lost time. He sniffed the air to check for prey or predators. Tidestar's spirits rose when he caught the scent of some prey, which immediatly made his mouth begin to water. He followed the smell as far as he could but he must have gotten mixed up at some point. Guess he would have to look elsewhere for prey.
Though disapointed and hungry he did find some herbs he was told, by the starcats, would be useful in the future. +2lungwort, +2XP
