So at first I just did a dog red line, but then I wasn't sure if you wanted dog or cat so I added a cat just in case.
some differences between cats and dogs;
~Cats have shorter legs than dogs.
~The snout of a dog is almost twice as long as the snout of a cat.
~Dog's ears are more forward than cat's ears.
~Cats are generally more chubby than dogs
~Cats have shorter necks than dogs.
~The length of the bone in the hind leg is much longer in dogs than in cats.
Some tips for both;
~The neck doesn't go straight up, it comes out at an angle.
~The body has a fixed area of chest that always goes down to just above the elbow, regardless of whether the animal is skinny or not.
~The tail is part of the spine and therefore the natural slope of the tail does not start going up.
~If one was to take a picture of a dog or cat, and draw horizontal lines where the feet were, there would actually be two lines, one for the feet closest to you, and one for the feet on the other side of the body. This is because the body of the animal is wide. If I want to make an animal more 3d, I like to draw a "3d" rectangle and place the cat's feet on each of the corners.
~The ears don't come directly out of the top of the head.
~cats and dogs are not extremely fluffy where the ears and elbows are, I would suggest adding fluff around the chest and tail instead.
~I always try to draw the bones and circles before I make the lines. It helps me to correct anatomy.
(sorry I can't be of any help with the paws, I can't do paws)
