Fables reproduce via magic at enchanted locations called nurseries.
A nursery may appear randomly in any location, and can be used until the magic is sapped.
Fables born here often exhibit new traits and themed designs.

Beyond the bramble walls lies a hallowed grove, quiet save for the sound of the rustling breeze.
The grove is encircled by huge monoliths carved with runes that glow softly in the twilight.
Fallen leaves of every color blanket the ground, arranged in strange spiraling patterns.

✦ GUIDELINES

• Each individual fable has 3 nursery (breeding) slots.
• Each individual user can receive 2 fables from this fall nursery (not including ticket customs).
• Nurseries are seasonal, and a new one will appear eventually! This topic will not be reused next year.

✦ HOW TO

• Artists will post on the thread and when opening slots with a form to fill out.
• Openings might be fcfs, raffle, non-owner only, etc.
• Most forms will ask you to include one thing (trait, pattern, or colors/vibe) to include and one thing to omit. Available traits are here!

• You can specify a trait by name or say things like “any horn”, “feathered type wings”, “wavy traits”.
• Please be sure to refer to the traits/trait categories by their correct names to avoid any confusion.
• These choices are guaranteed (according to the artist's interpretation) unless custom traits.
• Custom traits/extras pass at the artist’s discretion. If it does pass the trait won’t be an exact copy, it’s the artist’s choice how to draw it and it may also be influenced by the nursery theme.
• You can allow another user to use one of your fables for a breeding that you are not involved in, provided they include permission in the form and it does not break any other nursery rules (this is similar to 'lending slots' in other species). The permission must be updated and current for each opening, if it was from a prior nursery it's no longer valid. It will still use a breeding slot from said fable.

✦ NON-OWNERS can get their first fable from the nursery and are not required to have a parent fable. They can only receive one non-owner slot.
✦ OWNERS use a nursery slot from one of their fables. This fable serves as the "parent", and the offspring will share some traits with it, while also being influenced by the nursery theme. All parent fables need to be official and approved prior to posting a form.
✦ ANYONE can redeem 🎟️ tickets here as semi-customs. The 2-per-person limit does not apply to ticket customs. Tickets can be redeemed when an artist opens slots unless the artist specifies otherwise.
✦ TWINS is a special type of opening where two parent fables create two offspring, "twins". The offspring will have aspects from both parents, but can also be influenced by the nursery theme. It uses a nursery slot from both parent fables.

• Each offspring must go to a different user! Usually this means each parent owner gets one, but it is acceptable to breed two of your fables together as long as one twin goes to another user/is adopted out. Owner of the other twin may not enter or win said competition.
• Each user can only participate in one pairing per each opening (participation counts as receiving a twin).
• Proof of the agreement will be needed.
• Offspring are not required to be related to their parents in lore, but fables still can't be bred to their close relatives.

Also I have said it like twice already and never got around to it but my next opening will be for twins. Big big preference for pairs that are existing couples with lore together. I’m very excited to do this next!
