Honey
True to her name, Honey is the perfet example of the wonderful personality her breed is known for.
Insanely gentle and super sweet, this chestnut mare was born in captivity and trained early to be a carriage horse. With a naturally smooth gate and willingness to work, Honey has always been a crowd favorite, working everything from parades to tourist rides. Even as a yearling she displayed a calm, patient demeanor, and took to "spook training" (desensitization) with an easy grace. She's handled some of the loudest, most obnoxious locations with ease, stunning both civilians and professional horse trainers alike.
In her advancing years, she's been taken off "rougher" jobs, remaining a carriage horse for special events like weddings, but has also moved into a new era of her life: Therapy. Honey enjoys a partial retirement as a therapy horse for children, allowing them to brush her coat and braid her hair as part of their daily therapy sessions. She adores her kids and all of the attention she gets, so in her opinion, she's got it pretty good!
