Neravontii Agency Base (V4)
by KathrynKat @ Tue Jan 14, 2025 6:44 am [Reply]

Sketch of a Neravontii!
Species originally created by MustangKnight and now owned by me as of the past 4 years.
Can't believe it's already been 4 years!

I've got some plans!
This is a Closed Species, created by and originally owned by Mustangknight, then sold to me at the end of 2020!

This will be a new line base for the adopts while temporarily running on CS.
Things will be slightly different than when originally ran on here vs the private discord changes.
Breeding may not open for some time, noting that out now!

If a staff/admin sees this, you can move it to closed species!

This species will never be for sale!
No CO-Ownerships will be considered!!
If i die young, or unable to ever run closed species again, Neravontii & Tephlans would go back to Mustangknight!

KathrynKat @ Tue Jan 14, 2025 10:30 am

Rules & Important Notes:

    - For the time, no tickets can be redeemed.
    - For the time, it is impossible to receive a full Deravontii. They're currently unavailable.
    - Ridgeback on CS for the time, will remain under 50% Deravontii.
    - Breeding will not be open for a long time, and will be focused on adopts.
    - Each user is allowed to own as many Neravontii as desired.
    - MYOs will only be available to artists at the time.
    - Customs will not be open for awhile, and will not be obtainable with tickets at this time.
    - You're more than welcome to trade your Neravontii. You may trade them for other species, C$, CS pets/items, art and other things within the species. For the time selling a Neravontii of V4, for cash or currency outside CS is forbidden.
    - I own Tephlans every sub-species of Neravontii/Deravontii. The rest of Vashta and other species of Vashta, are owned by ElizaChikatta.
    -
    -

Lore:

Originated & Where To Find:
    - Neravontiis were first discovered on the planet Vashta, and that they Originated on Vashta. However, they have repopulated on other planets. Unintentionally, the Neravontii have repopulated in the wild of Earth itself. Only in small Percentages, have Ridgebacks been encountered and fairly impossible to come across any Deravontii on Earth, except for in captivity.
    - Over the years, these large beasts sometimes break free after they've transported. Over the years, some have repopulated on Earth, and grow massively. Neravontiis are very difficult to capture and harder to tame than most wild animals.
    - It's common that even a captured Neravontii may be found in the wild and in the mix of a wild herd or a loner straying and surviving off prey like deer and smaller creatures.
    - Neravontiis at the Agency's Adoption Center, were rescued, surrendered, being auctioned or captured.

Anatomy:
The neravontiis skin is like that of a persons but with a layer of extremely fine, dense hair. Neravontii have slim equine like heads but are lacking eyes as evolution deemed them unnecessary. Although the eyes aren't present neravontii have excellent "vision", and are fully aware of their surroundings thanks to heat sensors pits located just above the nostrils along with the fur like sensors in their ears. These sensors are highly sensitive and can detect shifts in the environment to help find prey and sense other predators. Neravontii are very wary of touching their sensor tufts as they don't grow back and can weld them visionless!
Neravontii have 7 airways total. The nostrils can be used, like a humans, for breathing and smell. Neravontii also have two large airways, one on each side of their chest for breathing with smaller airways just above in front of their shoulders. These holes can be closed when not in use to prevent foreign materials from entering their airways. Neravontii have two retractable k9s on their upper part of the mouth, used for hunting and defense. Because of their lacking fur, the Neravontii use the space on their head where the eyes would be located to collect and regulate heat throughout the neras body. In cold climates Neravontii could freeze to death if the space is covered for an extended period of time. Neravontii have very similar hands to people, the difference is the strength. A neravontiis hands are very powerful to allow them the easily climb trees and other structures. Their feet are similar to primates, and on the ends of their tail there are, normally, three 'fingers' that allows them to grip and hold things. Neravontii have long thin bodies for running at high speeds, which top out at around 60mph. Adult Neravontiis range can be found in a chart lower in this channel

Foals
When a baby neravontii, known as a foal, is born they are around 120 centimeters tall the biggest foal being marked at 129 centimeters. Female neravontii usually give birth to one foal but twins and triplets have also been documented. Within the first hours foals struggle to stand and are extremely wobbly, they don't fully know how their hands and feet work and can be quite comical to watch. Foals walk on the bases of their hands and feet until around 2 weeks of age. Around the 2 weeks they will begin learning how stand using the ends of their fingers after they have mastered, or think they have, they start to run and mock hunt with their parents and fellow herd members. At one month they are fully grown and can reproduce!

Eating Habits
Neravontii prey on small animals and birds. But can easily hunt in small packs to take down larger animals such as dogs, housecats, deer, and even horses and other livestock. When food is really running low they have also been seen eating insects and vegetation, and wont hesitate attacking people nearby. Vegetation such as moss, leaves and branch limbs are foraged for regularly and sick Neravontii are noted to be seen eating large amounts of moss to help easy a hurting belly.

Vocalization
Neravontii have a wide range of vocalizations that they like to use. The most popular being the death curdling screams to signify that they are around, this is similar to a higher pitched horse neigh or a human child. An agitated Neravontii can show their displeasure by slow, deep grumbling growling noise with the occasionally distress snort. Out in the wild its been observed that Neravontii signal to others that they are near by fast loud whooping noises, that would be similar to the noise of a zebra. They also do this while on hunts to tactically take down a large prey animal.

Habitat
Neravontii have been found in all types of climates. From hot climates to cold climates they do well in almost any, although certain types don't far well in certain climates. For example racing type neravontii have a harder time in colder climates because of there thin frame. Although racing type neravontii can survive in colder climates with help from people you wont find wild race types where it snows.

