decided to try this week's challenge (even though im supposed to be working on an art trade) because i havent drawn in awhile, so this is my fursona Alona

her name came from my favorite book as a kid, purposely meant to sound like "a loner" (a lona')
she is very timid and insecure (hence the facial expression)
she likes sleeping, water/nature, being in small groups, etc.

i tried the new larger canvas out, i like that theres more room but its harder to use in my opinion
sorry this is kinda disproportional and weird, im kinda rusty.

i always loved alona omg she was always just at the edge of the woods helping everyone out but not fighting or getting involved and she was insecure and submissive and she was so great and relatable. thats why my DA name is LadyAlona bc they always referred to her as "lady alona" in the book and it was always so elegant sounding
once i figured out what my fursonas personality was i knew that i was gonna name her Alona because i always loved the name, my name starts with an A, and the fact that it was meant to be "a loner" sealed the deal

hahah yes i dont know anyone else who read the series besides my friend who showed it to me!

i actually emailed the author a couple times back in like 5th grade or whenever i read the books. one time i asked what breed Alona was because i was interested and he just said she was a mutt, but this is what shes supposed to look like apparently:
