"Betrothed? What do you mean betrothed!?" Seraphina barked with wide eyes. She was little more than six months old when her parents explained her betrothal to a handsome black male from another pack.
"But I don't want to be his mate! I want to choose for myself!" She yelped fearfully. Her mother nuzzled her side gently, pushing her over so that she was laying down.

"Seraphina. In time you will choose. Just you wait and see. When the time comes, you'll choose him because you'll see that you two are meant to be together." Her mother murmured in her ear, "You'll see that he's the only wolf for you, and you'll love him. Don't fear for the future now, you've still got plenty of time ahead of you. You're only a pup after all."

Seraphina sighed softly and shook her head, closing her eyes, "I hope you're right mama, because right now, I think you and papa are both crazy."


Colored for a contest. Even if I don't win, I think I'll keep her as a character though, I've grown rather attached to her already. In fact... I do believe I feel a story coming on...