Exploration Thread - MYO

Hɪsᴛᴏʀʏ
The painted skojare are hugely abundant on the world they come from, with independent colonies whose history and generations stretches back for ages. The colonies have their own telltale, characteristic traits of crown type and coloration, but despite lineage they all share a bright, hereditary marking known as paint. For the most part the colonies have stuck to their own, highly territorial and distrustful of one another. But as population grows, new territories must be sought out and in turn tensions have risen high enough to cause groups to begin splitting from their birth colonies to start anew.

Their homeworld is teeming with volatile magic, every living thing nearly breathes it. It makes parts of their world as dangerous as it is extraordinary. Over time they've adapted to the danger, and many skojare are courageous in the face of new threats and discoveries.

Pᴀɪɴᴛ
Painted Skojare have a bright marking called paint that is genetically passed down to their kits. It is commonly shades of one or two colors, and kits share a mix of their parent's placement. Their crown is either a natural color or the colors of their paint.

welcome! the skojare are a jackalope species I've had planned for quite a while. I posted their first concept back in 2018! currently I'm planning for them to be quick and easy to get through free raffles and c$/pet trades. once a few a made I'll most likely open a basic myo to anyone who's tried for one. their paint markings are meant to be sort of a lineage tell, and not really taking up more than a fourth or maybe even third of their body. the paint will always be an unnatural color and any sort of design. each adopt/myo will come from a birth colony and be based off that general look. so a java would have a dark coat, which can be any color as long as it's mainly darker or muted tones. prongs will be any shade of browns, reds, chestnuts, etc.

so far I have four base antlers for each colony, except for pachy those will likely be rarer maybe with custom antlers each?

I'd like to have some sort of easy to play/win game for these guys. maybe an exploration thread where your skojare is leaving their birth colony for the first time and exploring their world. a quick sentence for something they encounter that can maybe connect to your next exploration. all you'll need to do is post is the skojare you're taking and maybe copy the previous encounter. could add an option to add art/story for a higher token drop? some sort of tokens can be given out and then later exchanged for an edited myo or chances for a surprise skojare? kind of rambling, if you're interested or have more ideas let me know what you think! I'm excited for these.

also each adopt will have the name, birth colony, and paint listed. sizes will be up to the owner, I figure they can go anywhere from pygmy to larger than a flemish giant. I'm not sure if we should just have unlimited breeding slots or a specific number. maybe link the kits to their parent's adoption pages to keep count?

their name come from their original idea of being tricksters, of being able to mimic regular rabbits to hide amongst a world not their own!

Hope it’s ok to mark - this is such a neat idea. I remember seeing it previously when you first made it! I’m so glad they’re becoming real!

      these lines!
Jellybugs are unique creatures that received their
name from their unique goo-filled horns and paw-
pads. Known to make their homes inside of old
mushrooms, Jellybugs are creatures of the forest.
They are herbivores, living off of leaves and any
other plants that grow in the region they reside
in. Although Jellybugs are usually gentle-souls, a
few of them can be quite angry if provoked.

Each Jellybug has their own unique look to them.
From extra-goop to feathered wings, you will
almost never find two Jellybugs that look exactly
      the same.

----------Adoption---------------

Any open adopts will have a background attached to them and can be found under the "Adopts" cover. For the time-being, all adopts are free, excluding customs and breedings, which usually use Chicken Dollars for currency. Adopts will always have some sort of form attached. Fill out the form and post it below the Galingale you wish to adopt. Each artist will have their own competitions, raffles and end dates. You may only win one Galingale every 24 hours, good luck!

Image

----------------------Rescue----------------------

The Rescue is specifically on Discord. If you wish the
re-home, sell, or surrender any of your Galingale
Striders, you may do so on the "Rescue" panel on
Discord.
----------------------Breeding----------------------

Galingales can breed between 3-12 times and are
capable of having 1-3 babies at a time. There's a 80%
chance for 1 foal, 15% chance for twins and a 5%
chance for triplets.

All Galingale Striders have 3 slots when adopted. In
order to get more breeding slots you have to train
them. Simply fill out the prompts from one of the
3 different tiers and post it to your Galingales Adoption
Page. You must Contact a Breeding Artist, Mod or
Owner to get it approved when you finish it.

----------About Galingale Striders----------
There are a few different breeds of Striders that have been mentioned within history. Some went extinct many years ago due to environmental changes, others from the involvement of man. We have been fortunate enough to save the Feathered Striders but everything we know about the other breed's has been limited to legends, paintings and scrolls. We hope some day we can learn more about each breed and what they can offer. Down below is the information we do have on them now.

So far what we have seen is some traits and mutations do carry between all breeds but others are only specific to that particular breed. Coat rarities seem to be the same across the entire species and their anatomy and sizes differ vastly.

------Mutations------

----------About Feathered Galingale Striders----------
The feathered galingale striders are considered to be the royalty of equines. With their slender bodies, bright colors and draped feathers, the galingales are a curiosity around the world. In the past, there are recounts of these flashy equines being worshipped, or kept as pets and beloved companions. Because of their beauty, they were poached for their horns and feathers, with the claim that they had special healing properties and were also used to decorate garments. Because of this mistreatment, these unique creatures became critically endangered. In efforts to save them, the remaining galingales were captured, bred in captivity, and then released into protected areas. The population rebounded, and now wild herds can be seen of up to 25 individuals roaming across their territory.
They are omnivores, with both herbivore and carnivore traits, and also have high intelligence. Because of their small stature and thin, dear-like legs, they are not strong enough to be ridden. They are capable of driving sleds and carriages in teams of 2-6 and are often dressed in costumes and garments. Their feathers have a variety of uses, ranging from camouflage to mating rituals. The galingales are well known for being both affectionate and playful, especially in mares- though they can become over-protective with their foals. With their rebounded numbers, population control has taken effect, and small groups of galingales are rounded up or rescued from old owners and put up for adoption. Will you be the one to take one home today...?

