Hello! Recently, I'm in need of an artist for my new species, the Salemandre.
Salemandres are attracted by disasters and come in these varieties, depending on which particular crisis draws them out. To read even more about them, go here.
Disasters and Their Correlation:
Earth: Landslide, Earthquakes, Drought
Fire: Forest Fires, Volcano Eruptions, Heat Waves
Water: Tsunamis, Flooding, Extreme Rain Conditions
Wind: Hurricanes, Tornadoes
Ice: Snowstorm, Blizzard, Avalanches, Hail Storms
Darkness: Plagues, Wars, Famines
The ideal new artist should be able to:
-Use layers effectively
-Create unique designs
-Alter existing lines with small changes such as whiskers, manes, tails, or other Salemandre parts
-Work at their own pace and not rush anything
Notes:
-The lines are made with the pen tool set at size one and soft round.
-Salemandres do not have too many 'human' accessories such as bracelets, necklaces, glasses, etc. Instead, most additions are actual parts of their body unless they've actually been a familiar to a human previously or are currently one.
-There is no set breed traits for one element. Salemandres are all unique, and a mix-match of parts. The only noticeable differences between the elements are really color patterns and overall design themes.
-Must be kept within an already established element. For example, no Light Salemandres.

I will definitely be selecting one top winner. This winner will join me and the other artist on my adopts. Second place will also probably be hired, depending on how many entrants this has. ^^
Please, do not join if you aren't willing to even do a bit of part-time work, because the purpose of this contest is to find a new artist. This isn't just for the pets, but for the ability to work with Salemandres and help it grow.
As an artist, you will be allowed to choose your own prices for customs and how many slots (if any) you want open at a time. You are able to make as many pre-made Salemandres you want for adoption, or even your own custom(s).

Basically, if you want to get a higher chance of winning, you:
-Personalize it. Don't just stick to the lines in place. I want to test the ability of the artists to alter and change things for special features such as varying horn, tail, and other body parts because eventually, these will be breedable, and I like giving each Salemandre certain special traits that aren't in the premade line options. None of the elementals have a set group of traits. For example, just because its a Water Salemandre doesn't mean it has to have fins or back spines.
-Be outlandish. Well, not too outlandish. I appreciate eye catching designs and unqiue blends as well as traditional tones. Salemandres have no species color guidelines, after all. :0
-Don't shade. I mean, you don't have to do it, and when you work as an artist for the adopts, shading won't be allowed. I like the actual patterns and designs to speak for themselves, so all my own creations are flat. I could add shading to the lines, but for now, there won't be any.
-The same can be said of backgrounds. You can add one, but official adopts will have transparent BGs to be easier to use and more neatness for character threads.

*****There is no form you have to fill out- just color and create your own Salemandre as an entry. ^^
****You can make as many entries as you want, but please, take your time on them and make sure they're decent, not just alpha-locking with different colors. Remember- the best will win. Quality over quantity is always referred, at least for a Saelmandre artist.
