Dappled Blue Taffy with Bald Face
Santana was as wild as her name suggests. She was also quite fast. As lead mare of her herd, she took no bull from the stallion. As lead mare, it was her duty to lead the herd and it was his to protect it. There were times he could lead to different areas but it was mostly her job. When her life mate was defeated by a younger stallion, she stayed with her herd but let the young stallion know what the pecking order was. She wasn't going to let him boss her around or replace her. She knew all the good winter, summer, spring, and fall spots. She also knew where to take the herd during the roundups. Seldom was her herd ever caught. It was only due to the young stallion that they were caught and Esper along with other yearlings as well as the young stallion got caught. She and some of the others were released. They would then merge with the remaining horses from other herds and form a larger one with her still as lead mare. She kept hoping find her life mate and one day she did as he once more claimed his place as the stallion of her herd.
