The highly distinguished Range Trotter Breeders Association is once again offering their best of the best. This year's
Sweetheart Event is bigger and better than ever, with booths offering both mystery foals from foundation
stock and stunning new imported adult founders!

EVENT RULES

❤︎ The Bakery Booth adopts will be "foals" that are hidden until they are "born." Like buying a foal in utero (i.e. before it's born), these adopts will be a mystery until a winner is selected. You will be able to see the parents, and apply for adoption based on their potential genetic combinations. Foals may also feature exclusive Valentine's Day markings.
❤︎ Sweets Shop adopts will be typical event adopt style and may feature exclusive Valentine's Day markings.
❤︎ Follow all CS and Range Trotter rules! This includes common courtesies, such as complaining, guilt-tripping, etc.
❤︎ Everyone is welcome to participate! Established community members, new discoverers, anyone who wants to jump in.
❤︎ There is no limit to how many trotters you may win from this event, but please be courteous of others.
❤︎ This event will run from February 10th to February 28th, no more event trotters will be made after this period.

ARTIST RULES

❤︎ Bakery Booth adopts must link the parents and be hidden under a foal cover until they are "born."
❤︎ Any foals born will not count against the parent's breeding slots.
❤︎ Additional edits from parents may pass at artist's discretion in the Bakery Booth.
❤︎ No "build-a-trotter" or semi-custom prompts.
❤︎ Artists may make a total of 4 artist customs (2 customs per booth) at a 2:1 ratio.
❤︎ Artist have a month to complete personal customs after the event's conclusion.

[size=85][center][quote]Range Trotters are the result of crossbreeding Orlov Trotters, Finnhorses, Welsh Cobs (section C & D) and Hanoverians. Later crosses of Quarter Horses, Paint and Appaloosas to gain color and to give a boost to their hardiness.With a height average of 13-15 hands, they're a hardy breed with characteristics for various disciplines.

Created for use as work, carriage and leisure riding horses originally, they now serve as long-distance range horses, such as work with Park Rangers and mounted officers.

Willing and eager personalities, most are quickly trained to be bombproof and therefore trusted mounts in all lines of work; some are being seen in local show jumping competitions, others are notably used in therapeutic sessions for their calm temperaments. Harness races and endurance trials are common for the breed, as they are able to sustain an extended trot without tire. Cross-Country competitions see some of the taller Trotters, but due to their cob lineage this is still uncommon.

Despite the variety of competitions and work these horses are being seen in, they are still famously skilled as endurance racers. Many competitors have chosen Range Trotters due to their tireless work ethic, as well as the ease in which they can be trained. Many have become champions in endurance trials, and they have quickly become a sought after breed for their natural ability.[/quote][/center]

EVENT MARKINGS


Blusher | common | BlBl / Blbl
A minute gene that adds a faint pink tint to the face of the horse, typically centered on the cheek to give the appearance of blushing.

Rose Petal | common | Cr_ RpRp / Rprp
A manipulation of the Cream gene. Tints the points of an affected horse a pink (nRp) or red hue (RpRp), and dilutes the body as Cream would. Double dilutes will likewise be extremely pale, but keep the tinted points in a much softened value (10-15%).

Koibito | common | Bu_ + Koibito
Transforms Bunder into Bunder Hearts when both are present.

Amore | uncommon | Lp_ + Amore
A manipulation of the Leopard complex. When present, typical Appaloosa marking will take on a distinct heart-shaped appearance. This will effect all variations of the complex to some degree.

Cherub Overo | uncommon | Oo CoCo / Coco
A subtype of Overo in which the white marking forms a shape reminiscent of a wing on the horse's barrel. This can be stylized or simple, but is restricted to the main body of the horse.

Cupid Tobiano | uncommon | To_ CuCu / Cucu
A subtype of Tobiano that effects the markings of the shoulder, creating a "Cupid's Bow" from the withers to the elbow. This may or may not also show an "arrow" shaped streak running laterally along the horse's body.

Eros Tovero | uncommon | To_ Oo CoCu / CuCo
Cherub and Cupid are codominant, and will combine to form an "Eros Tovero", where both the wing and the bow marking are present.

Bubbly Splash | uncommon | Spl_ BubBub / Bubbub
Bubbly Splash is a variant of the Splash marking, following the traditional "dipped" look seen in Splash White horses. Hollow white "bubbles" extend past the top edge of the marking, and round spots of white are deleted from the white on the lower portions of the marking, creating a look of champagne bubbles running through the white marks.

Gold | rare | AuAu / Auau
Gold, like Silver, is a dilution that only affects horses with Extension (EE/Ee) in their genomes. The mane and tail become washed out in a pale golden hue, and the coat will be diluted to a deep burnt-golden or chocolate tint.

Fate Thread | rare | Dr_ FtFt / Ftft
A thin, red line that begins on one leg and may twist or wrap around the rest of the horse's body in patterns of various intricacy. A variation of Drizzle.

Sweetheart BC/Grease Spots | rare | + Sweetheart BC/GS
Changes the expression of grease marks and birdcatcher spots to hearts. Passes separately from the originating genes.

Bouquet | Limited | BqBq / Bqbq
Creates patterns reminiscent of roses concentrated on the hindquarters of the horse. These markings will be a few shades lighter or darker than the base coat, and will not extend past the shoulder or stifle. Small patterns may occur on the face, but is less common.

Butterfly BC/Grease Spots | +Butterfly BC/Grease Spots (Step 8: White Markings) new!
This gene modifies birdcatcher and grease spots to look like butterflies. They should be small and relatively simple in design.

Dipped | +Dipped (Step 8: White Markings) new!
Causes white paint and appaloosa markings to turn a delicious shade of chocolatey brown or caramel. Dipped can turn the mane/tail a chocolate/caramel color if the marking touches it, and may be seen with mapping like normal white markings.

Layer Cake | LaLa / Lala | (Step 4: Markings B) new!
A marking that creates a minimum of two horizontal stripes of colors, reminiscent of a layer cake. Heterozygous expression will be lighter OR darker stripes, not both. Homozygous expression will have lighter and darker layers.

Sprinkles | +Sprinkles (Step 9: Over/Under White Markings) new!
Adds markings all over the body of the horse that look like sprinkles. Sprinkle "flavors" may only come in chocolate, vanilla, strawberry or rainbow (a combo of all three flavors).

Icing | IceIce / Iceice (Step 9: Over White Markings) new!
A marking that looks like different colored icing dripping from the topline of the horse. Can affect mane/tail color if it touches. Comes in various naturally colored "flavors" such as chocolate, strawberry, lemon, or vanilla.
