I couldn't figure out how to hold and drag the clothes

You have to go to the layer a clothing piece is on and then click the 'move' button c:

For example if you wanted the smiley face t-shirt you would go to the layer it's on and move it onto to the figure.

It's on the main button panel (: (Where the pencil/pen/eraser ect. is)

It's the top right button.
