It's Utahraptors, guys. What's not to love?
▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂████████████████████████ Guidelines ████████████████████████Users participating in CMR may not harass other users for any reason. This includes asking for characters/items that are not for sale, passive aggressive behavior, complaining about the outcome of a competition, or similar actions.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━CMR's art may not be used for anything other than work for CMR. Please do not use the lineart to design non-CMR adopts or characters on.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Only CMR's official artists can freely make CMR adopts. Users may be added to the main thread and design their own Raptors if they own a custom slot and post a "MYO Request" form as detailed below. A user may then choose to adopt away said MYO design like an official design if they wish, or keep it.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Artist entries may be made into official designs with the use of a custom ticket. When an artist entry is made official in this way, the owner must make a MYO Request, then make a color-in on the main thread, drawing a cover and/or art of the design (ex. a headshot) and link the actual design in the description alongside their MYO Request post, similar to an off-oekaki MYO.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Users may gift or trade their CMR characters and items as they see fit.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Users may freely use their CMR characters out of the species however they see fit, creating new lore, changing the design, adding accessories, etc, however, players may not edit the original reference without the explicit permission of the designer.
▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂████████████████████████ Rarity ████████████████████████A raptor's rarity depends on the amount of redrawn/custom lines it has, known as Custom Traits. Custom Traits are always edits that are custom drawn by the artist. A Standard Trait that is redrawn or otherwise heavily edited will count as a Custom Trait. (For example, drawing your own variation of Feather Tufts will be counted as a Custom Trait,
not as the Standard Trait "Feather Tufts".)
<10% Custom Lineart: Standard (1-2 small edits)
10-25% Custom Lineart: Common
25-50% Custom Lineart: Uncommon
50-75% Custom Lineart: Rare
75%+ Custom Lineart: Very Rare
In addition, there are a variety of pre-drawn "Standard Traits" which give every raptor the chance to show a variety of different details. These traits only remain "Standard Traits"
if their lines are largely unedited. If the trait is redrawn or otherwise majorly changed, it will count as a "Custom Trait" and be counted towards the overall rarity. If there are small/easy edits (resizing, erasing, or rotating to fit better on the design), the trait will still be counted as Standard.
These traits generally fall into the following categories:
Feather Tufts
Visible Ears
Whiskers
Feather Crests
Feather Coverage
▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂████████████████████████ Obtaining Raptors ████████████████████████If I lean into the ARPG aspects I may devise multiple ways for people to get Raptors. For now, there will be Adopts, Customs, and MYOs.
━━━━━━━━━━ Adopts ━━━━━━━━━━Adopts are made by CMR's Artists, and adopted out via various competitions. Adopts may come in any rarity- though higher rarity adopts will be less common. Some examples of possible adopt competitions include:
First Come, First Served (FCFS) - A competition wherein the first user to post a fully complete, correctly filled out form wins! Generally you will be disqualified from FCFS competitions if you edit your post- even if you did manage to post before anyone else!
Raffle - A competition wherein users may post a form, usually with a set end date or end page, and once the end condition is met, every user who entered the competition has a chance to win!
Prompt - A competition wherein the Artist details a prompt that users must fulfill in order to try to win the Adopt. Prompt competitions will have a set end date or end page. After the end condition is met, the entries are assessed and the winner is decided by the artist.
There can be other competition types as well, these are just the main three you will likely see here in CMR! One last thing to know is that for each page of replies an adopt has, the artist will grant one Honorable Mention! These Honorable Mentions can be traded in for custom slots- you can read more about that system on the Inventory Management Thread!
━━━━━━━━━━ Customs ━━━━━━━━━━CMR's Artists will occassionally open Custom Slots, which are openings in which players can post Custom Forms. In order to have a Custom made, you must either have a Custom Slot of the correct rarity, or pay the Artist the direct cost of the Custom Slot.
Custom Slots can be earned through collecting Honorable Mentions or can be bought on the Inventory Management Thread.
Customs come in the same rarities (Whatever those will be, I'll hash that out when it is not 2am) as adopts can, with higher rarity custom slots costing more C$.
If you want to order a Custom of a high rarity, but only have Custom Slots of lower rarity, you can choose to use your Custom Slot and directly pay the Artist the difference.
If an Artist has opened Customs, you may post the form below to claim a custom. Remember, if you do not own a Custom Slot, you will have to pay the artist directly with C$!

Artist: (list the name of the artist you are posting the form for!)
Custom Rarity: (Standard, Common, Uncommon, Rare or Very Rare)
Payment Method: (You can specify if you are going to pay the artist directly, or use a custom slot from your inventory!)
Desired Design: (Describe the pattern/design you want! This can be inspired by any real world animal- mammals, birds, reptiles, etc! Your artist will assign genetics to the design after it is complete.)
Standard Traits: (List any standard traits you wish for the artist to include, i.e. "Pointed Feather Tufts". If you want a custom version of a standard trait, list it in the Desired Custom Traits below instead.)
Desired Custom Traits: (List any custom traits you wish for the artist to include, optionally with examples! Make sure to keep in mind the rarity of your slot- the more of the lineart you erase, redraw, or edit, the rarer your slot needs to be! Only Very Rare raptors may be "Custom Lined" i.e. entirely custom/new art that does not use the CMR base at all.)
━━━━━━━━━━ MYOs ━━━━━━━━━━No adopts catch your fancy, having trouble catching an Artist's open Custom Slots, or maybe you just want to design your Raptor yourself? If so, you can use any Custom Slot you own as a MYO slot instead!
Players may post a MYO form at any point, as long as they have a Custom Slot of the corresponding rarity that they wish to use. After you post your MYO form, you will be added to the Color-In list here on the Main Thread, so you can create your MYO.
Once your MYO is posted and confirmed, your custom slot will be removed from your inventory, and, provided you do not have any more pending MYOs, you will be removed from the main thread.
If you would like to make your MYO Off-Oekaki, that option is currently unavailable (will be added soon).
Do note that even if you design your MYO Off-Oekaki, you
must still post the form below, and you
must still make a color-in of the main thread (even if you just make a sketch/cover for your MYO) so that your MYO is assigned an ID number and recognized as official.
If you'd like to make a MYO and have your Custom Slot ready, you can post the form below!

Planned Design: (Describe the pattern/design you are planning to make! This can be inspired by any real world animal- mammals, birds, reptiles, etc! Staff will assign genetics to the design after it is complete.)
Planned Standard Traits: (List any standard traits you plan on including, i.e. "Pointed Feather Tufts". If you plan on drawing a custom version of a standard trait, list it in the Planned Custom Traits below instead.)
Planned Custom Traits: (List any custom traits you plan to include, optionally with examples of what the edits will look like! Make sure to keep in mind the rarity of your slot- the more of the lineart you erase, redraw, or edit, the rarer your slot needs to be! Only Very Rare raptors may be "Custom Lined" i.e. entirely custom/new art that does not use the CMR base at all.)

Are These a Closed Species? No, these are just Utahraptor adopts. However, in order to use a design in our adopt center (such as using it in the hatchery or to earn rewards from one of our events), it has to have an officially numbered entry/adopt page here under the main thread, to track it's ownership, genetics, and other info. We ask that other adopt centers do not copy our basic system of genetics, trace our art, or copy our layouts, but we (obviously) do not claim to own the concept of Utahraptors.
