Post a reply in this thread with a prompt or short description of what you’re looking for, and if I get the time or inspiration, I’ll make you a design!
No need to offer cs pets! I don’t care for them too much. If you like your design and want to send a tip, feel free to do so! I have a kofi. But it’s optional- I’m doing these for fun xx

Unicorn commissions
Currently closed, requests only atm
Pricing is £10/hour spent making the design (check the oekaki timestamp)

Rocky Mountain Trotters V.2 based on this drawing by Fawntura
by Fawntura @ Sat Jun 22, 2024 5:55 am [Reply]

Image
Image
Rocky Mountain Trotter's are a rare and stunning breed. Every horse in the breed links back to a single stud and brood mare. Wave the stud, who was a Quarter Horse and Rocky Mountain Horse mix and Pepper, who was a Missouri Fox Trotter. The two horses were owned by a farmer who bred them and realized their traits made them good pack horses for carrying boxes and gear up the Mountains as well and good trail horses thanks to their Rocky mountain horse and Fox Trotter heritage. He also found that almost all of their foals had the ability to perform the "single footed" Gait and the "Fox Trot" Gait.
Unfortunately after owning the farm and the horses for several decades the farmer went bankrupt and was forced to sell or release his horses into the mountains.
RMT are well known for their lateral gait's, caused by their bloodline connection with the Missouri Fox Trotter & Rocky Mountain horse.
Rocky Mountain Trotter's are found in every color, but most commonly in bay varieties. They range in height from 13-17 hands, but are often found between 15.2-17 hands. These horses are also known for their muscles and willingness to work, making them good on trails. Rocky Mountain Trotters have also grown a tendency to be curious, making them even better in the bigger world.
The breed has grown to the point where there are hundreds of horses in the world now, instead of just a couple dozen.
But as the breed grows inbreeding, and cross breeding is becoming more and more common. Along side wild populations starting to pop up in the wilds or for that matter in low populated cities and towns. So the state of Colorado has devised a plan to keep the breed widespread, maintained, safe, & whilst still preserving the breed.
They have created the RMT Re-homing Act. The RMT re-homing Act acts as a way to limit the population while keeping the breed healthy and striving! Breeding is regulated, having to first be approved by the council of the RMT Association. Any tamed RMT's needing to be re-homed will be brought to the RMTA's Stable site, where they will wait for new adopters to take them home. Along side the tame horses at RMTA's Stable any wild RMT's brought in via round-up programs or by the cops/animal control will under-go a training, while waiting for a new home.
So what are you waiting for? I’m sure among all these beautiful studs, mares, and foals there's one for you!

by parsnip @ Fri Jun 27, 2025 8:42 pm [Reply]

Not sure how fleshed out these guys will be; guess that depends on how many people would be interested in them, as it is now they’re more to act as an outlet for designing

I’d be happy to consider diving into a more arpg style. There are two bases; heavy and light boned, and about 5 sets of mane and tails that can be mixed and matched. Coats will be relatively realistic but once again, would be happy to host events that bring in more fantastical coats should anyone be interested!

For now I’ll be putting out casual adopts, and potentially opening breedings (if there’s traction breedings may get foal art but for now if breeding opens they’ll just be made to the same lineart)

parsnip @ Fri Jun 27, 2025 8:43 pm

breeding requires an intact mare and stallion; foals are typically born as singletons but very rarely healthy twins can be produced. at this time, all foals will be made on adult lineart

Cupido Drafts V5 based on this drawing by Pandapop
by Pandapop @ Sun Jan 19, 2025 8:34 am [Reply]

Image
------------• ☆ •------------

Cupido Drafts are an ancient breed, able to trace their roots back to the destriers and coursers of medieval Europe. Centuries of careful breeding refined them into heavy draft horses ideally suited for work on cold, often damp farms. Alas, even Cupidos could not compete with the growing mechanization of agriculture, and in the mid-1900s their numbers began to dwindle. Fans of the breed took that as their signal and began a global effort to save the breed. While some outside blood made its way into the gene pool, primarily from Shires, Norikers, Vanners, and Spotted Draft Horses, Cupidos have experienced something of a renaissance. Today their numbers are steadily climbing, spurred on by a devoted breed association and shows meant to showcase the breed's natural athleticism and beauty.

Modern Cupidos are gentle giants, as famed for their sweet temperaments as they are for their size and strength. Their patient demeanor and willingness to work make them ideal for a variety of applications, from agricultural work to combined driving and skijoring to vaulting. They range in size from 15-18 hands tall and come in every color and pattern seen in modern horse breeds.

Still a big ol' wip.

✩ All CS rules apply, and are enforced in our Discord. Familiarize yourself with them here!