----------About Skeletal Galingale Striders----------
Skeletal galingale striders used to only be known by the word of the superstitious. Tales of creatures sent from the underworld roamed the marshes and dark mountains, taking the lives of those who foolishly entered. The legends said the creatures would wait in the thick fog, screaming, pretending to be trapped in the mud. By the time their victim was close enough to see the hairless animal, with it's bones blocking the light from beneath it's skin, it was too late. Snatched away, the strider would drag them into the bog burring them alive in the thick mud only to return when hunger pained it's stomach.
It is believed their appearance struck fear in those from long ago as they believed seeing one was a bad omen and death was upon the people. This lead a mass hunt to eradicate the entire species, to be sure of humanity's survival. After thousands of years of only paintings and stories to tell us about this mysterious sub-species, we now know these creatures do exist and are not malicious as the stories say.
These strider's are the tallest out of all the sub-species and have transparent skin which reveals their bones. They have no fur, instead they have a fine layer of peach fuzz that makes their skin soft to the touch. They have developed this way due to the lack of sunlight in their environment. The dark mountains only receive the light from the moon reflecting off the rocks and the marshes are so thick with tree's and fog, fireflies can barely be seen. These striders often take refuge deep within caves inside the mountains and do not crave the flesh of man. They much prefer glowing grubs, mosses, and carrion. Though they are not necessarily aggressive, they are very wary of people and if threatened will fight to the death. They are not a tame species and very difficult to find but those who have managed to bond with them have a very loyal companion.
We hope with time more of these species will reveal themselves but they have only been seen around the time of Halloween. Best of luck to you all who wish to train one of these marvelous creatures.

------Anatomy------

♢ -- xxxxx What are anemoi?
Like the untamed winds they embody, anemoi are creatures that exemplify freedom; natural sea farers and adept explorers who thrive where the sky and water meet. They can be found in regions all over the map, from the warmest reaches of the tropics in the south, to the cold, and unforgiving edges of the north. Be it for fame, fortune, exploration, or beyond, wherever the wind takes them, all anemoi have an innate reason for traversing the sea; to earn their wings and join the winds in flight.

    ♢ -- xxxxx General Biology
    ○ -- Anemoi are born wingless, though it is foretold that anemoi are bestowed with their wings upon fulfilling an extraordinary act. Not all are so fortunate to receive such a gift in their lifetime, though many try.
    ○ -- Anemoi are facultative bipeds, meaning while they commonly walk and run on all fours comfortably, they are also capable of standing on two legs in certain circumstances, such as carrying objects, communication, and various other tactile uses.
    ○ -- Omnivores, anemoi’s primary food source comes from fruit, nuts, fish and small mammals.
    ○ -- They breed in pairs and have offspring of up to 2 nestlings
    ○ -- Anemoi can also imbue their likeness into unclaimed eggs they take in as their own.
    ○ -- Anemoi have 4 known variations adapted for the 4 major regions of the map.
    ○ -- Variations can crossbreed, though their offspring will take on the variation base of one parent, however, they may possess unique colorations or traits attributed to both.

    ⊱──────────────────────────────────────⊰ ⊱──────────────────────────────────────⊰

♢ -- xxxxx How do I obtain one?
xxxxx You can obtain an anemoi through a variety of methods, including adopts, nurseries, customs, expeditions, and eggs.
    ○ -- Adopts will be posted below this thread and can be won via raffles, alongside writing and art competitions which will determine ownership.
    ○ -- Nurseries are posted below this thread and can be used when an artists opens their slots. you can obtain offspring from a single or a pair of existing anemoi, alongside eggs, but can also be used by non-owners to obtain a new anemoi.
    ○ -- Customs opportunities will be posted below this thread from official staff artists, they might be free or otherwise require a payment method of the artists choosing.
    ○ -- Expeditions these require preexisting anemoi to participate in, however, in rare occasions may result in finding an anemoi or egg.
    ○ -- Eggs are essentially the equivalent of a ticket, they can be obtained by runners-up of art and writing competitions or found during expeditions, and turned into nurseries for semi-customs. single eggs may have a pre-established variation when hatched, may be randomized, or otherwise their variation may be determined by the owner of the egg depending on the type of egg obtained.
    ○ -- Gifts & Trading these require approval from staff/the designer of the anemoi in question, alongside both parties participating in the trade.

    ♢ -- xxxxx Rules & Guidelines

xxxxx ○ -- Chicken smoothie terms of service must be followed at all times.
xxxxx ○ -- Remain kind and respectful, if you have a complaint or a concern, it should be handled responsibly through discussions with staff, not call out posts, arguments, or harassment on community forms.
xxxxx ○ -- Anemoi are a closed species, thus, at this time only official staff can create these creatures. Designs may not be taken out of this species without permission.
xxxxx ○ -- I have faith in your ability to create your own original works. Absolutely no AI generated images or text are to be used when entering for prompted raffles, contests, etc. Being caught using AI will be considered a form of cheating and result in a strike, repeated offenders may result in a ban.
xxxxx ○ -- No signatures are to be removed from the adopts, be sure to credit the designer for their work if taken offsite.
xxxxx ○ -- Though anemoi have their own pre-established world that will continue to expand, this should not limit your creativity in developing your anemoi in whatever way you wish.
xxxxx ○ -- You may not sell your anemoi for any form of currency, but you may trade and regift them with permission from staff.

Neet neet!
Welcome to the wonderful world of the neet.
The amazing thing is about this beast is that you entirely get to decide exactly... what they are.

