here's a lil secret... big tough lizard man doesn't really protect anyone besides Thistle. So... why is that? Why does a lil bug matter to him so much?
Well... she's a firefly, and he's afraid of the dark. Meaning, if she comes to him during the night and helps him fall asleep with her lil glow, he offers her protection for the rest of her life... pretty good deal for a tiny creature with limited defense strategies, just get the sociopathic kill- I mean, the funny lizard man to protect you! :]
