Heartlands Terriers are a small terrier type dog originally bred in the mid to late 1800s. They were bred to hunt and kill vermin on homesteads in the American frontiers, as well as alert to any serious predators. While the original dogs were tenacious and stubborn, more recent specimens are being bred to have friendlier demeanors. They are still considered difficult to train, but well trained individuals can be a wonderful addition to any active family or kennel.
Coat wise, they come in both a smooth and wire coat. While most commonly found to have tan points and high white, they can be any color and most patterns recognized in standard dog breeds. Most notably, they do not come in merle. They are known to have a few rather unique markings that are outside the typical dog patterns.

Species

» Dogs up for adoption will have a colored background
» Adopted dogs can have a harness, collar, or bandana, but it's not required.
»» Dogs can have the preset accesories changed/added as long as the original artist is willing
» kennel thread/pages are not required but needed for competitions and breeding
» sexes cannot be changed once bred, names can be changed any time.
» if your banned you dogs will be marked deceased
»» you can transfer the design out of the species only with the artist permission
Trading
» Dogs can be traded for currency (such as C$ USD, etc.), or other dogs/items
» make sure to post updates on the adoption pages
» any titles the dog has earned will stay with that dog and not reset
Breeding
» will officially open after 50 dogs are made and adopted
» dogs have 4 breeding slots
» females have a 15 day cooldown after the breeding is accepted
» pups will grow in 7-12 days
» completely blind or completely deaf dogs will be sterilized
» dogs found to be inbred will also be sterilized
Staff
» there is no requirement for adopt made in any given time
» artist are allowed a custom after every 5 adopts made
»after 2 community litters artist are allowed 1 personal
