The Defenders of Zawen are a wolf species. They are sleek, lean, strong, and big wolves with three different tails and keen eye site. They can control certain elements. When they are pups they have massive ears and haven't developed their powers yet. There are four clans: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall, each Clan has it's own mountain and the mountains are in big areas or Rings as they are called. Each ring is called something different, Ring A, Ring B, Ring C, and Ring D. The wolves in each clan can only control certain elements. Winter clan controlls Frost, water, and air. Spring clan controls plants, poison, and physic. Summer clan controls electricity, fire, and light. Fall clan controls darkness, healing, and earth. They live in mountains with four rivers dividing each territory. Once every thousand years, four wolves come along with bright glowing eyes. They are born into each clan, one in Winter, one in Summer, Spring, and Fall. They each have one special power. Death, Life, Control over animals, and Foresight. When they are born they are cast away. When these four Regalo(special) wolves reach a certain age they recieve a message from their ancesters in the spirit trail. The ancesters tell them about their special mission to watch over the clans and make sure not to get into fights. Some stray and become evil, desiring to take control of all the clans. But the good DoZ's come to the rescue and defend the clans.

Long ago dogs followed their masters into the mountains to hunt the bears that threatened their village. There was a group of humans that wanted to save the bears so they took three bears into their village and trained them privately. The humans fed the bears water from a supposedly blessed creek that ran upstream. Soon the bears grew mutations of horns, spikes running down their backs and long tails. The bears also grew smart and revolted against the humans, killing the village. The dogs saw what was happening and prayed to their ancestors to help them. The spirits guided them to the creek and told them to drink. They soon became strong wolves with the power to control the elements. They fought the bears for years and were pushed into the mountains where they made their home. One year a pup with incredible powers was born into each clan. One of the pups grew up to be a vicious tyrant. He slayed pups and the elderly and almost drove the Clans into extinction. Finally the three other Regalo wolves joined and took him down. The spirits blessed them by making a fifth mountain in the center of the other four mountains for them to live in. The decendents of these wolves live in the mountains and the fifth mountain is reserved for the Leaders of the four different clans, the Alto Court, and the four Regalo wolves that come around every thousand years.
[]The Alto Court[]
The Alto court consists of the four leaders of the Clans, the four Army Generals, and the four Regalo wolves. The Alto court Decides important things like how to attack the Orsi (the mutant bears)x and what to do with any traitors or evil wolves in the pack. (moreinfo to come.)
[]Dens[]
There is a maze of dens inside the mountains. The Leaders of the Ring have the biggest dens. Every wolf has their own den. Inside the dens is unnaturally bright because there are diamonds imbedded in the rock that picks up every little bit of light and reflects it. From outside the mountains look almost blue, and from inside the rock is an amazing dark granite.