✩ There is a zero tolerance policy for harassing, bullying or guilt-tripping. Warnings will be issued before drastic measures are taken, repeated offences will result in a species ban. Be kind to each other!

✩ Cupido's are a closed species. This means you may not make your own (No one is stopping you from making your own draft horse! This is specifically for Cupido's.), or "breed" them to outside horse species. You may upload your Cupido's off of CS, as long as they are linked back to the their original adopt page and both Emberwolf and the artist who made it is credited. (Sites like Toyhou.se, Wix, Weebly, etc. are acceptable - DA storage is not.)

✩ To request breedings or imports, you must have an updated storage page. Things to include at a bare minimum are links to the adopt, lineages (parents or foals), and breeding slots. Breeding slots must be updated when a breed request is accepted or slots are traded between users.

✩ Breeding slots are allowed to be traded for other Cupido slots and (in v5) may not be revoked, unless one full year has passed, or the user you have given a slot to has deactivated their account or received a site or species ban. Slots may not be traded or used with Cupido's owned by banned or deactivated members.

✩ Breeding permissions granted before the v5 launch are still valid as long as they are clear and concise (e.g., a clear screenshot). However, tracking whether these older permissions have already been used is difficult, so it is your responsibility as the owner of the permission to ensure it hasn’t been used yet. If caught abusing this, you will be barred from the Breeding Barn.

✩ Bans are not issued lightly, however in the case of a species ban, all freely acquired Cupido's will be revoked and distributed back into the community, either to the artists that created them or through a giveaway raffle. All items will be revoked and raffled off. Paid Cupido's will be considered "void" and may not be interacted with in any way.

✩ All pre v5 Cupido's are eligible for breeding, slot trading and competitions. v5 Cupido's now have five (5) breeding slots, whereas legacy (v1-v4) will keep their original eight (8).

✩ Rules are subject to change or revision at any time.

Wild Restlers Adoption based on this drawing by Error
by CrazyB @ Sun Apr 27, 2025 8:36 am [Reply]

Image

In the early 19th centuries explorers came across an ancient monument for a unique bizarre creature that looked fairly similar to a buffalo but it had some equine features. They where found near the old caverns in Yellowstone seeming to come from a small long lost native tribe. Scientist just summed it up to nothing more then poor artistry but a small group of explorers couldn’t let it go and went on in search of more answers. After 10 long years the explorers came across a gorgeous plains/grasslands hidden deep within the mountains where they found the answers they were looking for these gorgeous, majestic giant creatures, half Buffalo half horse. deciding to name their discovery Restlers due to seemingly be the rulers of this area.

Restlers have a standard height range of 16hh to 17.2hh, though select few may be shorter or taller. They display nearly every coat color found among any other equine/bison breeds with patterns that extend even beyond that! They don't seem as feral as wild buffalo, maybe there will even be a chance to tame
these beauties

Fables ✧ Spring Reverie Nursery based on this drawing by bezel
by bezel @ Mon Mar 03, 2025 1:54 pm Attachment(s) [Reply]

. *✧・゚ SPRING REVERIE *✧・゚: .
main adopts available traits
────────────── ⋅ ──────────────── ⋅ ──────────────── ⋅ ──────────────

Fables reproduce via magic at enchanted locations called nurseries.
A nursery may appear randomly in any location, and can be used until the magic is sapped.
Fables born here often exhibit new traits and themed designs.

A secluded meadow, dappled with sunlight. At its heart is a crystal-clear pond, dotted with water lilies.
The landscape is teeming with life; flowers bloom in every shape and vibrant hue.
Butterflies glitter and dance as the trees sway gently in the breeze,
their whispers intertwined with the soft hum of magic.

Welcome to the Spring Reverie Nursery! There are opportunities for both owners and non-owners to get fables here.