What?
Neets are not an "open" species- but they're also not a "closed" species.
They are closed insofar as, if you want to do anything in Neet Fleet activities, they need to be official from this center.
They are open insofar as I don't particularly see them as the shining, most unique thing ever.
Standard neets are more or less your generic noodle- or worm- beast with legs or sometimes... lacking of leg.

I have been designing neets and selling, gifting and trading them to others for a bit now.
I just think they're... neat. ;)

The intention behind this is that afterwards you can decide in your own story what they are!
-- Give them a new species name if you want! Or just call them neets!
-- Give them species traits and lore and scientific classifications.
-- Whatever you dreamed of or didn't dream of! World is oyster ect ect.

clouds-move-on wrote:
0Zero0 wrote:Question, are we allowed to make our own neets that aren't apart of this particular group or considered 'official neets'?

I would prefer the name [neets] not be associated with "unofficial" neets.
All the traits of neets are pretty generic imo personally.
I've seen plenty of characters that looked similiar before I "invented" them, which is why I didn't say they were a closed or open species.

What is the name?
Glad you asked.
"Neet" is technically a play off "Nito" - which is the name I use when using these creatures in my own personal world building.
I began to call the ones I gave to other people "neets" to sort of differentiate from the "official" ones in my world [which have more restrictions and specific lore] against the ones I just throw around at people for kicks and currency [which have less restrictions and no official lore].

I do ask people don't use the term "nito" in their own lore. <3
"Neet" is the term that will be officially used in-group!

Game Currency
Neets will have a currency called "biscuits".
Biscuits and a use for them will be added if enough interest is maintained in neets to justify making a system.

Group & Ownership Rules
General
- You can adopt as many as you want.
- Please be courteous to all other players.
- Please keep forms CS appropriate.

- You can make up your own lore for how they behave.
- Please keep character stories CS appropriate.

When using outside the group...
- You can edit them/revamp them as much as you want in non-group artwork.
- You more or less have complete freedom with the character, as you would a "normal" OC!
- When using outside the group, please consult the designer's personal TOS for info on if commercial use is allowed, ect.
--- For me [clouds-move-on], I always allow the owner do whatever they want with the new design, including commercial use.
--- Just don't use the original artwork I drew commercially.

Staff Information
Neets just has me and guest artists.
I don't currently plan to have permanent staff.

Full disclosure I can and will allow my friends terms on and off with or without trying out for guest artist. This won't take away from other people getting a guest artist position, as long as the center is open I'll always have the guest artist tryouts open.

As the owner I can also color these lines to make them for myself or my friends whenever I want.

Guest Artist Rules
- To tryout for guest artist, please go to the Guest Artist Tryouts.
- Guest artists will have their position for the calendar month they are accepted.
- Guest artists can sell neets, but won't earn biscuits or the MYO slot for those specific ones.
--- You can sell for irl currency, c$s, cs pets, art, characters, neet stuff... basically anything.
--- Guest artists get 1 biscuit per free adopt.
--- Guest artists get 1 unedited MYO once they have completed at least 3 free neets in their term.

Breed History wrote:The origins of the Highland Pointer can be traced back to Norway in the early 1930s as local hunters started to develop a breed dedicated to winter-based prey. This started with selective breeding between the English Setter and Finnish Spitz. The breed itself, however, wasn't standardized until the mid 1950s with the final introduction of the Karelian Bear Dog, putting the breed on to the road for what it is today.

This versatile breed combines loyalty, tracking, and pointing skills alongside a confident personality that's built to traverse through harsh winters. Their keen sense of smell allows them to locate prey even under feet of snow. This breed aimed to stabilize the traits of the three original genetics, making for a healthier, more sociable, and more adaptable breed overall.

This breed will serve well for any family looking for a loyal and protective companion. With high intelligence and drive, they do best when being presented with a job. Years of dedication to the breed standard, however, has shown that this breed truly shines in whatever environment trainers, owners, and families alike put them in.

General Rules
..... »All CS rules must be followed
..... »Your CS account must be at least 1 month old to participate.
..... »There's no limit to how many pointers you can own!
..... »You must have a storage location for your pointers. On-site is preferred but off-site is allowed as long as it links back to here and is something staff can view as needed.
..... »Be kind to each other and staff!
..... »While you're welcome to develop your pointer's character in any way you'd like, please don't try to claim the breed concept as your own!
..... »You're welcome to imagine your pointer's other markings (the ones not visible) however you'd like, but this won't impact their genetics or potential appearance of their pups in any way.
..... »No AI generated content is allowed in any way.

Trading Rules
..... »You must own a pointer for at least a week before trading it (gifting is the exception!)
..... »Pointers may be traded for other UMAs and Oekaki adopts as long as those species also allow cross trading.
..... »Ownership changes must be logged in the updates thread and on the main post for the dog involved.
..... »The other party must confirm the ownership change. We prefer this to be done on the dog's page. If confirmation isn't given within 14 days, ownership may be reverted.

*It's important to note that any current limitations regarding breedings per month, training classes per month, and dogs entered per competition may be subject to change depending on demand, staffing capabilities, and more. If any changes occur updates will be posted accordingly. No retroactive additivies will be handed out should limitations increase or decrease.

╔. ■ .═══════╗
𝔽𝔸ℚ
╚═══════. ■ .╝

What are "perks" and how do I get them for my dog?
..... »Perks can be seen as a combination of a dog's innate instincts and trained skills! Perks can be gained through parentage, training classes, and titles earned in the competition program. The only thing they influence is how your dog performs in competitions. While a dog can't lose a perk, not all perks pass on to pups (the ones that do will be noted as such!).

