Parsios
The land of Parsios is a beautiful planet, which is not within our reach yet. Their planet having green grass like us, but their sky is purple and there is no sun nor moon that is on the sky. Instead the planet itself produces energy and warmth from within, making the land comfortably warm to the species that lives there. As far as we know, there's only six species on this planet. Two of them being predators and the four other being the prey. Among these ranks there is the Protectors of the Gems, who call themselves the Amaras, and then there's the Protectors of Fire. The Protectors of fire lives on the half of the planet that is covered in volcanos, and where no plant can grow. They're seen as cruel and kills anything they see, their shape formed as a feline. Their name was given by the Amara's, who fought a great war many years back in time. The name that was given was Tueur (french) which means killer. The Tueur's was driven back to their own area, where they spat fire at their land, making it hard for anything at all to grow.

Amaras
The Amaras is also known as the Protectors of the Gems, for they found a cave long ago where gems was found everywhere. They hung from the roof, and the sunlight made them glow in an incredible light. The canine like creatures who found them soon explored the cave to find a room deep inside the mountain, where they found a mighty gem. The largest of them all, and they soon started to worship the gem. It turned out the gem had magical powers, and soon it mutated the wolves, slowly and painfully. When the process was done they no longer had fluffy tails, but they became long and had four feathers attached to it. They got a gem placed in their head, and each pup born got it's very own gem. There where a couple, Makisha and Sorar that was picked out as the leaders, the royalty of the cave.
Soon it became obvious that they had been given magical powers too, and each and every of them was given a special power. They had one attack each, some of them was given the ability to heal wounds, other had the ability to run faster etc. Soon it also turned out that they were given wings. These where quite special, for they could be retraced back into the shoulders, having a small area within them that was created to take care of the wings when they weren't used.
They lived peacefully, until the Tueur came. They destroyed their cave and killed their young, before returning to their part of Parsios. They vowed revenge, and soon they got it. Using their magical abilities they fought back and they became victors of a long battle. After that, the Tueur's have not returned, hidden in their volcano filled area. After a while it became obvious the Tueurs also had got abilities like them, but their powers based on fire. Fire was one of the major weaknesses of the Amaras, but they have not yet lost a battle. Luckily for them, they had the powers of all the four elements, while the Tueur only had their strenght and their fire. Yet, this didn't stop them from destroying a lot of their own land, which now looks like a desert.
Ages
The age of the Amara will also be mentioned further down, but I will also put everything here so that it's easier to find ;3
Pup ~ 0 months - 7 months
Teenager/Young Adult ~ 7 months - 1 year
Inbetween 1 year - 4 years they are counted as Young Adults
Adult ~ 4 years - 10 years
Elder ~ 10 years - __
The Elder part is hard to determind, for most Amaras live until they're around the age of 7-8 and then they die in battle/hunt/sickness. Yet a few very strong Amaras might make it through these times and when that happens they are set in a Elder position where they are cared for and respected the rest of their lives. It's rare for an Amara to reach this age however, and many die before this time. They usually die before the age of 20, yet some stories have been told of some that has lived to the age of 15.
Appearance
They look like canines, with tufts of fur on top of their head and a gem placed on their forehead. They have also grown wings, and the longest feathers is visible at their shoulder, for the whole wing can't fit in the place in their body where they can keep them. Their tail is long and dragon like, with four feathers attached to the end of it and gems placed on each of the four feathers. In some rare events an Amara is born without these, or missing one or two. This is usually seen as a bad sign, and if the pup shows signs of easily raged/angered they will most likely kill them off. (Brutal, but true.) Not every pup is seen as a bad sign, for if they are friendly they will be seen as prophecy pups, but many of the pups born with just two/three gems on their tail is mostly doomed to death. There is a secret energy that is stored within the gems that prevents them from being sick, but when these pups misses two/three they will be much more open to sickness. Therefore all of these pups have died, and not even one of them have succesfully survived.
