Death Knolls

Story:
Death knolls are always there, hovering around each and every mortal being with a soul. It is their sole purpose to signal their Reaper when the soul is ready to be harvested. Only those beings who have had near-death experiences may see these deathly frightening beings. The Death Knolls have not been around as long as Reapers have. In fact, they were a recent creation due to how many beings there are on this Earth now whose souls need to be harvested. Reapers can not be everywhere at once and do not have the time to sit and wait for one or two beings to die. So the Grim Reaper created and employed these half-souls to be the watchers for the normal Reapers. The Grim Reaper keeps the two originals of his creations for his own use, to watch particularly interesting beings. Each Death Knoll is accompanied by a special spider which is what made and maintains their wings. Without the spider, they would not be able to fly, or to move around in any way.
Royal Death Knolls {(The ones with the teardorp gems)}
Royal Death Knolls are rarer and harder to find than the regular ones. They are characterized by the Royal Gems they have on them. These Death Knolls have special powers and can grant ONE wish of the person who they are watching and by choice be seen by chosen mortals. ***These are a rare type of Death Knoll!!! To have one as a character, the cost is ONE RARE CS PET! No exceptions!***
Ghosts:
Ghosts occur when a Death Knoll does not signal their Reaper to appear to collect the soul. It is unknown but to them alone why they do not signal their Reapers, as it can be punishable by being collected themselves and sent to The Forgotten Realm. A dark, dismal, gray and black world halfway between Purgatory and the Underworld.
