Wild horses of Thalija
The wild horses of Thalija are a friesian like breed with all characteristics of a friesian and a average height from 15 to 17 hands, but even 18 hands can occur. There isn't much known about them yet and we are still discovering more herds and horses to watch their behaviour and their life. Most of them are completely wild, but when we know a bit more about them, maybe we can manage to befriend some of the lonely Stallions and Mares that don't belong to a herd.

Range Trotter #STF028 based on this drawing by HowlingHooves
by Folmes @ Mon May 13, 2024 6:27 pm [Reply]

Range Trotters are the result of crossbreeding Orlov Trotters, Finnhorses, Welsh Cobs (section C & D) and Hanoverians. Later crosses of Quarter Horses, Paint and Appaloosas to gain color and to give a boost to their hardiness. With a height average of 13-15 hands, they're a hardy breed with characteristics for various disciplines.

Created for use as work, carriage and leisure riding horses originally, they now serve as long-distance range horses, such as work with Park Rangers and mounted officers.

Willing and eager personalities, most are quickly trained to be bombproof and therefore trusted mounts in all lines of work; some are being seen in local show jumping competitions, others are notably used in therapeutic sessions for their calm temperaments. Harness races and endurance trials are common for the breed, as they are able to sustain an extended trot without tire. Cross-Country competitions see some of the taller Trotters, but due to their cob lineage this is still uncommon.

Despite the variety of competitions and work these horses are being seen in, they are still famously skilled as endurance racers. Many competitors have chosen Range Trotters due to their tireless work ethic, as well as the ease in which they can be trained. Many have become champions in endurance trials, and they have quickly become a sought after breed for their natural ability.

Rust dotted across the length, bends and dent’s haphazardly strewn throughout the metal and oddly enough a bite mark was in the top right corner. Apparently the vendor pulled it from a shark which deemed it more valuable to Junk and after a small fee he happily left with the plate.

In 1810, Zheng Yi Sao negotiated a surrender to the Qing authorities that allowed her and Zhang Bao to retain a substantial fleet and avoid prosecution. At the time of her surrender, she personally commanded 24 ships and over 1,400 pirates. She died in 1844 at the age of about 68, having lived a relatively peaceful and prosperous life since the end of her career in piracy. I however remember this story quite fondly as it was often told to me on vacations at the ocean and it is one of the biggest urban legends in Germany about Pirates, I'd say.
Störtebekers life story is not overly entertaining, he was an ordinary mediocre successfull Pirate. His life story becomes interesting AFTER it ended.
The Urban myth surrounding him tells us that he got captured and put on trial. He then got sentenced to death trough decapitation alongside his whole crew of 73 men. Störtebeker however, been seen as some kind of Robin Hood Character at times, negotiated a deal for his Crew.
He arranged them to be put in a line next to his uh... block of chop and all men which he manages to pass after his head has fallen will be free man and not decapitated.
Story has it that he managed to pass 11 or 12 men before the hangman tripped his body. The 11/12 saved Crewmember where however still hanged.

They evolved their unique ocular setup to catch prey silhouetted against what little light filters into the deep ocean from the surface.

Hello! Couple edits before this cat can be approved:

There is an approximate maximum ear height in Stars! Swishy has established this cat as approximately as tall as you can naturally make cat ears, and your cat's ears are notable taller than that. Please adjust the ears to be a bit shorter than they are currently!

It looks like you've raised the back a significant amount for this weight edit. Cats don't really seem to build up weight along their backs like this (I poked one of my cats a lot to confirm this 😭) and it kinda gives the illusion of some sort of height change. If you could lower the back lines back down to their original height that would be great ^^

And finally, along the back (over the charcoal shading) it looks like the inner rosette color is lighter than the base (since the base is getting darker). Inner tabby color on wildtype tabbies should always be darker than the base coat underneath it, so try darkening the inner rosettes along the areas with charcoal shading! Here is an example of this

Please lmk when that's been updated!

He turned his head away, refusing to led me tie the rope around him. I was puzzled but decided to ask why.

He turned and headed to the cell next to his. It was empty. Or so I thought. With a gentle tap on the rusty gate, something started to shift in the cell. It skittered with frightening speed across the damp floor. It crawled up along Typhoon’s legs and rested itself at the base of his neck. The sight before my eyes sent chills down my spine.

Range Trotter #2397 based on this drawing by HowlingHooves
by Idem @ Tue Aug 02, 2022 11:26 am [Reply]
