Welcome to the Official Oekaki Challenge board!
We set a challenge and it's up to you to draw your response! This is just for fun. All skill levels are welcome here, from beginners to advanced (and beyond!) :)

After every challenge we will award one entrant with past store pets so you don't want to miss out!

Challenge #112: CS Pets visit the Medieval Faire! Draw your fav CS Pets checking out the stalls and games of the faire or exploring the surroundings!

This Challenge will run until September 30th!

Submit your ideas here, and we just might use them!

It's hard to keep coming up with new themes every week, but we know our members have great ideas! :)

A good challenge is something that will be popular with a lot of different people, so everyone will want to join in. Avoid themes which have too small of an audience (like a particular movie/tv show). We want to push people to draw something they don't usually draw, so try to 'think outside the box'!


Please note:
Since different members might end up suggesting the same ideas, we will not be able to credit the author of each idea. So please only share your idea if you're happy to see it used without credit to you.

Glossary of words we often use in challenges:

OC/Original Character - an original/unique design for a human or animal (or imaginary species) that you came up with yourself, or which someone else drew for you to use.

fursona - an animal character that you use to represent yourself. It might look kind of like you, or it might look like your personality turned into physical features (e.g. if you're an energetic person your fursona might be brightly colored)

persona - a human character that you use to represent yourself. It might look kind of like you in real life, or it might look like the kind of person you feel like on the inside - will it be dark and gloomy, or bright and bubbly? That's up to you!

Note: If the challenge asks you to use a fursona/persona/OC and you don't have one, you can use a CS pet instead!

Somehow I kept thinking of monty python so... here we go with a small story of the Chicken Smoothie's summer event pets in the roles of the Holy grail film's characters.

I actually wanted to involve more pets with the castle scene too, for the line "your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberry!" but the canvas isn't long enough to put in another bigger panel and squeezing it in wouldn't look nice, so I left it out...
I'm really glad you like the comic style, I was going for a less detailed and blurry background, so that the characters or the main object of interest (the bridge) would stand out a bit better. I kinda also wanted to do more fancy panel dividers, but that would take the focus away from the scenes, so I left it simple, but a bit "stylish" XD

I loved this Medieval Event so much, I decided to try my hand at using the Oekaki! I especially loved the jousting horses! :)

I am a traditional watercolor artist, so this was so much different for me. I learned a lot and had a wonderful time drawing!! It is much easier for me to paint on paper than to draw on my phone xD

(Also I drew this partially at work, so the timer is likely inaccurate)

My first pet from joining last November, Topak, meeting the bar worm, Monarch!

This is my first time using the Oekaki board before and it went pretty alright. Had to put my browser into desktop mode to draw this on my tablet but that was the only hiccup.

Hello! This is my first time posting to Oekaki! The ChickenPaint software isn't something I'm used too, but I think it turned out nice! I really really really loved this event, and I wanted to make some fanart for it becuase I had such fun. I drew the RRG Event's unlucky dog knight they gave out, who I named Benny, and some of the fairy butterfly wolf minis in the event. They are just hanging out at the tavern during the event right now. : )

eyespot mimicry is so cool, the first thing i thought of when i saw this dragon was how dang scary it'd be to see those huge shimmery eyes staring at you from the dark