    ✦ GUIDELINES
      • Each individual fable has 3 nursery (breeding) slots.
      • Each individual user can receive 2 fables from this spring nursery (not including ticket customs).
      • Nurseries are seasonal, and a new one will appear eventually! This topic will not be reused next year.
    ✦ HOW TO
      • Artists will post on the thread when opening slots with a form to fill out.
      • Openings might be fcfs, raffle, non-owner only, etc.
      • Most forms will ask you to include one thing (trait, pattern, or colors/vibe) to include and one thing to omit. Available traits are here!
        • You can specify a trait by name or say things like “any horn”, “feathered type wings”, “wavy traits”, but please don’t give two options. Same with patterns/colors.
        • These choices are guaranteed (according to the artist's interpretation) unless custom traits.
        • Custom traits/extras pass at the artist’s discretion. If it does pass the trait won’t be an exact copy, it’s the artist’s choice how to draw it and it may also be influenced by the nursery theme.
NON-OWNERS can get their first fable from the nursery and are not required to have a parent fable.
OWNERS use a nursery slot from one of their fables. This fable serves as the "parent", and the offspring will share some traits with it, while also being influenced by the nursery theme.
ANYONE can redeem 🎟️ tickets here as semi-customs. The 2-per-person limit does not apply to ticket customs. Tickets can be redeemed when an artist opens slots unless the artist specifies otherwise.
TWINS is a special type of opening where two parent fables create two offpsring, "twins". The offpsring will have aspects from both parents, but can also be influenced by the nursery theme. It uses a nursery slot from both parent fables.
        • Each offspring must go to a different user! Usually this means each parent owner gets one, but it is acceptable to breed two of your fables together as long as one twin goes to another user/is adopted out.
        • Each user is limited to being involved in only one pairing (per each opening).
        • Proof of the agreement will be required.
There may be other kinds of openings as well!

The Mimicrattery
Original lines by p-ond

Welcome to the Mimicrattery! This is a rattery that houses "Mimicrats." Mimicrats - or "Mimic Rats" - are a sub-species of Little Rats (created by p-ond). Little Rats are a chill, open open species.

What are Mimicrats?

Lore wise, the Mimicrat has learned that it can change its coat to mimic something it truly likes, loves, or knows a lot about! That may be a real world creature, a plant or rock, a CS Pet Design, or sometimes even more abstract or unusual things. Sometimes, those transformations can extend to small mutations - fins, wings, gemstones, etc!

Mimicrats can only make this coat change once in their life, as it takes a great deal of energy and 'rearranges' their cells in the process. Thus, you may sometimes find a young Mimicrat who has not yet taken a new form and is waiting for inspiration...

Rules & Such

Because the Little Rats were made open and free to use thanks to their generous artist, I aim to keep the same chill vibes here. So...

  • Lines should always be credited to p-ond. Coloring and edits should be otherwise credited to approved artists of the Mimicrats as listed below.
  • You can use your Mimicrat in any way you want. This includes selling, trading, transferring, etc.
  • You can breed your Mimicrat with any other Little Rat if that community allows it.
  • Please respect other Little Rat communities! They are not required to consider Mimicrats compatible with their own.
  • Respect all CS, Oekaki, and other posted rules and staff members.
  • You may win one free (raffled, or FCFS) Mimicrat every 3 days. You may enter as many of these raffles as you like, but once you win, you will be put on a short three day 'time out' so others have a chance.

How to Adopt a Mimicrat

  • Mimicrats will be posted as artists create and put them up for adoption. Look for a Mimicrat with an "ADOPT ME" sign.
  • Each adoption will have its own rules for entry, including an ending date.
  • Winners will be notified and asked to post their name and any other special customizations (see below) for the artist to include in the original post.
  • Each person can only win a free Mimicrat every 7 days, even if they entered multiple raffles before they won. Their first win will be dated and they will go on a "winning cooldown." This cooldown does not apply to purchased, traded, or bred Mimicrats.

Mimicrat Breeding

Mimicrat breeding is not yet available.

Mimicrat Imaginarium

This special "custom" center will open rarely depending on the artists. In it, young Mimicrats who have not yet chosen their Mimicry will be waiting for a caring person to come and give them inspiration to form their adult look.

Each Imaginarium session may have different rules, available slots, and pricing.

Mimicrat Mutations

Currently available, "standard" mutations will be listed here. If a mutation is not listed here, that means it has not yet been imagined (drawn). New standard mutations are at the discretion of LithiumReflections; custom mutations are at the discretion of an Imaginarium artist.

  • Trimmed Locks (Forelock trimmed, eye visible)
  • Hairless (No Mane or Floof)
  • Shoulder Fin
  • Scaling
  • Fluffy Legs
  • Cloven Hooves

Mimicrat Accessories

Currently available, "standard" accessories are listed here. If an accessory is not here, that means it hasn't yet been imagined (drawn). New standard accessories are at the discretion of LithiumReflections; custom accessories are at the discretion of an Imaginarium artist.

