Based off the song Rise by Shawn McDonald.

I'm in LOVE with this song, and Saturday night I saw Shawn McDonald in concert!<3

He was explaining how he wrote this song because he had been going through some hard times in the past few years or so, questioning why he belived in God and all sorts of just "stuff". So one day he went out back to his little campfire pit, and that was the place he would go to just think things through etc.
As he was sitting there looking at all the red hot coals, he was thinking about his childhood and how his grandparents lived near farms and crops. And he remembered that at the end of the harvest, all the farmers would burn down the crops to prepare for the next year. He asked his grandpa why, and he told him it was to make the soil better and more nutrient for the next years crops.
And then he realized, God was burning off all the old, bad stuff from his life, and getting ready for more growth in their relationship.

<3 I almost cried durring this song, since I've been going through some hard stuff to lately, and I've been feeling lost and confused.
