but im done with the bases (i can't stand the constant struggle of trying to drawing the perfect lineart) - closed because I still need to make the genetic variations n such aka traits + shading *cry* (for clarification, sevossi is my TH user, that's why I use both FauxFeather and Sevossi/Sev as my signature)

Otter Cats

Otter Cats are a newly discovered and frequently poached mammal hybrid species from the lutridae and felidae strains. In certain areas, they are an invasive species(therefore the poaching), but here at Chicken Smoothie they blend in with the local ecosystem. How they came to be is unknown (fannon: lol river clan warrior cats go brr). However they can be tamed and we here at Faux's Felines For Adoption regularly rescue and relocate them, our Sister Location (lolfnaf- business also owned by FauxFeather) Sevossi's Ottercat Breeding Center often has litters for adoption and offers the services of a safe breeding location.

I know many people don't consider mashing together two species and calling it a closed species okay due to being reported or harassed for having a character that resembles a closed species. I don't care if your character resembles the ottercats, currently they're literally just otters and cats mashed together. I haven't fully thought out or drawn out anything extra in terms of world building, so yeah, right now they're probably looking similar to your hybrid OC. And they probably will continue to as well. But the world of Ottercats is what I want to build and focus on, the different genotypes and fenotypes, their diet, potentially new hybrid species within their world. I've even got plans of introducing other aspects after certain events. I'm getting a bit off track here, but my point is, I do not endorse any harassment of any kind. Period. Refer to this if you ever get attacked for having an OC or art that looks similar to an otter and cat hybrid.

Looking for: (prone to change)
- There are currently 5 ottercat lines/poses, and the one labeled "oc2" is really bad by my personal standards, but I currently lack the skills to fix it- so I'm begging for help with that one (up for interpretation, though it was drawn with the idea of it leaning towards the otter genes)
- I need traits drawn ex. fur, but I'm pretty bad at hair. (a full list of traits is available below)
- New poses/lines (doesn't have to follow my style exactly, just has to resemble the species)
- Able to do a variety of (cat) patterns (stripes, tortoiseshell, calico, bicolor, painted, van, special marks like stars or hearts)

Note: If you choose to add traits, you don't have to do all of them, just choose a category (fur, tail, etc. or Cat, Otter, Mutation). Don't worry about future/new lines, they aren't available in this artist search, and I/we will update the new lines ourselves.

There are no colouring restrictions, it would just be considered a mutation if it's an unnatural colour like green, purple, or pink.
Normal colour schemes for otters are black, and various shades of brown and white. Normal colour schemes for cats are white, red/orange, blue, black, cream, cinnamon, fawn, and brown.