  • Winner's Medal
  • Winner's Ribbon

Little Miracles based on this drawing by teresa8oats
by Fawntura @ Wed Mar 19, 2025 9:33 am [Reply]

Image
Little Miracles, we all have them, some bigger some smaller. But what if I told you that some of those miracles can be materialized? Or caused by a guardian angel? Well not exactly an angle but close enough.
Little Miracle Unicorns, also known as Little Miracles, have only been recently discovered.
So far these little equines are fairly skittish and shy, only showing themselves consistently to their wisher also known as human. Little miracles can be produced from breeding, but the main source of these little guys is when someone wishes so hard or so purely and truly that their cries are heard and manifested into Little unicorns. But they can also form when an angel grants a wish and for what ever reason they feel fit that granted wish can also form as a Little unicorn. Then from there LM's move around the world creating small miracles and happiness as they go, though they usually stick pretty close to the human who caused them to form. But that's not it, it is also recorded that Little Miracles are able to wield different types of magic! Though some magic types being more common than others!
Each Magic “Base type” can have different specializations of that magic! An example being a “Base type water” but that unicorn specializes in Tides or Mist!
But no matter each unicorn always has what is called charm magic, this is what grants them the ability to create the small miracles throughout our lives, like not totally flunking your math quiz!
Littler miracles don't get the “little” from not just their charm magic but also their size, most LM’s stand between 10 to 13.3 hand height (hh). But no different than a child's mind these unicorns are not limited in their colors, while they don't come in unnatural colors or patterns unless wished upon by a very special kid, in which case these are very much Mythical Miracles.
But still there is much not yet known about these little guys so follow along as we all learn about them!

HUGE WIP, I am hoping to turn them into something like a HARPG so this could take a while! But maybe a few adopts by end of April or something?? But they wont be completely running till June or July!
In the mean time you can join our discord for updates!

Dragon Scales - Dz
Allowed on: All
Created by Fawntura on Apirl 14th 2025!
A white marking that causes scale like markings to appear all over the body, while can be present all over the body on the underside and legs the markings are more faded. Dragon Scales can also cause random white streaks of hair in the mane and tail.

Toxins - tx
Created by Fawntura on Apirl 22nd 2025!
Allowed on: Air, Earth, Minerals, Toxic
Toxins is both a marking and genetic mutation that can only be seen on Toxic based LM's, when het. it causes no change to the horses horn or coat, but the mane and tail will have a neon yellow or green fade starting at the base of the M&T and possible streaks of the same color through out the M&T. When homo. Toxins causes a slight glow to the horn with usually a thin coat of mucus like substance covering the horn also. When in this state (Homo.) the LM will also present with the M&T fading as seen with het., also a possibility with this is patches of Neon yellow or green diluting areas of the coat at full or partial dilution.

Hades Flare - hf
Created by Fawntura on June 22nd 2025!
Allowed on: Fire, Dark/Sadows, Astral, Light
Hades flare is a mutation that is seen when a LM presents with a Homo. hfhf, and when a LM presents with Hades Flare (hfhf) the mane and tail will be turned into a flame like state. While in this state the mane and tail is not made of hair but instead a flame without the possibility of burning someone and only emitting a low constant heat, these flames will always match their magic source. But this trait will also effect the LMs horn and just like the mane and tail it will emit a glow.
(Please Note that for this Gene the manes and tail will float in a upward way no different then the flames of a fire)

Under World - Unw
Created by Fawntura on June 22nd 2025!
Allowed on: All
Under World will simply present as a white pattern on the unicorns coat that looks like a skeleton, these skeletons can be as realistic or goofy as liked.

I feel like I become doodle Picasso whenever I make snoodles cause I genuinely can’t draw — they just bring something out in me xD

Anyway I’m glad they’re recognizable as a Kitsune, would you like them? And if so do you want me to give it traits?

Sure! I’d love them! Also you win number five here
That’s genuinely evil of the snoodle to do

One defining characteristic of the species is that they don't have normal equine tail’s; but instead are seen with 1 to 3 unicorn or cat tails. Another defining characteristic is their horns and tusks. Male Dalepir’s have large singular horns with upwards facing tusks, while females have very small to no horns and downward facing tusks.
Much like that of horses Dalepir’s travel in large herds with up to 30 individuals; with about 1 mature male to every 5 mature females. Dalepir’s stand anywhere from 16 to 18 hands the average height being about 17 hands. Dalepir’s have been estimated to live as long as a hundred years, but so far have only been truly proven to live into their mid to late fifties. Dalepir’s are omnivores eating everything from small rodents and birds to grass and leaves, unlike most equid's. One more thing that sets this species apart from other equines is the fact that each individual expresses spotting patterns!
These spots are often to referred to as "Fisher Spots", each Dalepir's Fisher Spots are unique much like the stripes of zebras their never the same! Most fisher spots look very much like BC spots seen in normal horses, but they can have patterns like that of our Mascot Folami or very uncommon mutated spots! Some examples of mutated spots are like that of Leopard, Jaguar, Serval, or Zanzibar leopard's spots, though these are rarely seen especially out side of captivity
With all this in mind they have often been connected to gods in different cultures and belief systems, and often herds are hunted and their coats, tails, horns and tusks are sold. Due to the pressure from poaching they have decreased drastically in number leading to the founding of the IDRO (International Dalepir Rescue Organization), whose main focus is to rescue Dalepir’s in need and work to preserve the species as a whole.
They oftentimes adopt out Dalepir’s so that they can make space to rescue more, tough they are not riding horses with their slim frame and weak backs they cant hold the weight; but they can participate in liberty and pull wagons and sleighs with ease.
So do you think you're ready to bring home your own Dalepir?

