intro wrote:The past several decades have brought some interesting changes to the planet. Strange creatures began to make an appearance, and speculation grew throughout the population on where these beings had come from. Some believed them to be aliens, others assumed that it was some sort of genetic mutation in Earth's current inhabitants. Scientists were baffled, and could do nothing more than research without explanation. Over time, many of these species integrated themselves into the world, and many have accepted them as though they've always been here.

cross-species traits wrote:Edits are tailored to each species; not all species will have all edits! However, this doesn't mean they're not possible (see legendary traits). Edits may occasionally be added as seen fit. Just because an edit "technically" follows guidelines, does not mean that it cannot be nullified. For example, "muzzle edit" does not mean that you can make an anteater with a snout as long as the body. There
is quite a bit of leniency with traits, as they're meant to be interpreted by the artist, but use common sense, and please ask questions if you're unsure.
non-rarity traits: these edits can be applied to any rarity and any species
stylistic edits (including custom lines), weight, scars/disabilities, colored pupils/sclera, heterochromia, pupil shape, eyebrow shape, items, companions
legendary traits:
Any species with edits that are not listed will be considered legendary. While there are no banned legendary traits, they will still have to be approved beforehand. Legendary traits are typically reserved for milestones, events, and special staff or community thank-yous.
event traits:
During events, special event traits are possible. This may include a single edit or a group of edits that make a sub-species.
lemmits wrote:Lemmits, sometimes called "lemms", are semi-arboreal mammals distantly related to lemurs. They are slightly larger than their relatives, but share much of their curious, social, and intelligent disposition. They can express a wide variety of emotions in the way they move, particularly with their large ears and long tails. They are capable of several distinct vocalizations, as well as a few that individuals or groups have learned from other animals. While they are occasionally found alone, most Lemmits live in communities, some even choosing other species as their family members. Much of their time is spent in the trees of jungles or thick woods, and thus they are very quick and agile in branches, but certain groups have been found to prefer other habitats, especially those that choose other groups or have become reliant on humans. Their diet consists of mainly fruit, seeds, leaves, and insects.
common: small teeth/tusks, larger claws, curled tail, tail tuft edit, minor fur edits (including ear fur), whiskers
uncommon: ear or tail edits (still long), large fur edits
rare: short ears or tail, horns/antlers, feather growth, small/flightless wings
banderfloof wrote:Banderfloof are large, stocky mammals usually possessing a gentle and non-confrontational demeanor. In the wild, they're mainly found on plains and parries, but can live anywhere with an abundance of grasses or hay. They typically have fluffy manes and tails of various lengths, large paws and pads, and a variety of head shapes. Banderfloof are commonly utilized as farm animals or companions, capable of light farm chores including mounting, carrying loads, and pulling carts or plows. They make excellent, child-friendly pets, but their large size makes them difficult to care for in populated areas.
common: head shape (curved/more pointed, muzzle length, etc.), horns, mane/tail (any length/style, must be furred), nose (still slit-like), mouth/teeth edit, minor body fur edit
uncommon: ears, no mane, hairless tail, nose (mammal-like/other), major body fur edit
rare: sphynx, munchkin, small/flightless wings
antameleons wrote:Antameleon, abbreviated "ants", are a strange breed of reptiles ranging in size from that of a weasel to that of a domestic cat. They have long limbs and a slender build, which helps them with their speed and agility. While they are capable of short bursts of high speed, useful for catching prey or making a quick escape, much of their time is spent sleeping or sunbathing. Their antennae are useful for both communication and improving their sense of smell. Ants are great trackers, able to follow a scent trail from weeks prior. They are opportunist both in diet and habitat, eating anything that's available and often making home in other species' abandoned nests. Their long tails help them balance and can also be whipped at an opponent in defense. Like most lizards, they are capable of regrowth, though may not regrow quite the same.
common: antennae edits (must be 1-2 pairs), scales, horns (head only), minor ears (same style, longer, shorter, curved, flopped, etc), mouth edits, claw edit
uncommon: small fur edits (>25% of body, can include ears, tail, mane, etc), major ear, body horns/spikes
rare: no antennae, insect wings, extra eyes/legs/tail (1 set only)
bastuks wrote:Bastuks are aquatic mammals with thick, water resistant fur and muscular bodies. They are found along most coasts around the world, excluding the Arctic and Antarctic, and can occasionally be found further upstream in rivers. Their diet is primarily carnivorous, though some have taken a liking to various plant life. They are excellent hunters and divers, able to hold their breath for nearly an hour, and use their high endurance while chasing prey. Like seals, they retain heat through their blubber and enjoy sunbathing on the shores. Bastuks have tusks of various lengths, depending on age, habitat, genetics, and wear. They've been found to be highly curious creatures, often seeking interactions with humans and other animals, but their mischievous antics make them unpredictable.
common: tusks/teeth/tongue, claws, whiskers, ear (still small)
uncommon: long ears, longer fur, minor tail edits, fins/scales/other minor fish parts (not whole body)
rare: different tail type (fish, shark, etc.), front flippers, bioluminescence
