Bacically:
"Little pup, it's just a test. PLease calm down." Daniel's breath in her ear as he whispered to her, trying to keep quiet.
"Of course, i just..." havent got used to being around you so much...because i... she couldn't finish that thought. Damn, why is it so hard to talk to him now? she mentally took a note to shut up. SHe huddled low next to him, watching a deer that came by. She hated being called a pup, since she had just turned into a proper adult, but with him she didn't mind. She lunged forwards, biting deep into the deer's neck. As it lay dead on the ground, bleeding, she turned to face Daniel...but he was gone.
A growl near her made her jump. "Skye?" she whispered, "Mum? Dad? Eliza? Anyone?" A lone wolf stepped out of the forest, dragging her Daniel by his neck, blood oozing out. In fact, he was covered in blood. "Daniel..." she breathed, frozen.
"Move away from the food." the lone wolf snapped, and she backed up fast. He threw Daniel down next to her, and she helped him up. She didn't notice the lone wolf running with her prize, just Daniel's agonized gasps.
He got up and smiled at her. "Go, little pup. I'll be fine..." she interupted him. "Your dying!" she cried, hugging him. "And I can't leave you..."
Why not little pup?" he asked, hugging her back.
Tears were flowing down her cheeks, "because i love you!" she sobbed.
SHe thought he wouldn't answer for a second, but then he said softly, "i love you too..." and fell. Luce curled up besides him and cried, because she knew, deep down, he was dead...
And she couldn't go home. So she ran.
ANd this is why luce left her pack.
