Faeretts are a type of fairy! They are mischievous goofballs who get into everything.
These ferret-like critters have multicolored coats with all kinds of neat patterns.
They have sparkly, striped tails that come in many shapes, sizes, and even lengths!
The tail sparkles are called their "glitz" and are unique to each individual Faerett.
Here you can adopt your very own Faeretts, breed them, and even request customs!species concept by Bip, sketch help by Nyarlathotep|Nathan, backgrounds by Buzz Aesthetic

➤ If added to the Oekaki of a Faerett, members may not alter the image in any way without permission. Members are allowed to save transparent or separate images of their Faeretts or save their Faeretts to their own Oekaki galleries if they wish. If a member wants to edit a Faerett, they will need the proper edit items from the Shop first.
➤ Please be respectful to everyone. Bullying and harassment will not be tolerated here. Members are encouraged to contact Chickensmoothie staff if someone is harassing them. Examples of harassment are not taking no for an answer, repeatedly messaging despite being told to leave the person alone, etc.
➤ Do not beg, try to bribe, or otherwise harass the owner or other Faerett staff members.
➤ Do not spam or double post. Take all chats to private messages or the Discord. Saying "mark" on any of the related threads is allowed.
➤ Do not mini-mod. Please let the Faerett staff handle any misbehavior or answer any questions posted. This is to ensure that misbehavior is dealt with properly and questions are answered without the chance of a member giving a wrong answer by mistake.
➤ Do not steal. This includes things such as the lineart, any graphics used in the threads, or Faeretts already owned by someone else. Faerett staff will not hesitate to report members if they are caught stealing.
➤ Members should not whine if they did not get a Faerett they wanted or if there aren't any available. There will be more to try for later, and if there haven't been adopts out in a while it probably means that the artists are busy.
➤ A single Faerett may not be owned by more than one person at a time. This is to help deter drama among members.
➤ Faeretts can be showcased on other websites but must always be credited properly. Please credit Bip for the concept, rainbowpanda101 as the species owner, and the artist who made the design. If posting to another website, such as toyhouse or deviantart, always link back to the Faeretts main thread so others can see where it came from.

➤ Some Faeretts put up for adoption will be available for auction. Winners of these adopts who are paying with C$ must send their winning bid in a ready to accept trade to the artist. Winners of these adopts who are paying with USD must contact the artist on Discord or another website other than Chickensmoothie to discuss where the payment will be sent. Payment must be sent within 3 days of the end of the auction. If a payment is not sent in time, the second highest bid will win instead. The auto-buy purchase of Faeretts will depend on their rarity. Standard will be 100 C$/5 USD. Common will be 200 C$/8 USD. Uncommon will be 300 C$/10 USD. And Rare will be 500 C$/15 USD.
➤ Breeding items are available and can be purchased in the Shop. Shop purchases are placed in the Bank for future use. If a member wants to commission an official artist for a breeding when they have an opening but do not have breeding items at the time their breeding request is accepted by the artist, the member must send payment to the artist in a ready to accept trade for whichever breeding items they want to use before the artist will begin working on the breeding. Payment should be sent within 3 days of the request being accepted, otherwise the artist will cancel the breeding and possibly choose someone else's request to do instead.
➤ Custom and Make Your Own (MYO) Faeretts require the use of a Custom Coin, which can be purchased in the Shop. Shop purchases are placed in the Bank for future use. If a member wants to commission an official Faerett artist when they have an opening but do not have a Custom Coin at the time their custom request is accepted by the artist, the member must send payment to the artist in a ready to accept trade for the correct Custom Coin before the artist will begin working on the custom. Payment should be sent within 3 days of the request being accepted, otherwise the artist will cancel the custom and possibly choose someone else's request to do instead.
➤ Artists will not accept a C$ payment trade until after they have finished a breeding or custom. Cancellation of a trade payment for a breeding or custom done without warning before an artist is finished with the breeding or custom will earn members a strike. If a member needs to back out of getting a custom or breeding, they should contact the artist about it first. Do not cancel or try to edit a trade before talking to the artist first. If it was an honest mistake, resend the exact same trade as soon as possible and explain to the artist in the trade or via private message that it was canceled on accident.

