Standing between 2 - 2 1/2 feet at the should, Delta Velorum Foxes are very tall in appearance compared to Red Foxes on Earth. They tend to be long legged in appearance and are well known for their endurance and agility. Males tend to be more muscular then females while female are more slender and elegant in appearance. A Delta Foxes fur tends to be very soft and short, and come in a wide variety of natural colors. It is not uncommon to see them in roans and dun colors similar to horses and are commonly seen in cat colors and patterns as well (such as calico, tabby, bengal markings ect). However the combination of colors and patterns are limitless, and each Delta Velorum Fox is different from the next. No two are ever the same in looks. Delta Velorum Foxes can come in any eye color and combination - no matter if it's natural or unnatural. A fox with two or more eye colors (known as Heterochromia) is uncommon but not unheard of.

Mraz had never been the best hunter...or the best scavenger. Heck, he wasn't even the best member of his pack. His alphas deemed him flaky and selfish; but what did they know? The forest might have been the home he was born into, but it certainly had never been where Mraz felt at home. It was so quiet and boring with the occasional annoyance of things like chores that needed doing to keep things running smoothly. It was all just so droll. Certainly not the place such a stunning young male like himself was meant to be.

One night after a particularly harsh scolding from the pack superiors, Mraz set off into the forest to find somewhere he could really feel at home. He walked along in the moonlight as it shone down on his brilliant magenta pelt for hours...and then he heard it. A funky beat and a soulful voice ringing out into the night air. He stopped and listened, before too long he found his hind claws tapping on the ground in time with the music. What was this? he wondered, quickening his pace to find the source.

What he happened upon that night was a gathering of rather bohemian looking humans clad in all sorts of interesting fabrics and baubles. They beat on drums, strummed on strange stringed things, and one belted out sounds from his mouth that sounded like they could be meant just for Mraz. Was this the home he dreamed of? For several weeks he trailed the travelling band of humans and every night he grew more and more bold when their songs began playing. This was what his forest home had been missing! This was the thing he had been wanting all along.

He never did go back to his pack, nor did he stay with the humans he had found that brought him the appreciation of jazz and blues. No Mraz went on travelling with a new song in his heart and new twinkle in his eyes, looking for the next wayward soul to show the light of this revolutionary sound with.

Mraz prides himself on being just a little left of center--he finds the day to day hustle and bustle of living to be boring and lacking real purpose. This can, of course, make him seem flaky, lazy, and sometimes downright stubborn. And he is indeed all of these things. But where this boy truly thrives is in the creative field--particularly music. He adores the beat of the drums, the way a voice can sound when someone has seen so much of life they just have to sing about it. He, of course, feels as though he has seen enough life to qualify but he is hardly a good blues singer.

He is prone to episodes of impulsiveness and can actually be quite brave and driven when something has captured his imagination he deems worthy of investigation. This makes him anything but loyal...but that's alright with him. He is happy to walk to the beat of his own drum and go where his heart takes him.
