Shadow | Beta | Dusk Pack | Rebel | Tagging: Open | Location: Camp

Shadow had long since had issues with the wolf who had stepped up to lead their Pack. Which really was a shame, since he was also her former mate. Not for some time now, but still, it complicated matters considerably. Especially since she knew he’d earned the respect of many of their Packmates, and while once she’d been in awe of him too, now when she looked at him, she was filled with only disappointment and resentment, and found herself asking herself what she had ever seen in him.

Shadow didn’t claim to be a violent or disobedient wolf under most circumstances. She’d even accepted the position of Beta some year and a half ago in hopes that she might be able to change things peacefully from the inside, but that had never happened, no matter how hard she had tried, and so now she had to take a whole different approach. An approach she had initially sworn off as a last resort. She would divide the Pack.

There are many good wolves here. I hope those of you who have your hearts in the right place can forgive me. I can’t stand by and watch, nor can I condone the way he runs things anymore though. Shadow had lost much. A lot of wolves had. Max had grown harsher as the months passed, and she had to do something about it. She’d been collecting her allies, the wolves that agreed with her, or at least disagreed with Max. Soon they would have to make a move, before they lost the will to move forward.

Max | Alpha | Dusk Pack | Tagging: Open | Location: Camp

Max headed out of his den, gaze shifting towards Shadow. Things were complicated with that one, and although she was his Beta, sometimes he could not even look her in the eye after everything that had happened. No matter though. In the end, she was his Beta, and his teammate, she’d done her best to give good council, and he trusted her word. She had wisdom.

Max headed to the prey pile. It was starting to run short again. Almost dangerously short. They needed a good haul to feed a Pack of this size, and soon. He lifted his head, scanning for any of the Hunters who may be available.

Karter | Warrior | Dusk Pack | Rebel | Tagging: Storm | Location: Camp

Karter had risen early, as always, and with wolves starting to wake for the day, made his way over to Storm. Slowly, not entirely sure what he was going to say. He’d seen Max eyeing the prey pile. While Karter himself was no Hunter, he also knew everyone would have a bad day if it turned out Max decided to be angry about the pile running so low.

"Hey, prey pile's low. Alpha's already noticed," he acknowledged. "He’s gonna end up sendin' the Hunters out. If at some point you guys want a Warrior escort for a hunt, I haven’t been assigned to anythin' for the day yet," he offered. Just some food for thought. He would be eager to be on the move, anything that wasn’t just sitting around in camp.

Leo | Pup | Dusk Pack | Rebel | Tagging: Lucas | Location: Camp

Leo, although not much younger than his friend, sometimes felt ages apart from Lucas ever since Lucas had been moved to the Trainee den. However, he’d still seize any chance he got to spend some time together, try to recover the days where they just had fun when he could. Especially since he’d heard Shadow talking lately, reaching the ears of some of the Pack, sowing the first seeds of doubt and chaos and confusion, even in himself. He wanted things to be normal again. Well. As normal as they could be, anyway. So he bounded over to Lucas when he noticed his familiar figure.

"Hey, Lucas! Are you busy yet?" He asked, skidding to a halt in front of Lucas and staring at him with wide blue eyes, hopeful. Please say no, please say no! If he said yes, Leo would surely be disappointed, but if he said no, Leo also had no idea what to suggest really, but it didn’t really matter, did it? He wanted some sense of normalcy back.

Arian | Lead Warrior | Dusk Pack | Tagging: Open | Location: Camp

Arian cleaned out her mottled pelt quickly, precise, swift strokes of her tongue, just enough that she appeared presentable, then she went out into the main area of camp in search of available Warriors to put together a patrol for the morning, it was about time they got moving, as far as she was concerned. The sun was already up, they’d missed the start of dawn, when she usually rose and got things organized and sorted out.