1. Please follow all CS site and art rules.

2. Dalepirs are a closed species and only allowed artists may use these lines. This goes for adopts, customs, breedings, etc. If taken offsite, you must link back to the main adopt page and give credit where necessary.

3. Stealing any Dalepir lore, designs will result in a report and ban.

4. Users must have an active and updated storage page in order to breed and order customs. This means having all of the slots updated and any other information up to date. You do not have to have one before you own your first Dalepir, but will be required for any more that follow.

5. Please be respectful of everyone within the community. This means being civil and not picking fights with other users. I know we all have different opinions and beliefs, but please keep it kind.

6. All Dalepir's have a maximum of six breeding slots. This can only be increased via items or in training.

7. Please do not bump adoption pages for updating information. If it has been over 30 days, please send me a private message and I will get it sorted out for you.

8. Users are allowed to trade/giveaway Dalepir's to others, but may not be sold for c$, etc. If doing so, both users (previous owner and new owner) must post on the adoption page stating the trade and confirm it. You must also message one of our archivists in order to keep everything updated.

9. Custom Dalepir's can be created for C$ or Pets. If using c$, the price must not exceed 500c$ unless ordering multiple customs. All artists may set their own prices- this is subject to their discretion.

10. Users may only win one adopt per day.

11. Artists! Please do not completely remove the shading, highlights or lines! You may adjust in color and Opacity but they may never be below 25% Opacity for highlights, 20% Opacity for shading, and 50% for the lines!

12. Dalepir's are not allowed to have normal horse tails, all tails must be unicorn or cat like.

13. Every Dalepir also must have the appropriate features for their gender (ie. Large single horn for males and upward facing tusk(s).

14. All mutations must be approved by Fawntura or a moderator.

All rules are subject to change at any time as well as new ones being added.

[size=85][center][quote]Range Trotters are the result of crossbreeding Orlov Trotters, Finnhorses, Welsh Cobs (section C & D) and Hanoverians. Later crosses of Quarter Horses, Paint and Appaloosas to gain color and to give a boost to their hardiness. With a height average of 13-15 hands, they're a hardy breed with characteristics for various disciplines.

Created for use as work, carriage and leisure riding horses originally, they now serve as long-distance range horses, such as work with Park Rangers and mounted officers.

Willing and eager personalities, most are quickly trained to be bombproof and therefore trusted mounts in all lines of work; some are being seen in local show jumping competitions, others are notably used in therapeutic sessions for their calm temperaments. Harness races and endurance trials are common for the breed, as they are able to sustain an extended trot without tire. Cross-Country competitions see some of the taller Trotters, but due to their cob lineage this is still uncommon.

Despite the variety of competitions and work these horses are being seen in, they are still famously skilled as endurance racers. Many competitors have chosen Range Trotters due to their tireless work ethic, as well as the ease in which they can be trained. Many have become champions in endurance trials, and they have quickly become a sought after breed for their natural ability.[/quote][/center]

Name: Emperor Stripe (EstrEstr/Estrestr)
Creator: Embergleam
Description: A marking based on the Emperor Tetra. Adds two stripes that run horizontally across a trotter’s body, usually starting at the muzzle and ending at the dock of their tail. The outer stripe is wide and paler than the body coat. The inner stripe is narrow, contained entirely within the outer stripe, and can be either black or darker than the body coat. The inner stripe can be ‘broken’, including starting further back than the muzzle, at artists’ discretion.

Name: Fire Pinnate (FbyFby/Fbyfby)
Creator: Embergleam
Description: A marking based on the firefish goby. Adds black edging around a trotter's croup, rear legs, and belly, as well as causing a black ombre effect on the tail. Homozygous carriers of this gene can occasionally display a pale lavender 'cap' forming an inverted T above and between their eyes before stretching back over their neck.

