Rules
- Basic1. All Chickensmoothie rules apply, both on and offsite. All content created of Tekolfs must be kept child friendly and adhere to Chickensmoothie rules, regardless of whether or not it is posted on CS.
- 1A. Be kind and respectful to everyone. Harassment or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.
- 1B. Do not guilt-trip, complain about prices or beg for free items or Tekolfs. Saying something like "aw man i missed the raffle, congrats everyone!" would be acceptable, while something like "man i wish i could just win one adopt, i never win any of them" would not be allowed. You are allowed to feel frustrated, but please do not make others feel bad about winning a Tekolf or item you wanted and keep such thoughts in private spaces.2. Tekolfs are a closed species, meaning you are not permitted to make your own without the use of an MYO (Make your own) ticket. MYOs can be obtained via the shop page, or handed out as runner-up prizes for adopt competitions if desired by the artist.
3. Your Chickensmoothie account must be at least 2 months old and have some proof of activity on it, be it posts on the CS forums or activity on a website linked to your CS account, to participate in the species. You will not be allowed to obtain any Tekolfs if your account is under 2 months old and/or completely inactive.
4. Tekolfs are not allowed to be co-owned. There can only be a singular owner for a Tekolf at any given time.
- To obtain a Tekolf, you must have an archive to store them in. This can be a toyhou.se folder or a Chickensmoothie topic. If your archive is on toyhou.se, please ensure that your account is child friendly. If it is not, create a child friendly alt account or store your Tekolfs on a Chickensmoothie topic instead.
- In your archive, you are required to list your Tekolf's image, designer, and either the Tekolf's masterlist ID or the post that you obtained the Tekolf from. Any additional information is optional.
- Archives must be kept relatively up to date with the Tekolfs you own. If you have 2 or more Tekolfs not uploaded to your archive, then you will not be permitted to obtain more until your archive is up to date. This is just to ensure that the designs will be archived somewhere and not simply forgotten about.
- There is no limit to the amount of Tekolfs you may own, as long as they are properly archived.
- If a Tekolf's designer has you blacklisted, you are not allowed to enter for or win any of their designs. If you are seen entering for a Tekolf created by an artist that has you blacklisted, you will be warned that you are blacklisted by the artist and you are not permitted to enter for their Tekolf designs. If you attempt to enter for a second design from the same artist, you will be placed on the ban list.
- If you are blacklisted by a Tekolf artist, you are still allowed to participate in the species as long as you aren't banned from the species as a whole.
- Trading- You must wait at least 2 weeks before trading a Tekolf that you have received. If you are not sure you will connect with a design, then it's better to not enter for it.
- Any Tekolfs that you do not get to see the design of prior to obtaining, such as a PYOP, surprise adopt, or a nursery batch, only have a trading cooldown of 1 week. Since you cannot properly determine whether or not you'll connect with the design before receiving it, there is more leniency for these types of designs.
- All Tekolf trades and gifts must be posted under the shop thread, using the trading form available there, and then approved by the owner of the species. The transfer of the Tekolfs and/or items will not be official until approved.
- Tekolfs may be traded for art, other Tekolfs, other characters that are Chickensmoothie friendly, Chickensmoothie pets, items or c$, any Tekolf items/MYOs, and Tekcoins, the species currency. They are not permitted to be sold for any real-life currency, regardless of their value.
- Tekolfs may not be sold for anything higher than their worth. If a Tekolf was received for free, then you are only allowed to give it away for free. If a Tekolf receives extra art that was either paid for or made by yourself, then you may add that art to the Tekolf's overall value, allowing you to sell it for more. You are still not allowed to sell Tekolfs for real-life currency, even if you commission an art piece of your Tekolf with real-life currency.
- Tekolfs may not be traded, gifted, or otherwise given to any users on the ban list. Please be careful with who you trade Tekolfs with, as giving designs to anyone on the ban list will result in the trade being reversed and you being placed on the ban list immediately.
