He's capable of gaining a brief acknowledgement from others when he deliberately approaches or makes physical contact - but moments after he begins making conversation with another, they begin to forget he even exists.
Only those of the Speaker class - the ones with the strongest connection to the stars - seem to recognize his presence as any normal cat would. But that doesn't make his existence any less uncanny when even prey seems to just walk into his claws without realizing he was there.