Name: Johanni Cichlid EbjcEbjc / Ebjcebjc
Creator: HowlingHooves
Description: Based on the Electric Blue Johanni Cichlid; Causes two blue stripes to be seen along the sides of the body. The top stripe is a full "oval" in that it fully connects all around the horse. The bottom stripe starts just behind the jaw, and meets under the dock of the tail.
Stripes may vary in size, but the separate two do not touch. They may be mixed sizes across individuals, as well as solid or broken.
The top stripe will always cover the upper eyelid, but will not fully cover the eye as it traverses the brow of the horse.
The ends of the horses' mane, tail and feathers may or may not be seen in the same blue as the striping as shown above.
Shades of blue can vary, but each individual will only present in one solid color, never a mixture of two different blues. Examples of acceptable blue shades can be located here!

Name: Peacock Cichlid | ObpcObpc / Obpcobpc
Creator: HowlingHooves
Description: Based on the Orange Blotch (OB) Peacock Cichlid; Heavy spotting of small to medium size, many bunched together to create a larger splotch.
On bases without Cream (Cr) or Pearl (prl), it will always be black. (ex. Black, Chestnut above)
On bases with Cream (Cr), the spotting will become a medium shade of blue .
On bases with Pearl (prl), the spotting will become a pastel shade of blue.
This gene does not affect the mane or tail. Spotting can be heavy or light, and some individuals have shown a sort of "glow" to the marking. (ie. usage of burn and dodge tools)
Shades of blue can vary, and as stated above individuals may have a "glow" effect that results in a darker and/or lighter mixture of the same shade for the spotting. Examples of acceptable blue shades can be located here!

Name: Achilles Tang | ActAct/Actact
Creator: HowlingHooves
Description: An orange marking on the side, hindquarters, spine and belly of the horse. Color can be a yellow-orange or red-orange, ranging in shade/tone.
Marking can affect the upper portion of the tail hairs, but does not fully color the hair. Some individuals' tails are not altered.

A crescent shaped marking appears on the hindquarters, size can range from just below the stifle to a smaller one starting at the point of the hip. It will curve up and then meet with the opposite side at the base of the tail, where it will create a solid or a broken stripe along the spine, and will stop at the withers. It does not affect the mane. A dorsal stripe is also at the sides of the belly on both sides, but this stripe will never touch the other.
A tapered spot is also present in the middle of the body, sizes can vary among individuals. The largest do not move further than the shoulder, and the tapered end never meets the crescent portion on the hindquarters. The tapered end of the spot may or may not be broken up into the spot itself, or the spot may be fully solid.
This marking can be seen over or under white markings.

Name: Lepomis (LepLep/Leplep)
Creator: Bruja
Description: A marking based on the Lepomis family of fish, specifically the Bluegill and the Pumpkinseed fishes. Both versions have a large black spot behind the jaw, with Bluegill adding a blue-grey line along the jaw and a soft red blush along the throat and Pumpkinseed adding streaks of bright blue to the face and a yellow blush along the bottom of the horse's neck and belly.

Name: Chum Salmon (brindle?)(ChumChum/Chumchum or +Chum)
Creator: Bruja
Description: This gene would create mottled barring along the bottom half of the horse, darker than the coat except over the barrel where it takes on a reddish hue. May add darker colored striping where the pattern meets the mane and/or tail.

Name: Coral Brindle (+Coral)
Creator: Bruja
Description: A brindle pattern replicating the look of brain corals, creating labyrinth-like pattern of angular lines. Limited to 50% or less of the total body.

Name: Mother Of Pearl (MopMop/Mopmop)
Creator: Bruja
Description: Adds a faint rainbow sheen to any white markings, very similar to the iridescence found inside some shells. No more than 15% opacity.

Name: Seashell (SeaSea/Seasea)
Creator: Bruja
Description: A white marking that creates bands of varying thicknesses and increasing widths apart to mimic the growth patterns found in most shells. Bands may be smooth or wavy, with the most concentration being on the hindquarters and no banding reaching the face.

Name: Amalthean (insert Pride dilution of choice) (+Amalthean)
Creator: Bruja
Description: Restricts the Pride dilution to the points of the horse, with a distinct pointed star on the forehead of the same color, and the eyes of the Trotter being some shade of the dilution. This can occur on any base coat.

Name: Red Bull (RbRb)
Creator: Bruja
Description: Creates a fiery-colored(Red, Orange, Yellow) cape of flame shaped spots along the horse's top line, never passing below the chest or belly. Tints the muzzle a matching shade.

Perrites, also known as Petite Cloven Fowl, are a diminutive and highly social bird-like equine native to the deep jungles of Southeast Asia. Standing around five to seven hands at the shoulder, they are just barely the size of an average domestic chicken. They are often kept in large flocks as guard animals to other livestock due to their protective nature and loud warning calls. Coming in a wide variety of colorful coat variations they are also kept as flashy indoor exotic pets by some, though they can be demanding by nature and difficult to train. However you aim to keep them, as long as they have a flock to socialize with and are given plenty of room to roam, perrites can be very loyal animals toward humans and quite fulfilling to care for.

