This is also a 2021 Kindle, so I don't know what the problem is.
I also have a kindle that won't let me do the oekaki, I don't know if I have the same one as you though. I think it's just to much for the device

It's a Kindle Fire, I think.
It let's me do some Oekaki, and like if I make my own drawings, but other ones are apparently too many files..
