Welcome To The Holiday MYO Event!
For a limited time, you get to create your very own Sveldala, as a gift from us to you this holiday season. What Are Sveldala Walkers? wrote:Sveldala Walking Equines are a rare and historic horse breed, originating from the remote beaches of Anholt. The first tame SWE was originally caught as a wild injured foal by a young Swedish zoologist that lived in Svedala, a locality in Skåne County, Sweden. From there the entrepreneur bought a small farm in Lilla Sveldala, and began domesticating and breeding the rare species to learn more about their oddities and attempt to increase the dwindling population.
It didn't take long for the intriguing creatures to gain interest on a global scale, and trainers quickly began lining their stalls with the beasts. However, due to their very specific needs, it was nearly impossible to get them to breed outside of the original sanctuary. This in turn caused them to keep their severely endangered status for many many years until more information became available.
Now these equines are being offered to other potential breeders (you) in hopes of making a more stable population. With sanctuaries located all over the world and importing rescues on a massive scale, it's up to us to bring these historic horses out of the very real danger of extinction. For the first time in SWE history, I'd like to welcome you all to a very special make-your-own event! As I was not able to get our usual Yule antlered sveldala adopts out this year, I have decided to open up a short window for everyone to create their own instead. Please be sure to read the rules very very thoroughly, as neglecting to do so will result in a ban from any future MYO opportunities.
This MYO event will be open from 12/25/22 to 01/05/23. No edits or new posts will be permitted outside of that time frame.
1. Each user may make ONE Sveldala for themselves.
2. These Sveldala may be any rarity between common to rare - 'limited' rarities are NOT allowed. Please see here for specialty genes, and here for the rarities of realistic horse genes. You MUST follow the species guidelines when creating your design (ie no fantasy markings/unnatural colors/anything outside of the normally accepted Sveldala genetics).
3. No line edits will be allowed under any circumstances (this includes editing the base lineart, adding scars/injuries, adding tack items/accessories, ect).
4. What you are allowed to edit is the special winter harness item that has been premade for you. These edits must be relatively simple and it cannot be a full re-line. This may include things such as adding extra bells, straps, fabric, spikes/studs, greenery, ornaments, ect ect. Editing the harness is not required by any means.
5. All MYOs must be posted with the harness, edited or not! This is to help distinguish these special MYOs from normal adopts. Please DO NOT REMOVE THE HARNESS.
6. Eye adjustments (altered pupils, colored scelera, added lashes, or edited shine) as well as heterochomia of any kind is perfectly acceptable (see previous adopts to see different eye edits made by each of our different artists for examples - this is done primarily to suit your individual style).
7. You may post with or without the background image. Feel free to create your own background scene if you'd like to!
8. If you would like someone else to design your MYO for you, they are free to do so. You may hire someone for any form of payment they accept. Just ensure they post who the Sveldala belongs to in the description and make sure you post your MYO approval form on that page as soon as possible.
9. Once your sveldala is complete, please post them with the 'awaiting approval' cover. You may NOT remove this cover until a staff member posts stating it is approved.
10. Be sure to add the approval form below to your posted Sveldala for us to check over! Once approved, your SWE will be added to our archives as is, so be sure you are set on your name/gender choices.