_________________________________________

Adopt Rules
- Perrites are a closed species; you may not make your own customs or breedings for any reason
- There is no limit to how many you may adopt nor any cooldowns
- Perrites have no breeding slot limits or breeding cooldowns
- Sex cannot be visually changed (ie horns/antlers on bucks), however you're welcome to give them different pronouns
- Line edits and item additions are allowed by artists; but adopters may not alter their perrites themselves nor ask for edits
- A storage page is required to be able to breed, create customs, or enter shows, but not for regular adopt comps (storage example)
- Users may not sell their perrites for more than they spent on them, and the currency must stay the same (bought for C$, sell for C$, ect)
- To sell/gift/trade just notify the current active archivist and inform them of the transfer, then post with a link to the new owner on the perrite's adoption page to notify the artist

_________________________________________

Species Notes
- Native to Asia, like their very distant avian cousins the red jungle fowl
- Often described as canine or fox-like in their behaviors during play and socialization
- First imported to Mexico and sold widespread as exotic pets leading to their odd mis-communicated name
- Very smol, like 5 to 7 hands SMOL, with min being 4.3 and max being 7.3
- Bucks have horns/antlers/etc of some sort, which can be anything from rams horns, unicorn horns, rhino horns, goat horns, elk or deer antlers, bull horns, or really anything one can think of!
- Bucks can have unnatural coats themed after any kind of bird, or regular horse designs
- They can also have a combo of bird & horse markings mixed together
- There are a variety of unique traits that can add unnatural effects as well
- Hens have no horns/antlers/ect
- Hens can only show horse based coats, no bird coats
- There are a few main tail types, including peacock (most common) as well as rooster and racket
- Feathering can be any color/pattern, usually themed after birds, but it can be anything
- Head crest feathers are always a separate solid or slightly two-toned color from the mane/tail feathers
- Newborn foals are mainly insectivores, but they eat more vegetation-based diets as adults
- Favorite foods include a variety of algae, soft grasses, tree bark, and their most beloved - mushrooms!
- Curly down feather texture base fur
- Curled marwari ears, though their hearing is a bit poor
- Cloven hooves that need regular trimming if not exposed to rocky surfaces
- They make chicken noises, bucks can crow like roosters
- Live in large flocks and are super social (better adopt a lot of them)
- Mountain-goat-like agility, defying the laws of physics always, often finding themselves sleeping perched on roofs or tree branches

_________________________________________

Artist Rules
- Artists may come and go as they please, there is no activity rules/limits
- There is no max price you may charge for an adopt or custom, all currencies are permitted
- May make one personal custom a month
- May do your own breedings as often as you please within reason
- Can do line edits or add items as you please as long as they follow the main rules;
- No massively changing the species (ie no weird mutations/wings/other species body parts/removing fur-feathers/etc)
- No saddles or other riding specific tack (they're the size of chickens, who would that be for? lol) or robotic parts/things that mimic the body edit no-nos such as wings or extra limbs
- Yes to (but not limited to) roman or dished noses, extra foot feathering, new tails (must be avian themed but can be anything bird-like!), edited (but not full removal of) crest feathers, edited ears (within the equine/bovine/cervidae/etc category only), changing mane feathers to hair/long manes, beards, extra fluffs, feathering in extra places like on elbows/spines/cheeks/etc, changing eye shape/pupils, adding whiskers, adding extra or custom lined horns/antlers (bucks only as always), or adjusting body shape/weight such as mini pony stature etc
- Remove background/foreground once adopted to provide transparent images (you may make a color-in version with the background still on if you like, especially for those with the 'Glassy' gene)
- Unique traits should be kept relatively rarer than the average natural coat
- Adopts and imports may not contain more than two unique traits; breedings can contain any number
- Must follow species guidelines closely; if unsure, just ask!
- For filling out the sections;
Coat Type = Equine, Avian, Hybrid (if a combination of both), and if the coat includes any of the unique marking it should include 'Unique' in front (ie 'Unique Avian', 'Unique Hybrid', etc)
Coat Color = The color/marking names (this should be as realistic as possible) ie 'Black Overo', 'Blue Budgie Tobiano', 'African Grey', ect
Horn Type = Whichever horn lineart is chosen. If it's custom lined, name it whatever the horns are inspired by. If a hen, list it as 'None'
Eye Color = Enter whatever fun color name you would like! This can be anything from simple one word answers like 'red' to entire quotes/lyrics/nonsense words. No limitations! Heterochromia of all sorts is also totally allowed.
Tail Type = Whichever tail lineart is chosen. If custom lined, name it whatever species the tail is inspired by.