How does breeding work for Highland Pointers?
..... »As long as a Pointer doesn't have deafness or blindness, any Pointer has 5 breeding slots by default. They can breed with any other Pointer, regardless of genders, as long as they're not litter mates or parent/child.

Will new genetics ever be added?
..... »That's always a possibility!

Where do we store our pointers/what is a kennel thread?
..... »If you haven't seen them before, here on CS there is a forum dedicated to character storage! Some people make threads just for one species while others make a giant thread that contains all of their adopts. Either of these is acceptable! Off-site storage is okay, too, as long as it links back to this thread and can be viewed by people who don't have an account for the site you're using.

Why are some coat/body types possible yet ineligible for conformation?
..... »This is something that's true to real life! Basically certain inbreeding and recessive genes can lead to genes outside of the breed standard. Sometimes this occurs because another dog breed is sneakily introduced into the line, or because of mutations and other things (like breeding two merles together!). Having a "breed standard" is generally meant to promote healthy breeding practices, so we're taking this life-like model and applying it here!

Why are the average heights/weights of the pointers on the main page but not the adopts? Is that info important?
..... »So it's more for visual reasons, just to give you an idea of what your dog may look like! In English Setters (and other pointer breeds) its very common for the males to have a larger "standard" size than the females! But, I don't want to dictate or influence how people define their dogs. We will never produce dogs outside of the size standard for the breed, so I just wanted to include it for funs. If you want to pick a height/weight for your dog within breed standards for your own canon, you're welcome to!

How do you get a transparent image of your pointer?
..... »Once a dog is adopted, the background image is removed, making them available as a png! In order to do this, open the image in a new tab (just image not post!) In the URL find the part that says "&format=auto" change the auto to png and refresh the page. You should now be able to save them as a transparent image!

* setup whelping box (just need to sort out logistics/write up information)

Welcome to the founding kennel of the Luosto Lapphund. Also known as the Luo or Luohund, this newly established breed is the result of mixing the Shiba Inu, Finnish Lapphund, Chinook and the Yakutian Laika. While they ended up physically looking much more like a rounder Shiba, they sometimes have one or two floppy ears and a straight tail. Pointed ears are most common, as they are dominant over Flopped ears. Complete with soulful, almond-shaped eyes, a large button nose, and either long or short fur, each Luo is unique in their own ways!

    ORIGINS
A combination of the Shiba Inu, Finnish Lapphund, Chinook and the Yakutian Laika, this breed was founded in the beautiful destination of Luosto, Finnland. Hence their beginnings in such a cold wintry place, the Luohund has a coat well-versed for cold weather and various harsh elements

    HEIGHT & WEIGHT
Varies, however the most common ranges are below
    15-35 pounds
    14-25 inches tall

    TEMPERAMENT
With a huge range of personalities that range from aloof and stubborn to outgoing and eager to please, each Luohund is unique in the way they react to the world around them. Some may be shy and skittish around other humans or other dogs, while others bask in any kind of attention they receive. While their personalities may differ greatly, most Luos are dedicated and loyal to their owners

    GENERAL CARE
Your Luo doesn't require substantial grooming, but they do shed seasonally when it gets warmer out. This breed has boundless energy and can be a bit destructive if not cared for or trained properly. Thankfully, they tend to be easy to train unless you end up with one a little more on the stubborn side! They are happy to be inside with their owners for short periods of time, but they also immensely enjoy getting out and burning off all that extra energy

Semi-realistic genetics are being used to determine the base coat color, coat dilution, coat length, tail length, and markings of all Luohunds.

      ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

    BASE COATS
Black (KK) | black base coat
Chocolate (Kk) | brown base coat
Red (kk) | red base coat

    • Black base coats can range in color from charcoal gray to black
    • Chocolate base coats can range in color from tan to dark brown
    • Red base coats can range in color from orange to dark red brown

      ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

    COAT DILUTION
Non-dilute (DD, Dd) | base coat is not affected and remains Black, Chocolate, or Red
Dilute (dd) | base coat is affected and is altered to be a lighter shade

    • Black becomes Blue. Blue base coats can range in color from blue-silver to blue-gray
    • Chocolate becomes Lilac. Lilac base coats range in color from light gray-brown to dark gray-brown
    • Red becomes Cream. Cream base coats range in color from cream to pale orange.

      ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

    EARS
Pointed Ears (EE) | both ears are pointed
Half and Half (Ee) | one ear is pointed, one ear is flopped
Flopped Ears (ee) | both ears are flopped

    COAT LENGTH
Long Fur (LL, Ll) | fur is long
Short Fur (ll) | fur is short

    TAIL SHAPE
Curled Tail (SS, Ss) | tail is curled over the rump
Straight Tail (ss) | tail is straight and not curled

      ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

    AGOUTI
Agouti (AA, Aat, Aas) | adds blurred, gradually darker patches along the back of the head and ears, the back and shoulders, and along the top of the tail and the tail tip
Tan Points (atat) | adds pips above the eyes, coloration on the muzzle/cheeks, two triangular patches on the chest, and coloration on the lower legs, paws, and the bottom of the tail
Saddle (asas) | adds a large black patch on the back and shoulders
Smoke (atas) | adds both Tan Points and Saddle at the same time

    • Agouti is dominant over Brindle. If paired with Brindle, Agouti will show and Brindle will not. Even though Brindle may not show in the coat, it can still be passed on during breeding
    • Tan Points appear red on Black/Chocolate base coats, cream on Blue/Lilac/Red base coats, and an even paler cream on Cream base coats
    • If paired with Brindle, the Tan Points will appear over the Brindle stripes and not have the stripes in them
    • Saddle can "retreat" meaning the black patch covers less of the back and shoulders as a Luohund ages

      ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

    BRINDLE
No Brindle (BB, Bb) | no brindle
Brindle (bb) | adds a distinct striped pattern

