~Red Velvet~
I can hear the snow cruch under my paws as I run. The snow is halfway up my legs, but I run free. Powdery flakes fly around me, catching in the light and sparkling like a thousand dewdrops in the sun. I take a deep breath and smell another wolf. I race forward, pushing myself to go faster, but what I see has my eyes wide. His fur fades from a dark gray to nearly white, with blood red marks on his sides and cheeks, but it's his eyes that really get me. They are a bright amber with nearly nonexistant pupils. He's blind. He looks so freaked out, then his eyes turn red and he growls. "Leave me alone.", his voice is so familliar, older than I remember, but it's him. I know it. I run forward and tackle him to the snow. It sprays around us, giving everything an unearthly appearance. "Ghostie?", my voice is small, but I know it has to be him. If not than I have no idea what I'll do.
~Phantom~
I can smell the rabbit, it's close. I jumped forward, but it jumps away. I slap the ground with my paw, I can hear the snow fly around me. I can hear a sound behind me, running. Snow flies again, and I turn around, scared. Whatever it is, it's around my size, so I can't fight it. I smell the air, and realize it's just some stupid she-wolf, running around scaring the prey. I can feel my blood boil and a growl rips it's way through my lips. "Leave me alone.", I keep my voice low, so I don't scare away anything left. She runs forward and pushes me into the snow. I'm about to jump up and show her what happens when you tackle bigger wolves. Then she speaks. "Ghostie?", her voice is so quiet that I could barely hear her. "My name is Phantom.", my voice is softer, kinder, I can tell. My eyes are probably bright blue right now. It's her, it's really her. I stand and feel her push her muzzle into my shoulder. One of her paws wraps around me, like she thinks I'll leave her. I set my head on her's and let out a shaky breath that I didn't know I was holding. "You're back.", she's crying, I can feel her tears on my shoulder. "I won't leave you again.", I say it, and I know it's true. "Promise?", she sounds like she's already lost. I'll never let her go. "Promise."
