Welcome to the world of Multi-Animation Projects, or MAPs! This one is a Picture Music Video, or PMV!

You may have already heard about MAPs from YouTube or even around on CS, but if not, I'm happy to explain!

In a MAP, you post reserving a part. Your part will be a segment of the completed video. This will be hosted like a MAP but we'll be using still illustrations instead of moving animations!

"Video?" you say.
Yes!
When all of the images are edited together, they will be uploaded in video format to be synced to the song! It will be just like a slideshow. It can be as simple or detailed as we like. This is all about strengthening our skills and having fun.

Just off the top of my head, I can give you some reasons why MAPs are a lot of fun.
For one, it is a way to unite with anywhere from ten to fifty other artists - you'll get to work with so many other creative and fun people on a shared project!
Secondly, it is a creative exercise, encouraging you to draw something you may have not thought to do otherwise.
And third, the end result is just amazing! c:

{Quick Rules}

1. All skill levels welcome. However, please be able to provide a character drawing if asked.

2. You can only have two parts at first. After you finish them, you can apply for more! For now the cut-off is up to four parts.

3. Please follow the script and color scheme (see below.)

♬

4. If you do not meet the deadline you will be removed from the MAP! You can of course re-enter, but this means someone else could get your part. Please ask for an extension ahead of time if you do not want this.

5. By entering your art in this, you give permission for your art to be used in the video. Once the video is made, all entrants will have the right to repost it.

If you enter and decide that you do not want your art used like this, please PM me (Solarizing) or post here ASAP!

The script is very casual, but please try your best to follow its theme!

Above is our color scheme. Depending on what part you choose, you will use some or all of these colors.

Why a color scheme? Well, if all of our drawings our somewhat similar, our video will look more put-together when it is finished. Creative flexibility is totally a thing though, so don't worry about following this perfectly!

If you get a part with all five colors: In general we're looking for a blue background, preferably starry or bright. The landscape and characters should be bright hues of red, orange, and green.

If you get a part with only a few colors: If only some of the five colors are above your part, try to make these colors the most noticeable in your drawing.

You will find the color palette on the Oekaki itself once you hit color in! c: You just need to use the eyedropper tool this way. I did it like this so hopefully it will be more convenient for users.