    • Brindle does not appear on the Black base coat or any black markings. Even though Brindle may not show in the coat, it can still be passed on during breeding
    • Chocolate, Red, and Cream Brindles have black striping. Blue Brindles have darker blue-gray striping. Lilac Brindles have darker gray-brown striping
    • Agouti is dominant over Brindle. If paired with Agouti, Agouti will show and Brindle will not. Even though Brindle may not show in the coat, it can still be passed on during breeding
    • If paired with Tan Points, the Tan Points will appear over the Brindle stripes and not have the stripes in them
    • When paired with Countershading, the Countershading causes the striping pattern of Brindle to lighten wherever it covers the Countershading marking. So any striping on the face, chest, stomach, undersides of the legs, and along the bottom part of the tail will look lighter

    MERLE
No Merle (mn) | no merle
Merle (MM, mm) | standard to minimal amount of merle
Cryptic Merle (MC, mc) | merle that is “hidden”
Atypical Merle (MA, ma) | merle expressing as tweed or patchwork

    COUNTERSHADING
Shaded (CC, Cc) | adds a light coloration on the face, chest, stomach, undersides of the legs, paws, and along the bottom part of the tail
Not Shaded (cc) | no Countershading

    • AKA Urajiro, Countershading appears as a lighter shade of the base coat. For examples, Countershading on Black would appear gray while Countershading on Lilac would appear as a lighter gray-brown
    • When paired with Countershading, the Countershading causes the striping pattern of Brindle to lighten wherever it covers the Countershading marking. So any striping on the face, chest, stomach, undersides of the legs, and along the bottom part of the tail will look lighter

    MASK
No Mask (MA) | no mask
Light Mask (Ma) | adds a black patch that colors the muzzle and face around the eyes, as well as the tips of the ears
Heavy Mask (ma) | adds a black patch that colors the muzzle, face, ears, and down the chest, as well as black patches on the toes and the tip of the tail

    • Light Mask can also add black pips on the eyebrows
    • Mask covers (appears on top of) all other markings except White Spotting

    TICKING
No Ticking (tt) | no ticking
Heavy Ticking (TT) | adds a heavy amount of flecks or spots of color on white areas
Light Ticking (Tt) | adds a light amount of flecks or spots of color on white areas

    • Ticking only appears on a coat if White Spotting is inherited (Ww or ww). If Ticking is inherited but White Spotting is not, Ticking can still be passed on during breeding. It will not show on any Residual White markings, as these markings only appear if White Spotting is not inherited
    • The color of the spots added by Ticking should match whatever color is beneath the white. So if the base coat is Black and there are no other markings, then the spots would be black. If there are Tan Points covered by White Spotting, the spots in those areas would be red, cream, or pale cream depending on the color of the Tan Points. If there is Brindle covered by White Spotting, the spots in those areas will be striped
    • Ticking does not show on young Luohunds, but will appear as they age

      ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

    WHITE SPOTTING
No White (WW) | no white spotting
Mantle (Ww) | adds white patches on the muzzle, neck, chest, legs, and tip of the tail
Piebald (ww) | adds larger white patches on the body, leaving behind smaller patches of color

    • The white patches cover (appear on top of) all other markings or patterns
    • Mantle can also make the entire neck white and/or add a blaze of white on the face. This marking is also known as Irish spotting
    • Piebald can cover up to 80% of a Luohund with white. The face, ears, and tail are typically the last areas with color as the white "spreads" over the dog

    Residual White
Residual White has no genes acquainted with it and thus can be seen on any dog that has no White Spotting (WW). It adds small amounts of white to the face, muzzle, chest, toes, and tip of the tail

    Somatic Mutation
Somatic mutation, rare and elusive, has no genes acquainted with it and thus can be seen on any dog. It adds irregular patches of any color that overlap other markings

    Vitiligo
Vitiligo has no genes acquainted with it and thus can be seen on any dog. It adds various sizes of white spots, particularly seen around the eyes, mouth, snout, and general facial area

    Snowflake Spots
Snowflake Spots has no genes acquainted with it and thus can be seen on any dog, even ones with White Spotting. It adds spots of white across the coat. The spots should always be small and sparse

      ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

    EYES & NOSE COLORS
The eyes range in color depending on the base coat color.
Blue eyes are only possible if there is enough white on the face.
Heterochromia iridum (2 different eye colors) is also possible,
which also occurs only if there is enough white on the face

    • Black Base coat = Brown/Dark Brown eyes
    • Chocolate Base coat = Light to Dark Brown eyes
    • Red Base coat = Brown/Dark Brown eyes
    • Blue Base coat = Light Brown, Yellow, Gray eyes
    • Lilac Base coat = Light Brown, Yellow, Gray eyes
    • Cream Base coat = Light Brown, Yellow, Gray eyes

The noses range in color depending on the base coat color.
If there is high amount of White Spotting around the nose,
it can be fully pink or mottled with pink and the original color.
For example, a mottled nose can be a mix of black and pink,
brown and pink, or gray and pink depending on the base coat

    • Black Base coat = Black nose
    • Chocolate Base coat = Deep Brown to Dark Pink nose
    • Red Base coat = Black nose
    • Blue Base coat = Blue-Gray nose
    • Lilac Base coat = Purple-Tinted Pink nose
    • Cream Base coat = Black nose

    CLAWS & PAW PAD COLORS
The claws range in color depending on the base coat color.
If there is enough white on the paws, the claws can be Beige.
Not all of the claws on the same paw have to be the same color.

