I havn't coloured anything in, in a while.

But i needed something to do, and my hamster died today.

I made the decision to put him to sleep, he really wasn't looking too good and he was getting old.

When i first got him, he was hardly bigger than about two inches and he was scared stiff of everything and he use to hiss at everyone. Overtime though he turned into just about the sweetest Hamster everywhere and i wasn't willing to let him suffer any longer.

I'll always remember him though, he died three days before my birthday <3

Oh, I'm sorry. My hamster died in September, not long after my birthday, from old age when she was sleeping. She was about 3 or 4, we had gotten her from the pound, and she was the most adorable, sweetest little girl. She would follow your voice, and when she saw someone she would come up to the front of the cage and look at you. Her best friend was my dog lucky, and they would sniff each other through the cage and Lucky would kiss her. I miss my girl... :C I know how you feel.

That sounds so familiar xD That was a good age for a hamster though, Freddy was around two. I've kind of forgotten about it right now, but i have a weird way of dealing with things. Mine always use to come to his name and come up to the bars and my dog was obsessed with him, both of them would sniff and lick each other through the bars, a very odd relationship xD I don't feel as bad this time i suppose, i knew it was coming and i know that i made the right decision.

This picture is darling, and I'm very sorry for your loss. </3 I'm glad that right now you're doing well, though. The unbelievably close date to your birthday is always an unwanted coincidence. Last year, two of my turtles died very suddenly, both on Christmas, nearly 3 minutes or less apart. They left behind their sister, and she's very sad without them. :c They used to stack on top of each other and swim together. I have many pets, and I agree that they're amazing to love, own, and save, but you're right. It's hard to live in fear, knowing that they could die any time, and sometimes it's easy to jump to the conclusion of believing that it's nearly not worth it to own one. But I have to say, it definitely is, despite the pain. Just the fact that Freddy's personality changed after the two of you began to bond says enough that even a small creature has a big enough brain and heart to know that you impacted their life as much as they impacted your's. I'm sure that there will always be a "paw print" in your heart, where he's left his very own mark. I know for certain that each pet I've had, or still have - from fin mark to paw print - have left some little impact that has made them absolutely unforgetable.

Awh thank you, how on earth you know what to say i don't even know. :3 I am feeling a little bit guilty though, they don't live hardly as long as i would want and i have to admit that i've been distracted lately that i just can't stop thinking about the fact that i didn't spend as much time with him as i would of hoped. School has generally distracted me and i just feel bad because it doesn't seem two years since i got him. I don't feel guilty about putting him to sleep though, if i had left it any longer he would of died right on my birthday and i don't exactly want to remember him by that. I know what you mean though, i'll never stop having animals, and even though it seems easier having dogs and such because they live longer it only makes it harder. But i love animals so i'm willing to suffer just to enjoy them. :B Thanks for knowing what to say, i couldn't put it any better myself. I never really thought of it like that, and im not being morbid for once and thinking about how he looked today, in my mind i'm just remembering the time that...