indentationHunting wasn't just a job for Dixon, nor was it a skill, or hobby. It was a way of life, a calling if you will. Those that treated Hunting like a game often earned his ire for at least a time. This is why, when he noticed the prey pile was starting to grow small, the male got to his paws, ready to go. He was ready to put himself out there, maybe even lead a hunting party. It may be late winter, but until spring came in full bloom he would still consider it winter, and therefore prey would always be scarce. Taking notice that Max had approached the prey pile, he frowned slightly for a heartbeat before it fell into a blank mask. He debated internally about approaching the alpha, glancing at Shadow for less than a heartbeat, and decided to sit back down.

indentationMeria gazed down at the rippling water, the gray-hued she-wolf sighed. Things were not going as expected. Nymeria had plans, none of which meant languishing as a fighter for the rest of her life. Lead Fighter would do well enough, while she'd never turn down the offer of beta, she also didn't really want the stress of it. Not to mention the stress of becoming Alpha, when the current one dies or retired. She grimaced, as she lapped up a bit more water, quenching her thirst. She'd gotten up early today, needing to expel excess energy, and now it was time to return to camp. But she really didn't want to, so she may have dragged her paws a bit, enjoying the scenery. At least before the fae sighed, and sped up a bit, stride lengthening as she trotted forward. This was how she padded into camp, mellow and with an small unsure, but genuine smile on her maw.

indentationSaga looked down at the pack, emerald green gaze sparkling with dark delight as she watched over her pack-mates. Her expression softened as she caught sight of some of the pups waking. While disinterested in most of her packmate's lives, she had a soft spot for pups and tended to dote on them. Which often led to a bit of a rude awakening when they grew up, after becoming full fighters or full hunters, her interest and protectiveness wained. Sure she wasn't the most maternal sort, but she has raised a great litter all on her own. She'd had some help from her new packmates, but it had mostly been on her own, and she'd willingly accepted very little help. Nymeria and her siblings had all turned out great if she said so herself. Each was hard working, loyal, good in their profession, and had loads of potential. As uninterested as she was in day-to-day things of general life, she was proud of her pups, and her pack. So feeling, like everything was okay in the world, the older fae rested her head on her paws, and relaxed as she looked over the pack from her vantage point.

indentationStressed to his core, the young male gnawed on a leg bone, lapping at the marrow, if just to avoid trying to do the same with his own leg. Prey was low, he knew that, and he wanted to do something about it. Should he approach Max about joining a hunting party the older male sends out? Daryl risked a glance at his surly father, the hair along his spine raising for a moment before he forced it flat. As it seemed that his father wouldn't maybe he would have to. Yes, yes I should. He thought absently, as he got up, dropping the bone with little care. With stiff shoulders but an otherwise carefree expression, the male approached the alpha. "Planning to send out a hunting party, Alpha Max?" He asked, tiling his head slightly, "I would greatly enjoy on being on one if you are, sir."

Lucas | Warrior Trainee | Rebel | Location: Camp | Tagging: Leo (mentions: Zero)

Lucas had been stumbling out of his nest in the trainee den when he was soon met with Leo, one of his dear friends. If not for the month of an age difference, they would be sharing a den together again. He bumped his nose against Leo's and grinned.
"Nah, not yet! D'ya wanna wrestle?" He asked. "I can show you how much I've improved since yesterday!" He giggled and wagged his tail, dropping into a play crouch. "Zero is such a good Trainer! I wish he could train both of us! Have you thought about who you want your trainer to be? It's not gonna be too long until you're a Trainee, after all!"

Lukina- f- 3 1/2- Hunter (den mother in future)- willing to be Beta- willing to take a trainee- supports: Shadow- pan; Shadow (will get pregnant in future but male doesn't stick around)- pups: Sorin in the future- Tags: Shadow

The pretty, slender and smaller female yawned a bit. Golden hues opened to look around the den a moment. Then the gray wolf with the dark nose, pads and nails shook her head. The loyal, pup loving but stubborn and fiery one sat up. She took a moment to sit there, before standing. She stretched then straightened, shaking out her gray, reddish-brown and white pelt. She then hurried out of the den. She knew she and the other hunters needed to likely go hunting once again.