    • Black Base coat = Black claws
    • Chocolate Base coat = Black claws
    • Red Base coat = Black claws
    • Blue Base coat = Gray claws
    • Lilac Base coat = Light Gray claws
    • Cream Base coat = Beige claws

The paw pads range in color depending on the base coat color
If there is enough white on the paws, pads can change to pink
Paw pads can also be mottled with pink and the original color.
For example, a mottled pad can be a mix of black and pink,
brown and pink, or dark cream and pink depending on the base coat

    • Black Base coat = Black paw pads
    • Chocolate Base coat = Deep Brown to Black paw pads
    • Red Base coat = Black paw pads
    • Blue Base coat = Blue-Gray to Black paw pads
    • Lilac Base coat = Light Brown paw pads
    • Cream Base coat = Dark Cream paw pads

    📌 General Rules

    1️⃣ Respect & Community Etiquette

      - Be kind and respectful to all members. Harassment, bullying, or excessive negativity will not be tolerated.

      - Keep discussions civil and on-topic. If conflicts arise, handle them privately or contact a moderator.

      - No drama-baiting, blacklisting, or public callouts—if you have an issue, reach out to a CSKC moderator.

      - CSKC is an inclusive community. We welcome players of all skill levels, backgrounds, and playstyles.

    2️⃣ Creating a Kennel

      - Your kennel can be any theme or breed focus—working dogs, conformation, sports, or mixed kennels are all welcome!

      - Kennel names should be unique to avoid confusion. Do a quick search before claiming a name.

      - You may own multiple kennels

      - A kennel prefix/suffix (e.g., CSKC’s Rising Sun or Rising Sun of CSKC) helps identify your dogs but is not required.

    3️⃣ Dog Creation & Ownership

      - Dogs in CSKC exist through artwork and written profiles.

      - Players can adopt, breed, or design their own dogs, but you cannot claim another user’s dog as your own.

      - If a dog is purchased or transferred, ownership changes must be recorded (refer to section in co-op archive form).

      - Custom breeds are allowed, but they must be approved before entering CSKC shows.

      - Fictional colors or unrealistic designs may not be eligible for conformation shows.

    4️⃣ Show Participation

      - CSKC hosts various conformation, working, and sporting events. Read each show’s rules before entering.

      - Dogs must be properly registered in CSKC to compete in official events.

      - Entries must meet minimum requirements (e.g., correct formatting, required information).

      - Show results may be determined by effort-based judging, RNG, or rubric scoring depending on the event.

      - Cheating, forging show results, or misrepresenting a dog’s achievements will result in disqualification.

5️⃣ Show Etiquette & Fair Play

      - All participants should respect the judges’ decisions—judging is final.

      - No bribing, manipulating results, or trying to pressure judges for wins.

      - If a show is delayed, please be patient—judging takes time, and real life comes first.

    6️⃣ Breeding Rules

      - Dogs must be of appropriate age before being bred (minimum age varies by breed & event).

      - Inbreeding (close relatives) is not allowed.

      - Studs and broods can be offered to other kennels, but owners set the terms.

      - Litter sizes are typically determined by RNG or predetermined methods (e.g., 1-6 puppies per litter).
Litter sizes can be decided by the owner OR rolled by a member of staff for a more fun, randomized experience!

      - CSKC encourages ethical breeding—do not mass-produce puppies for sales.

    7️⃣ Puppy Sales & Transfers

      - Puppies and dogs may be gifted, traded, or sold with clear agreements between players.

      - Once a dog is transferred, it belongs to the new owner unless otherwise stated.

      - Breeding rights & limitations (e.g., pet-only, co-ownership) must be outlined before sale.

      - No scamming, selling someone else’s dog, or breaking agreed terms—doing so may lead to a ban.

8️⃣ No Plagiarism or Art Theft

      - Do not steal, trace, or heavily reference another artist’s work without permission.

      - Any art used for CSKC dogs must be credited to the correct owner/creator.

      - Using AI-generated art is not permitted in CSKC.

9️⃣ No Real-Life Dog Sales or Promotion

      - CSKC is a fictional kennel club for virtual dogs only.

      - Real-world dog sales, breeding, or rehoming ads are strictly forbidden.

🔟 No Dog Fighting or Harmful Content

      - CSKC does not support, condone, or allow dog fighting, abuse, or any violent portrayals of animals.

      - Dogs may participate in fictional working or hunting disciplines but must be ethically portrayed.

    🔹 11. Activity & Inactivity

      - You do not need to be active all the time, but if running events or breeding programs, keep participants updated.

    🔹 12. Rule Updates & Club Decisions

      - Rules are subject to change to improve fairness and clarity.

      - CSKC moderators reserve the right to adjust, add, or clarify rules as needed.

      - If you have questions or suggestions, reach out to a CSKC moderator or admin.

[ marumi ★ marumis ★ marus ]

welcome to marumis!

marumis are small, fluffy little dragons with very large ears, large tails, and long weasel-like bodies. marumis are similar to a mix of serpentine wyrm-like dragons and fluffy puppies or kittens! marumis don’t have set lore, but even if this changes in the future you are free to ignore them and make your own 🩵

all marumis must retain at least one or both of these traits: large ears and/or large tail
your marumi can have little ears and an extravagantly long tail or have a small tail and big whimsical ears.
marumis cannot have little ears and a little tail. marumis must maintain their whimsy :,3

quick anatomical rundown that all marumis, including custom lined adopts & myos, must follow:
marumis cannot have short bodies. they must have longer weasel like bodies, legs that are fairly shorter in proportion to this long body, and preferably both large ears and a large tail - but as stated above the last two can be tweaked.

there will be no exception to the marumi having long bodies & either large ears or a large tail (or both)

