Welcome to the Artist Search!

Jumping Jacks are domestic donkey's but they are different, they can be almost any color and have any marking possible! Jacks are cute little creatures about the size of a golder retriever at the shoulder and have sweet tempermant and get along well with others. Jacks can be found in the wild or from orphan events or custom events, special event will have exclusive Jacks and certain exclusive event traits.

Well, that's a good question. Before you get a Jack you need a barn, a barn is used for storing your jacks and keeping track of it's breeding slots. Jacks can be obtained from main adopts, breedings, events, gifting, trading or orphans. Main adopts can be won by different tasks, be it a prompt, art, a song choosing, or just naming the jack! breedings can be obtained by getting permission to use a slot from both jacks and waiting until an artist accepts your ticket. Events happen on holidays or when we feel like having them! gifting is a user's choice and you may not beg or ask someone to gift you a jack. Trading for a jack is simple, you find a user wanting to trade their jack and you talk to them and agree on a compromise to trade a jack for a jack. Remember! Jacks can only be traded for other jacks! same with items!

Well, there are a lot of things you can do with Jacks! you can roleplay with them, write stories including your jacks, draw art of them, breed them for more jacks and develop them and create relationships! the possibilities are endless!

Jack Info:
~ Jacks are assigned a gender upon creation by the artist, this cannot be changed
~ Males are slightly rarer than females with one being seen every 3-4 pages of adopts or so (1 in every 30 or so)
~ Males can be bred an unlimited amount of times
~ Females can be bred 5 times
~ Available Jacks do not have a collar
~ Can only be traded for other Jacks, acorns or gifted away

2020 Update:

New lines are being created for the Flame Tail Vixens adoption center and the species is planned to reopen with a strong push on January 1st 2021.

We need lots of new and creative artists to fill our staff, help keep a constant flow of adopts going each week and help the species grow even more! At this time ONLY, anyone who tries out to become an artist will reseve their own MYO.

This is an ongoing artist search for Flame-Tailed Vixens. At the beginning of each month new Guest artist and official artists are chosen to help out in our center. Every month we have 3 guest artist join our team for a temporary 30 days. Its not as often that we hire full time artist, however our artist search is always open and everyone is welcome to make as many entries as they'd like. please fallow the rules below and good luck to everyone!

1. please do not make any covers to store your designs in. this makes it more difficult for me to judge everyone's entries. the only exception is if your entry is off-site.
2. if I hire you, you will get the chance to show me your designs once more as guest artist. you will get a total of 5 guest artist entries for the regular ryugi adopts. after you created all of those, I will decide whether to hire you as a full time artist or not.
3. just a reminder, these aren't here for you to make adopts! they are a closed species!
4.you may not remove the "fake" sign! moving it is okay, but please just make it clearly visible.
5. you don't have to hold back on edits! feel free to go wild! just make sure you follow cs' rules!
6. you may let people claim your designs! however, they have to own the corresponding MYO ticket to do so.
7. also, there is no limit on how many entries you can make! feel free to make as many as you please! uvu

1. you should know which edits you can use for regular adopts and which edits are limited to special occasion adopts.
2. you should have a discord account so you can take place in conversations with the ryugi staff team. this is especially important if we want to host a new event or for the 00 adopts.
3. you should judge your contests as soon as possible. please don't take over a month to judge a contest after it has been closed for judging!

Welcome to Baltic Winters Sled Dog Association (BWSDA) artist competition! Here you will have the chance to try out to be an artist for the team! Please be sure to read our rules below. Enjoy!

Howdy, and welcome to the official Baltic Huskies artist competition!
This competition will be an ongoing search throughout the spring and summer, so all entries are welcome during this time! Over the course of those months the BWSDA staff will look over entries and choose artists as they apply. Do note that artists are not required to know genotypes or phenotypes, and that there will be different types of artist positions! Note all artists are eligible to participate in any events.
The types of positions are:

Main Artist - Working on the adopt lines only, with option to do customs / semi customs
Nursery Artist - Working on breedings only, with option to do customs / semi customs
Customs Artist - Working on customs / semi customs only
Full Artist - Works on main lines, breedings, customs / semi customs
Ghost Artist - Similar to full artist, except is more inactive; preferred if wanting to contribute to the species but is not reliable for weekly designs. If wishing to be a ghost artist, state the maximum time you expect between adopts in the other section of the form!

Over time if an artist wishes to change position (main to full, full to main, full to ghost, etc) that is allowed and perfectly good, the admins just require permission for the change in titles.

Artists are not required to know genetics- each husky must have them, but if an artist does not know how to make genotypes/phenotypes the other staff members will provide the genotypes/phenotypes for their adopts! Artists will be trained in learning the genes if they so wish, otherwise staff will continue to provide the genetics for the designs if they are unsure about learning!


Rules
Keep the 'Artist Competition' sign on all entries
Realistic designs only - either use picture references or genotypes (if you know them) for your design
All Baltic Huskies are fake, however you may transfer the design out of species or use it as an approved custom
You may repost your fake entries for examples or asking for critique
All main rules still apply
You may make any number of designs, but quality over quantity

Looking For
Artists with knowledge on how to create realistic designs
The ability to post a dog a week, even if designs are made in advance (exception is ghost artist)
Experience in working with communities (as an artist, mod, regular member, or otherwise)
Knowledge of layers (lock alpha, multiply, add, etc)
Artists who want to be a part of the community (join the community chats, games, etc)
Artists comfortable with diversity- LGBTQ+, different religions, races, etc

Benefits
As an artist, you will become part of the staff team, meaning you get to help make big decisions about BWSDA!

Extra slots, items, and currency
Ability to help create events
Availability to receive payment for customs