Breeding Rules
- Must have an updated storage page ie an Aviary of some sort in order to request a breeding (to track offspring)
- Only buck x hen breedings are allowed naturally, unless a rainbow ticket is used
- No cooldowns or slot limits for any perrites
- Will only produce one offspring per breeding, no twins (unless the stud has won the twin bonus trait via shows)
- Inbreeding parents to offspring or full sibling to full sibling is not allowed; further relatives do not matter
- Line edits pass at artist discretion only and are not guaranteed, you may not request edits to be passed nor any markings/colors
- Gender and height are randomly rolled by the breeding artist; there is a 25% chance of rolling buck, and a 75% chance of rolling hen
- Feather coloration will be a mix of both parents in some way
- Base coat will often be slightly randomized, often adding new markings or variation through the lineage (ex; a solid coat x solid coat may produce a tobi baby at random, things of that nature)
- Horn types on bucks will be directly inherited from the sire, this will not change unless a keratin ticket is used
- Unique traits have a 25% chance of passing onto offspring; if both parents have the same trait, it is still only a 25% chance roll
- To use gifted/traded slots, include a screenshot of the owner of the perrite granting you permission (quotes will not count)
- Do not PM artists about slots! Artists will post here with a form to fill out when they have decided to open some breeding slots. Never pester or ask artists to open slots just for you.

Why hello new Shady adopts. I love that the bucks can have flashy bird coats like how most male birds have flashier coats than females, and all the little details you've already formed about how these guys develop/their personalities.

I think I blacked out the whole time I was drawing this… I don’t know if it’s allowed but I wanted to gift the artists for all they do! I made the calico/monarch specifically for Fatestoryteller based off of the designs I’ve seen you like — I love your art, please never stop doing what you do! The sea dragon is made for Columbina, based off of designs I’ve seen you keep! Ive see you make yourself and others lots of snoodles, you deserve one made for you for a change!
I’m not sure if the other artists are still around or any mods, but they are also welcome to claim one of these!

The others may be split between you two if you’d like to have them — ofc I’m not obligating you to accept any of these or make them into officials of the species if you don’t want/like them! It’s completely up to you guys :D

(This also may or may not be my application to be become an official artist—I wanted to see if I could do it…)

Oh my gosh! This is so incredibly sweet of you! I adore the little calico monarch friend and would love to keep them, if you're sure ;u;

And these all look great and follow the rules of the species, so I declare them all real whether people claim them or not. ^v^

A few of our artists haven't been around CS in quite some time, it's true, but there are still a few that are still active. I don't know if they're still interested in the species, though, so its up to you if you want to keep them available in case those few see them, or if you'd rather keep them yourself/offer them up for general adoption. I'd be happy to post about it on the main thread and/or leave an announcement on the main post to let artists know they can come here to claim. ^^' All up to you.

And I'd love to see you fill out an artist form and join the official artist list! Your little guys are so precious and show some excellent creativity. You'd be more than welcome. ^^

Yayy!! :D I’m seriously considering becoming one at least for the summer… so I think I will fill one out! If the others aren’t super active anymore I may post the non-custom ones for general adopt… my only concern is knowing what traits to put for each! I know there’s a list of traits but as an artist are you allowed to list others?

FateStoryteller @ Sat Jun 21, 2025 6:12 am

Oh, please feel free to list new traits that aren't on the main thread ^^' I hadn't thought of it, but yeah, I don't think beaks are listed yet, huh? x3 What would you recommend as a rarity for that?

Welcome to Pine Valley Ranch adopts! Every user will be able to claim a randomized founder to start off! After that, Pine Valley quarter horses can be “bought” through the auction center! All adopts beside customs will be free. Our auction center currently had two options, both with limited slots! Option one is applying for a horse in the loose auction pen. You have a 100% chance of getting a horse, and the base color and pattern will be completely randomly generated. Option two is through our main auction. You’ll know what color the horse is ahead of time but watch out! These horses are very popular and there is only a 75% chance of winning the horse you choose.

Image

• CS rules apply!

• Do not claim the species as your own

• You may only apply for 1 auction horse per round (per person) Meaning you can apply for 1 option at a time. Pre-rolled genetics, or completely random.

• Please be kind to all members of the community and staff!

• Do not rush artists. Adopts may take up to 1 week to finish. Anything past that point please dm me!

• Do not remove Inkiings signature!

• If stored offsite, please credit Inkiing for the lines and the design artist for the design