As she headed to see if the prey pile had enough food for at least the hunters, she saw Shadow. She was thinking to herself. She almost missed that Shadow was there. She was thinking how the hunters needed to eat, to have energy to hunt more. Then again, all the wolves needed to eat. Warriors needed energy, the healers needed energy, moms needed to produce milk if their pups were still that young. Pups needed to eat as well. Shaking her head, she suddenly noticed Shadow.

She headed over to the white she wolf, though stopped short.

She said "H...Hello," then scolded herself for the stutter.

Titania- f- 6 y- hunter- willing to be Beta- willing to take a trainee- supports: Shadow- nope- Oberon is her mate (black phase with blue eyes)- Navii (npc) and Linkk- no family in the RP- Tags: Linkk/ open for anyone else

The gentle and sweet but wild and loud, average height and slender, pretty female yawned. She quickly got to her feet. Green eyes glanced around, and landed on her son. She nosed and nudged at him with a dark nosed snout, then sighed. The dark nailed and padded one nipped at his ears, each in turn. He sat up with a yelp, and she shook her head at him. "We need to see if there's a hunting party," she said. She wasn't so sure there was anything set up yet, but still, might as well go check.

The fluffy lighter brown one then nipped her daughter as well.

The younger she wolf needed to go hunting with them as well.

Linkk- m- 1 y- hunter- no beta- willing to take a trainee- homosexual; Blizzard potentially, Comet, Crow and Ember- supports: Shadow- Oberon x Titania- Navii is his twin sister- no other family in the RP- Tags: Titania/ open for anyone else (maybe Blizzard or Comet? Or Crow)

The friendly and playful but sometimes shy and nervous one sighed in his sleep. He yawned and whined a little. He rolled to his other side, and sprawled back out just as he'd been. He shivered and moved his paws a bit, but then stopped doing that. He didn't know his mother had woken up. He couldn't possibly, as he was still sleeping himself. A moment later, he yelped and turquoise eyes flew open. He sat up quick and looked at his mom, looking a bit hurt that she'd nipped him like that.

He sighed as he listened to her words...then nodded.

The lighter brown semi fluffy smaller and slender one trotted out of the den.

Rion- m- 2 y 8 mo- warrior- willing to be beta- willing to take a trainee- supports: Max- homosexual; Luciano but open to be crushed on- wants pups somehow- no family in RP- Tags: open (Luciano?) (mentions: Lukina, Shadow, Linkk)

The down to earth and playful but fiery and wild dark faced one yawned a bit. He was already up and out of the den. The dark nosed, padded, and nailed male sighed. He saw not many of the others were up yet...and he shook his head. Pretty blue eyes fracked Lukina as she headed to Shadow. He snorted and shook his head...then watched Linkk step out of a den. He nodded to himself, then looked around again. The average height and slender brown wolf wouldn't admit it, but he was looking for Luciano.

Quin- f- 1 and 1/2- healer- no beta- willing to take a trainee- supports: Max- bi, poly- crush: Kass- mate when three or older- no pups yet (will probably name one Kiia)- no family in RP- Tags: open (Kass?)

The motherly and cuddly but stubborn and hard headed pretty and slender but somewhat taller one sighed. The black phase she wolf was in the healer den. She looked for her fellow healer. The pretty eyed one then shook her head. It couldn't hurt to step out of the den for a bit. It was just morning again, so there was no way any-wolf had gotten hurt yet. She stepped out and breathed in the air. She then looked to the prey pile, as her belly rumbled a bit to let her know she was hungry.

Oriole- genderfluid (female)- 1 y- hunter- no beta- willing to take a trainee- supports: Max- bi, poly open- Jay is crush- Jay will be mate in future- will try for pups at three years old- Basil is/was aunt- Tags: Jay?