Their paws are like normal canine feet, but they have thin skin in between their toes, which makes it easier for them to swim in the water. (I have read about a dog breed that has that, and I thought it was interesting
) They are also long-limbed and rather thin, which makes them good at running.
The most common colors of all on them is grey, black and darker brown. They can have many other colors too, but these are the colors that will quickly be found on any Amara. It is also common that their eyes is colored in the same color as their gems, or a shade lighter/darker. The wings and tail feathers is custom to each and every Amara, even though some of them can be very alike. For eye colors the most common is blue or green eyes, while the rarest is red.
Ranking System
The Amaras has a quite detailed ranking system, but it can still seem a little bit alike a wolf's. They rank by Alpha, Royals, Healer Beta, Gamma, Delta and Omega. These are put in the right order, so I have now written them in the order from the highest to the lowest. Many of these are like normal wolves ranking system, except they have the rank Healer and Royals.
The Healers are the Amaras that has developed a great skill for healing, or their magical ability is healing in itself. They are high ranked, for they are very important to the Amaras and many of the Healers can be seen at as Royals, even though they are a tiny bit lower ranked than the Royals. The Royals are mainly children of the Alphas, and in most cases one of them will become the next leader. Yet, if none of the children wishes to lead the group they are allowed to not do so, but yet they will be helpers to the Alphas and is mostly treated like they were Alphas for real.
To see their rank, the Amaras wear a string around their paw, like a bracelet. On the end of this string it's attached a gem or a feather. These are also magicial items stored by the Healers, and when a pup is ready to get it's rank it's given this bracelet. The color then changes from a grey color into the color which represents each rank. If an Amaras is ready to move up a rank or two, they are given permission by the Alphas and the Healers, and then the Healer touch the bracelet with his or hers paw. The color then changes, until it's got the right color.
I'm now going to add in the colors of the ranks, which is given to each and every Amaras:
Alphas - Blood Red
Royals - Golden
Healers - Lighter blue/Sky blue
Beta - Bright Red
Gamma - Deep Blue
Delta - Lighter Green
Omega - Darker Green
These colors allow them to see what rank each Amara has.
Breeding
An Amara is ready to breed around the age on 7 months, however many of them is a bit doubtful about this and usually thinks for a while before they think of having a mate. The females go into heat at the same period as the other females, but might not take a mate even though they are ready. Usually a female picks their mate when they're 1 year old. Males usually start a little earlier in their fight for a mate, but they rarely win due to their lack of experience. A mecanism in the females body tells it when the Omoshakwa is taking place, and by that the body chooses which time of the year they are going to be ready. Some Amaras even have to wait a few months, or maybe they're a month or two early. This is because the Omoshakwa should be in the one and same month, so that the males don't tire themselves completly thoughtout the year.
A few months in a year the females will be ready to be bred and have children, while to the males trying to find themselves a mate this is a struggle. Once a year every female goes into heat, but each and every of them has it on different days. This is when the "Omoshakwa" takes place. If there's more than one male that is interested in the female, the two of them fly up into the air, spreading their wings as much as they can as they do a lot of acrobatic moves, twists, spins and dives. This is to impress the female the most, for it's the female who decides who her mate shall be. If there's no males interested in that exact female, she usually have to wait for another year. The male that does the best performance, or is the one the female likes the most, he's most likely to be chosen. However, if there's only one Amara that tries out for a female and the female doesn't like him or refuses to be his mate, he'll just have to try again with another female.
The female go pregnant for quite a while, around 4 months before she's ready to have her children. It's normal for an Amara to have 2 pups in a litter, while it's highly unusual that they have more than 3. When they have first had a litter, it will take two years before she's ready to have another litter of pups. There's no rules against who's allowed to breed, for every single Amara is allowed to do so. When they are born they are presented to the Gem, so that it may evaluate them and see what Amaras that will protect it in the future.
