Introduction:
The Magic of Hunters is a Hybrid magic of Faunal/Blood. It's users have all the skills of the Blood Magic Users in hunting but also have a deep seeded understanding of the circle of life and the food chain, leaving them deeply connected with the creatures in the forest. This connection gives them insight into what to target in the forests around them to sustain the carnivores of their communities. It additionally gives them an understanding of what creatures shouldn't be left unchecked as they have no natural predators. This connection also allows them to charm those creatures into their traps at higher levels of magic expression, weaving an understanding of what the best place for the creature will be for the greater good of the wilderness. Their Irises come in shades of Hunter's Green with Swirled Pupils that are the midpoint between Faunal and Blood colors.
Novice use of this magic consists of summoning narrow ""scent trails" that direct to the nearest injured prey. These trails can often be difficult to follow due to the user just starting to become in tune with the world around them, sometimes completely petering off before the user can find where it's leading.
Advanced use of this magic will have more clear ""scent trails" that lead directly to the nearest injured or sick prey. These trails are more robust now, and are a little easier to follow. Occasionally they will still peter out before the user can find the end. At this level users are just starting to be able to charm prey that is already weak, not enough to sway it's wills but enough to put them at ease.
Adept use of this magic will have even more clear ""scent trails"" that lead directly to the nearest injured, sick or invasive prey. These trails are mostly robust now and rarely peter out before the user can find their end. At this level uses are improving greatly at charming prey that is weak, and starting to be able to charm prey that is not weakened. They can put their prey at ease with more success.
Master use of this magic will have very clear ""scent trails" that leas directly to the nearest injured, sick or invasive prey. These trails are very robust now and never peter out before the user finds their end unless the user choses to give up on that trail. At this level the user can compel prey to follow the user's will and move right into a trap. They can also use this to put prey at complete ease. They cannot compel creatures that are larger than the user or have unusually strong wills.
Paragons of this magic can compel much larger prey to their will then Masters, including creatures larger than them or with unusually strong wills. They are also the only ones able to use this magic to compel other Magic Eye species to bend to their will.
