- Artist Search Rules:
- Artists are expected to follow all the chicoon guidelines
- Do not remove the "Fake" layer provided on the canvas
- In order for a chicoon (made through this Artist Search) to be able to participate in the species, it requires a myo with the correct traits available, and an approval form submitted on the Archive currently the archive is closed so forms can not be submitted yet. users will need to wait until after the species reopens in order to submit artist search designs as myos.
- A claimed artist search design must be submitted to the archive within a month of being claimed. This does not apply to the artist who made the design. Unposted designs will be available for reclaim at the designers' discretion.
- Users who are claiming a design should have an MYO or items in their inventory to cover the MYO archive submission. Artists can claim their own entry with or without the MYO/items, but will be required to have them while submitting the MYO archive approval.
- Artists who are uncomfortable about the thought of chicoon designs being resold (whether for a higher price, alternative currencies, with other art, or for other reasons) should not apply to the Chicoon Artist Search.
- Artist Search Entries cannot currently be sold upon creation.
- Please include all traits on the artist search application design; non-rarity, common, uncommon, and rare.
- This artist search is not for Companion species, please do not include them in your entry
- This artist search is not for event or god traits, please do not include them in your entry.
- Artists are required to have a discord
- Artists can not be part of the Chickensmoothie User groups: Registered COPPA Users or Newly Registered Users
- Chicoons are currently not looking for off-oekaki designers, however, I incline you to look at our item artist position
- Users who are seen to be active in the discord and community are higher candidates for the Artist positions
- During this search; chicoon moderators are looking at your ability to edit lineart with precision and clarity, the color choices you make, and the readability of the designs.
- Users are welcome to submit custom-lined chicoons, however, your entry may be judged based on your ability to accurately represent the chicoon species' anatomy as well as your other abilities
- Entries are welcome to have any of the backgrounds available through the competition
- Our lineart uses the Pen tool, size 1 brush with full opacity & pen pressure toggled on for opacity and size! However, without pen pressure size 2 pen is recommended.
- There is no limit to the number of entries you can make; however, it is recommended to make at least one heavily-edited design with simple markings and one lightly-edited design with complicated markings.
- if a design has a lot of accessories please provide a reference with them removed as well
- for any questions or concerns please dm a moderator of the species.
- Buzz Aesthetic will contact users about their artist applications if they are being considered for an artist position.
- Users who were previously Artists, or entered previous artist searches are welcome to reapply!