Image
marumi trait list (wip)

nr: tongue edits, sclera edits, pupil edits, wip

common: fur edits (longer fur, short fur, furless), scales, tail edits, ear edits, hair, 1-2 small horns, spines, plates, small flame/ice/water powers, dragon whiskers, fangs

uncommon: 1 set of small wings, 1-2 large horns, multiple sets of small horns, dragon claws instead of paws, plant growth, halos, glow, fins, antennae, feathers, nose edit (keeping muzzle shape), small amounts of goo/slime, large elemental powers & powers that arent flame/ice/water

rare: 1-2 sets of large wings, 2-3 sets of small wings, multiple sets of large horns, elongated bodies, additional limbs (up to 2 sets), multiple tails, feet other than paws or reptilian feet, crystal growth, reverse munchkin, large sabre-like fangs, exposed bone, extra eyes, cyclops

legendary: 4+ sets of small wings, 3+ sets of large wings, transparent/slime body part), robotic (does not include prosthetics), glitch, multiple heads

Image

notes:
if a design has a higher rarity version of a trait, it will also count as a lower rarity version of said trait for nursery rolls
eg. [l] 3+ sets of large wings automatically gives a marumi [r] 1-2 sets of large wings

differentiating between large wings and small wings: if the wings are large enough that the marumi looks capable of flight, they are considered large wings.

hair vs fur: hair is wig-like, fur is changes to the default tufts on the head

horn size: considered 'large' once they are close to the size of the diameter of the head.

you can ask in the discord anytime if you have questions about your marumi's traits!

the tibetan spitz club associations, short-termed TSCA is the source of all guidelines to this breed. these are in play
ce to avoid those mixing with other breeds from passing their dogs off as a tibetan spitz. this breed was founded in
1990 and is fairly new to the show and sporting world having just been recognized in 2007. the breed was created
through crossing tibetan mastiffs with akitas and standard american eskimo dogs. these crossings were used to per
fect a smaller yet stronger working dog that would excel in most hunting and guarding of livestock.

the combined traits that were sought from these three breeds created a social and eager to please breed that also
tended to be wary of strangers and protective. their temperament created a versatile dog that most hunters enjoy
ed using when it came to tracking down prey. these dogs were bred for any climate due to their thick double
      coats and shorter fur.

please click the TSCA link for all breed information and guidelines

UniGoats are mythical creatures that are a hybrid between unicorn and goats. Now, how does something like this happen? UniGoats were first invented in a laboratory by mixing unicorn and pygmy goat DNA together, after many unsuccessful attempts, they were finally successful. Doe UniGoats range from 16-24 inches tall and buck UniGoats range from 25-30 inches tall. Doe’s can be bred 6 times and bucks can be bred 10 times, doe's can breed 2 weeks after the kid is born, and the kids will grow in 1 week and can be breedable then. UniGoats come in any color, it can be natural goat colors, horse colors or can be mythical colors and designs. There will never be twins, unless you have a breeding item, all kids will be doe’s unless you roll a certain number range for a buck, or you can use an item to give you a better chance at a buck.

🌸Spring Dragons

SPRING DRAGONS

What Are They?
This is a little idea that's been sitting in my head for a bit, you can check out the first unofficial version of the lines here!
They aren't exactly a species (as in they do not have a defining unique trait, they're just dragons. And I do not intend
to build a long-lasting community on this). The main idea of spring dragons is that they'll be open for one month only,
in February. A new adopt will come out once a day (28 total), and will be entirely for free (raffles/small prompts/etc).

I've been wanting to do something like this for a while, just a way to give out some designs with a shared theme!
There will be no customs, shop, archive, or anything that makes up a closed species. A design is the only thing you
may win! Marking is welcome, see you February!

Rules
You may only win one Spring Dragon in the whole event, this is to give others a fairer chance.
You can do whatever you want with your design once you won it (transfer to umas/change species etc)
Please credit me in some way when uploading your Spring Dragon (either my cs account or toyhouse)

Shelter For Angels is not a closed or unique species, instead being a hub for various artists to be able to promote their designwork while also educating on genetics to the members that wish to participate! We do not include fantastical unique genetics or breeds, and instead choose to focus on being as accurate as we can without breaking our wrists.

As a non species group however, you are free to use the design outside of SFA entirely or transfer to a different group (so long as the artist is notified and their ToS allows). Please support your local artists and designers <3

As we are not a species, we do not have a singular Terms of Service or Species Rule List. Instead we promote our individual artist’s ToS and as such you must abide by their ToS with their individual designs. If you do not, you will not be allowed to participate further in this group going forward.

    1. All CS website rules apply.

    2. Individual designer ToS must be abided by. This is to be followed for selling/trading/gifting designs and changing designs especially.
!! It is highly discouraged against selling any design made with inspiration/reference to any copyrighted media, even if it is just referenced in the shelter story. !!
    3. Credit the individual designer for their designs rather than SFA itself. You can find their preferred credit/s on their ToS.

    4. All members must have accounts at least 2 months old to participate in SFA.

    5. Harassment, taunting, begging, lowballing/bartering/bargaining, and spam will not be tolerated.

    6. Do not ask about price or offer on owned or not owned designs that are not specifically up for sale/trade offers.

    7. Designs that are specifically rehomed within SFA through a re-adoption may only be hosted by SFA staff.

    8. If a designer becomes completely inactive or unreachable, CS staff may be requested to transfer post access an active SFA staff. Please let us know if this becomes the case!

    9. Change in design ownership must notify the designer/staff by posting on the design’s original page. Post should be done by the new owner if possible.

    10. All members and staff reserve the right to refuse service/interaction to anyone.
!! All rules are subject to change and will be updated at any time. The thread will be notified when a change had occured. !!

Chaotic I don't have USD to send but I could offer pets and always sell back or we can work something out if you wanted. I hope you get the USD you need though.
