Astel
Astel was bred in captivity from a long line of show barbs, known for their competitive disposition and flashy coats. He led a pampered foalhood, spoiled rotten and adored up until the day he became a yearling; from there, training began, and he relished in the challenge and discipline. By the time he was three, he was taking Junior classes by storm, excelling in both show jumping and dressage. By five, Astel had already made a name for himself on the International Circuit, out competing even some of the finest warmbloods and even many of the Thoroughbreds, despite being a touch shorter than most of his competitors.
Now at seven, his owners have started backing him off the more intensive circuits, unwilling to risk his health as he starts to get older. He does still compete, as that's his one true love in life, just on smaller international circuits with longer rest periods between. Due to his success and talent, Astel now also excels as a stud, hopefully producing the next line of Barb competitors to take the world by storm.