The happy and playful but fiery and and hard headed one yawned. The white muzzled one moved around a bit. Pretty, light colored gray eyes were shut. The one with the white chest patch was still asleep, as it seemed to be obvious. The white tipped tail flicked from time to time. The ears went back then pushed forward, seeming to hear sounds. However, the other was asleep and couldn't really respond to sounds. White paws moved a bit, as if the chocolate one were following something in dreams.

Storm | Hunter | Rebel | Location: Camp | Tagging: Karter (mentions: Max, Daryl, Dixon)

Storm had just left her den when Karter approached. She looked down at him... and then down further. She had to press her chin to her chest to look him in the eye while she remained standing at her full height. Ears twitching, she caught the conversation that was starting between the alpha and one of their hunters and her head raised, scanning the area for any other hunters. She could see Dixon and it was Daryl that was speaking to Max. No one else had made themselves apparent just yet - even Arian was just getting out of her den, lazy bones. The warriors would have normally already patrolled by sun-up!

Turning her eyes back down...down...oh there Karter was! She smiled broadly at him and licked the top of his head, only needing to bend her legs a little to reach him. Retreating, she nodded her head.
"I'd like your company, and I'm sure the patrol would like the escort, especially since Arian seems to have a late start." She nodded towards the Lead Warrior as she walked over to Max.

"I'll join you, Daryl. Karter can escort us. Did we want to bring Dixon too, or any others?" She asked her fellow hunter and then dipped her head to Max too. "Good morning, my Alpha." She greeted him. "I will listen to you first and foremost, if you wish me on this patrol - though I should like to say, the more mouths to hunt, the merrier." She added.

Leo | Pup | Dusk Pack | Rebel | Tagging: Lucas | Location: Camp

Leo excitedly bounced on his feet. "Yeah, yeah! Show me! I bet you’re gonna be the best Warrior the Pack has ever or will ever see, if Zero's that good of a trainer, right?" Had he thought about it? Sure, a little. Maybe more than just a little. But there was never any guaranteed that’d be who he ended up paired with. "Yeah. I dunno, I kinda want Leonidas to be my trainer. He seems like he would make a good teacher."

Shadow | Beta | Dusk Pack | Rebel | Tagging: Lukina | Location: Camp

Shadow's blue gaze shifted towards Lukina, arguably one of her most steadfastly loyal wolves, and one of the first she had gone to when she had first started to voice her concerns about the well-being of their Pack, and the leadership they were currently under. She’d be lying to say she didn’t find some form of kinship in the she-wolf. "Good morning, Lukina. Can I help you?" She was always listening, always watching, for signs of discontent, anything she could use, and she’d do whatever she could to gain support and allies in the meantime.

Karter | Warrior | Dusk Pack | Rebel | Tagging: Storm, Daryl | Location: Camp

If it was anyone else, Karter would’ve grumped and complained about being so short in comparison, but it was in the strangest way, a kind of endearing gesture. He glanced towards Arian, looking slightly more ruffled than her usual self. "Yeah, no kiddin' there." His attention shifted towards Daryl. "Hey, good morning." He hadn’t spoken much with the Hunter, but it certainly never hurt to at least try to be polite, right?

Max | Alpha | Dusk Pack | Tagging: Daryl, Storm, Karter | Location: Camp

Max's amber gaze moved to Daryl, lingering for a moment. "The prey stock is far lower than usual. Dangerously so, I had hoped see someone take initiate before it could get to be so small. The Pack must remain strong." He glanced at Storm and Karter, chatting in the corner before heading over to them. "Yes, take Storm, and find someone else to go with you, it appears Karter is acting as the guard, or otherwise glued to Storm's side already, but all the better. You’ll be covered out there." He dipped his head to Storm as she approached. "Good morning, Storm, Karter."

Zeus | Warrior | Rebel | Location: Camp | Tagging: Lukina, Shadow

Zeus was happy to sleep in - she didn't know why Arian didn't come to get the warriors up for a patrol. Or maybe she had, but the Lead Warrior was so sneaky that Zeus hadn't even heard her come and go. Either way, Zeus was able to sleep in until sun up and when she left the warriors den, she looked around for someone to interact with. It was common knowledge that the warriors would eat among the last of the pack - there wasn't any battles to be done or won, so why did it matter if the Warriors were in shape?