- If you are banned, your Tekolfs will not be revoked. You may choose to either keep them or give them out for free to the community. Your items may also be given out for free if you desire, but otherwise will be erased entirely and will not be able to be used again. Any Tekolfs you keep as a banned user will no longer be an official part of the species, and will be removed from the masterlist.
- The only time your Tekolfs will be "revoked" is if they are traded to a banned user. In this case, the trade will be reversed and the Tekolfs placed back in your ownership before you yourself are banned. The only reason the trade will be reversed is because banned users are not permitted to obtain more Tekolfs than the ones they had at the time of being banned, making the trade an invalid and non-legitimate way of obtaining the design.
- You are not allowed to transfer Tekolfs out of the species. If you no longer wish to be part of the species, then consider gifting or trading your Tekolfs away.
- Do not send unsolicited trade requests to users with Tekolfs you want. If it is not specifically listed somewhere that the Tekolf is for sale, then don't try to offer on it.
- Design editing- Tekolfs are not permitted to have their designs changed, unless using edit items or using the revamp available every 6 months.
- Tekolfs may be revamped every 6 months. The design must stay recognizable, but markings may be changed and the color palette can be shifted a small amount. Revamps can only be done on Tekolfs that you yourself designed, or if you get direct permission from the designer of the Tekolf to redesign it. If you cannot get permission from the Tekolf's designer, then you are not allowed to revamp it.
- Artist rules- There is no minimum amount of adopts that must be created per month, and you have no obligation to be very active as an artist. The role is mostly for the fun of designing Tekolfs if you feel like it.
- You will be paid in species currency depending on how many adopts you make and what type of adopt they are. Paid designs will yield you no species currency, as you are already being paid for the design, but free adopts will give you (x) Tekcoins per (x) adopts made.
- Putting limits on gender, pronouns, orientation etc. for Tekolf adopts is not permitted. Tekolfs are an LGBTQIA+ friendly species, and the winner of the design must be permitted to have the Tekolf identify as whatever they wish, so long as it is not an inherently harmful identity or against Chickensmoothie rules.
- Paid adopts cannot be sold for real-life currency. Acceptable payments for an adopt consists of art, Chickensmoothie friendly character designs/other Tekolfs, Tekolf items/MYOs or Tekcoins, and Chickensmoothie pets, items, or C$.
- All Tekolf adopts must contain the following in their entry codes:
- Code: Select all
Participant archive ID:
A participant archive ID is required to partake in the species and enter for adopts, and can be obtained by posting the form on the main page.
- Artists are required to add the winner of a Tekolf design to its oekaki page, or in the case of off-oekaki adopts, provide an unshaded/unwatermarked/separated etc. image of the Tekolf if applicable.
- If there is a lack of entries by the time a Tekolf adopt's competition/raffle/auction/etc. ends, the artist may extend the end date for the adopt by however long they would like within reason. 1-2 weeks is an acceptable timeframe, but extending the end date by 2 months would be far too much.
- If a Tekolf adopt goes unobtained for a month after the initial end date, the artist is allowed to keep the design, so long as there are no entries on the Tekolf. If there are any entries at all then the artist is not allowed to keep the Tekolf design.
- If a Tekolf adopt goes unobtained for a month after the initial end date and there are 3 or more entries on it, then the competition is required to end and a winner to be picked. The end date can be extended further if there are less entries if desired, but once 3 separate people enter then it must end by this point.
- Adopts should be judged and a winner picked within a week of the end date, provided the competition is ended and not extended further. If complications come up that prevent you from judging the adopt in time, please notify the species owner. Alternatively, request the species owner to judge the competition for you.
- If a month has gone by since a Tekolf adopt has reached its end date but has yet to have its winner announced, the species owner will step in and judge it in place of the original artist. However, if the artist of the Tekolf reaches out to the species owner specifying that they cannot judge it in time and that they need more time to get around to it, then the artist will be allowed to judge their own adopt despite the time passed.
Rules may be added, removed, or changed around at any time.

Banned Users
Do NOT attack or harass anyone on this list. This list is only here so you know which users cannot be traded, gifted or otherwise given Tekolfs.
Any users on the species owner's blacklist are banned from the species by default.
