Here are the results!
I judged your entries on quality of edits, flow of the design and overall picture.
Here they are!
/drumroll please
Grand prize winner: moonlight_girl
I adored your entry, the quality of the entry and your attention to detail is amazing. The shading looks great, and I love how realistic the edits look!
Please PM me the pets you want, and I'll send you a trade. :3
First place: die Lille
Your entry[s] are all amazing, I love the design. The edits are all neat and go well with the design. :]
Second place: BlackandTan
The design is really cool-looking, I like the concept. The edits were neat and look good, and the design has a good color scheme and quality. :33
Third place: Sora-
The entry's color scheme and design was lovely, whether it's a fire canine or something based off of the colors you'd see in the Fall. Nice edits, I love the three tails. <3
This is a different kind of contest - I don't want a new character or anything.
I want to see how well CS can edit linearts! :D
The rules are pretty simple.
-You have to make at least two lineart edits. Whether that's a halo or wings, I want to see the quality at which you can edit the lineart and make a great design.
-The lineart must be recognizable. You can't redraw my entire lineart! (<75% edits. NO MORE THAN THAT.)
-You have to be able to use the Oekaki program well. If you don't know how to Lock Alpha, create new layers or create certain effects then how can you make a quality lineart edit?
-You'll be judged on:
*QUALITY OF EDITS!*
This one explains itself. If your edits are with thick, wobbly lines I doubt you'll win much. If they're made with thin wobbly lines with not too much detail, you won't go too far, either. I like minuscule details, like fine feathers and shading. I have a pretty good eye for things like that as well. Less is more, sometimes, and sometimes one large edit can beat out ten minor ones. (Ex. A pair of large, feathered gorgeous wings with tons of feather detail would probably beat out the lineart with a thousand little edits with no detail.)
*FLOW OF DESIGN!*
If the design doesn't look nice, I won't be instantly drawn to it. I like cool colors that flow nicely together, with good color schemes and a nice design. Red and purple demon dogs are nice, but they're not necessarily my taste.
*DRAWING IN GENERAL!*
Backgrounds really make a difference! They make the drawing much nicer by complimenting it instead of a plain white background.
The drawing has to be pretty nice as well, probably with shading.
How well you "use" the lineart also makes a large part, too.
*QUALITY OF DRAWING!*
OK, this should be pretty obvious.
I want to see you spent time on your entry, you spent time coloring it, you spent time working and tweaking the edits and lineart and such to make it look the best it can.
Winners can send trades to me, with something involving "art competition prizes" in the message.