She spotted Lukina and Shadow over to one side and padded over to them. Hunters, like Lukina, should eat first, Zeus thought. And the Beta, Shadow, should always be in the best of health too. With the fullest intent to mother them both, despite having never been a mother herself (and with little intention on ever being a mother, too) Zeus approached, dipped her head respectively and then said:

"Good morning, Beautiful Beta Shadow." Zeus' eyes glimmered. She always had a fine appreciation for strong female leaders. "Good day to you, Lovely Lukina." She acknowledged the smaller she-wolf with a smile. "Have either of you eaten yet?"

Storm | Hunter | Rebel | Location: Camp | Tagging: Karter, Max, Daryl (mentions: Titania)

Storm smiled at her alpha when he addressed her and she dipped her head.
"Good morning, Alpha." She said again, as though she hadn't already wished him good morning. She twitched her ears, realizing her error. "Oops, sorry. Well... uh, even better morning, Alpha Max." She said in an attempt to smooth over the goof up on her part. She glanced between Max and Daryl. "Are we starting a hunting patrol? Can Karter and I come?" She did another scan, finding more hunters coming from their respective dens. "We could take Titania along, she's got plenty experience." Storm considered aloud. "Maybe we should even form two patrols and go in separate directions. Golly knows we have enough pack mates for that." She said, her eyes focusing in and out as she picked out the hunters in the area. "But this is just me thinking aloud, just suggesting it. No worries, no rush, no commitment. I'm only a hunter. But you know, that's my idea, to do two patrols. And to take Titania in ours. Your call though, Alpha, always." She said, returning her gaze to Max with a relaxed smile.

Lucas | Warrior Trainee | Rebel | Location: Camp | Tagging: Leo

Lucas was thrilled when Leo engaged with him. Jumping out of his play bow, he leaped at Leo without any warning.
"Behold!" He bellowed as he tried to catch Leo's ear in his mouth. "The element of surprise!" His tail was wagging so furiously it was clear that rather than showing off any training, he was just wrestling with his friend, but play fighting was close enough to fight training, right?

The golden eyed gray wolf just looked at Shadow a moment. It was definitely more than a moment, but Lukina didn't seem to notice. When Shadow spoke, Lukina quickly shook her head. She thought Yeah, just...keep talking. she then scolded herself for that, but at least she hadn't accidentally said it aloud. She smiled a wolf smile at the other. Just as she was about to speak, Zeus walked up. She looked to the other she wolf, and nearly blushed as she called her lovely.

Zeus was pretty nice to look at, even she could admit that. Despite having the biggest crush on Shadow, she knew how to appreciate others. She smiled that same wolf smile. She pawed at the ground a bit, saying "I...haven't eaten yet." She then looked to Shadow again. She said "I...was going to ask if you'd eaten yet, but Zeus has already asked that. I...can ask something else, though. Did you sleep at all last night?" was the question she asked the other, knowing Shadow might be stressed about...well, Max...

It was no secret the male didn't treat them very well...

Shaking her head, she looked to Zeus again, liking how motherly the other was.

The green eyed fluffy lighter brown female sighed at her son. She nudged him a bit to make him get a move on, then shook her head. She hummed a small canine sound. She then headed out of the den after the smaller wolf. She watched as he looked around, and seemed to know who he was looking for. She said "You can look for them, but you need to also do your job." She then stepped away from her son. Green eyes landed on Storm, whom was with Max and some of the others.

She tilted her head, as she wondered if they were planning a hunt maybe.

She headed over to them, saying "Good morning alpha, Storm, Karter, Daryl."

He snorted when she said he could look, but he needed to also work. He shook his head as she stepped away from him. He then went back to looking around for Blizzard, Comet, Crow, and Ember. He wondered if any of them were up yet. If they weren't up, then that meant they hadn't eaten.
