What are Highland Percherons?
Highland Percherons are a breed of horse originating from the Scottish Highlands and are a combination of Percherons, Shires, and Friesians. Known for their strength and willingness to work, these horses are quickly becoming a popular breed amongst the rest of the world and can be used for work, as well as making good trail and show horses.
These horses are large, standing on average 15hh - 18hh and can be very unruly without a strong handler. Due to this, there are handlers that keep herds of wild Highland Percherons. They are not a remarkably aggressive breed, but their size and strength makes them challenging when it comes to breaking. Highland's, once trained, tend to be very gentle to other animals and humans, making them great working horses and companions.
Artist search! This is a super laid back species, please go to the main page and read about them. I'm just looking for people who occasionally (or often) want to make some pretty horses. I do require you to put pheno/geno on your horses, make as many entries as you'd like. These are not shaded and have no edits, I just want to see your ability to make horses look good. These horses have no special genetics right now, but a basic gene guide is on the main page.
If you come from another species and we've worked together, just message me and I can add you to the main lines <3
