Welcome to Aurora Village, Alaska!
We're a quaint little town situated in the valley below Mount Juniper. You've come at an exciting time! Our town committee has unanimously voted to close the mines. No one is going to miss those sooty tunnels, hurrah! Sadly, the mines did fund our public works. You know there is some hope for us though. Do you know what our townsfolk are passionate about? Dogs! Yes, yes, our committee members believe the future of our town rests on the backs of our furry friends...they just can't agree which furry friends. You see, some believe we should pool our money on sleddogs. Breed our own line that has the strength of the Samoyed yet the energy and drive of the Siberian Husky! We affectionately call them: the Samusky dog. Still other committee members say the show ring has all the potential for earning the cash we need. What better show dog than a Saluki? They exude elegance and glamor, no one can deny! Won't you adopt a dog, whichever breed, and help us fund the restoration of this terrific town? Maybe bring back some of your winnings if you do succeed in the sled races or show ring!

The town committee will humbly answer your questions.
How Do I Adopt A Dog?
First you must have a storage page for your dogs. If you want to participate in the town fundraising start by identifying yourself as a handler. Please fill out the "Handler Application Form" on the Aurora Village Nextdoor post. Once accepted you can fill out adoption forms for any dogs open for adoption. Please read the rules for each open dog carefully before applying.
How Do I Donate To The Town?
Should you win a dog you will be asked if You have a Handler and would like to donate. If yes you will be asked which facility you want your money to go to. The purchase price, $500, is added to whichever facility you specified.
What Are My Donation Options?
If you go to the Aurora Village Stats post you will see every public facility that is accepting donations. You can read what they are fundraising for and how many donations they have received towards their goal.
Can I Split My Donation Up?
Unfortunately facilities accept a minimum donation of $500. So no your adoption fee will go to one place.
Can I Donate More Than $500 At Once?
The town committee has decided all dogs will be sold for a flat fee of $500. However, eventually we may sponsor entry into a sled race or show competition. Those whose dogs place in those contests can donate their much larger prize money to a facility of their choice.
Do I Get Anything Out Of Donating?
Aside from seeing the town grow and thrive there are perks! If you have donated at least $1500 then you can request a dog of your choice from the town committee. You fill out the "Request for Custom Dog" form on the Aurora Village Town Committee post. Note, you must show proof of your donations that add up to $1500.
Can I See Who Else Donated?
Not only are the townsfolk who donated listed by their donation on the Aurora Village Stats post, but you can view all towns people on the Aurora Village Nextdoor post under the Handler List.
Can I Breed My Adopted Dogs?
Unfortunately we do not have a dedicated nursery. We may need more time before we set up such an establishment. However, do note that we will only welp purebred litters. We will announce whenever a nursery is set up for townsfolk to use.
Anything Else?
Did this answer all your questions? If not any questions at all about the species can be posted on the Aurora Village Town Committee post.