➤ Members can own an unlimited number of Faeretts but should allow others to adopt if they have quite a few already. If the Faeretts staff members begin to notice a trend in certain people winning adopts too often, a monthly adoption limit will be added. This restriction does not include customs, MYOs, or breedings.
➤ Faeretts can be sold, traded, or gifted. There are no restrictions on what Faeretts can be sold or traded for. Members may sell them for C$ or other game currencies, USD or other real world currencies, etc. Members may trade their Faeretts for other Faeretts, for art, other species that allow trading, etc.
➤ Faerett-related items, such as Custom Coins and breeding items, may be sold, traded, or gifted. There are no restrictions on what Faerett-related items can be sold or traded for. Members may sell them for C$ or other game currencies, USD or other real world currencies, etc. Members may trade their Faerett-related items for other Faerett-related items, for art, etc.
➤ Members must post an update form in the Update Thread for a sale, trade, or gift of a Faerett or a Faerett-related item to be recorded in the Bank and/or Archive. If a member neglects to do so, the sale, trade, or gift will not be official in the eyes of the Faeretts staff and may cause issues later. Please make sure to keep the staff informed of all sales, trades, and gifts between members!
➤ Members may choose to hold re-adoption competitions to adopt out any or all of the Faeretts they own, at any time after receiving them. Members must post an update form in the Update Thread after a re-adoption winner is decided so the Archive can be updated. If a member neglects to do so, the re-adoption will not be official in the eyes of the Faeretts staff and may cause issues later. Please make sure to keep the staff informed of all re-adoptions between members!
➤ While members are welcome to sell their Faeretts, DO NOT use the species as a means to make a profit. This means adopting a Faerett (whether free or paid) and then turning around and immediately selling the Faerett for any kind of currency in order to make money (whether real world or online currency). Members caught doing this regularly will be permanently banned from the species. We put a lot of hard work into creating and maintaining this species and do not want other people profiting off of us.

➤ Members are able to give their Faeretts any personalities, gender identity, sexualities, or other characteristics that they want. However, anything that could be classified as NSFW, controversial, offensive, or not child friendly should not be posted. Members will be asked to remove such details on their Faeretts if they are too readily available to the members of Chickensmoothie.
➤ Alternate Universes (AU) are allowed and encouraged. Please respect the AU of others if they choose to go this route.
➤ Owners may roleplay their Faeretts in any manner they please. However, any roleplays that could be classified as NSFW, controversial, offensive, or not child friendly should not be posted at all.
➤ Faeretts cannot be fursonas. Please do not ask to make a Faerett a fursona.

➤ As long as they're not too closely related and have a reference on the adult lines, any Faeretts may breed together. Incest and breeding with kits is not allowed.
➤ Faeretts can have 1 to 4 kits. The number of kits in a litter will be determined by a random number generator. There is an 80% chance of getting 1 or 2 kits and a 20% chance of getting 3 or 4 kits. If the generator chooses a number between 1 and 40, there will be 1 kit. If the generator chooses a number between 41 and 80, there will be 2 kits. If the generator chooses a number between 81 and 90, there will be 3 kits. And if the generator chooses a number between 91 and 100, there will be 4 kits.
➤ All partner breedings guarantee 2 or 4 kits, so both partners can get the same number of kits from their breeding. The number of kits in the litter will be determined by a random number generator. If the generator chooses a number between 1 and 80, there will be 2 kits. If the generator chooses a number between 81 and 100, there will be 4 kits. The partners may split the cost of any breeding items used, if they so desire.
➤ There are no restrictions on how many times Faeretts can breed. They can mate for life or breed with a different Faerett each time they breed. Whether a Faerett mates for life or not is up to the owner.
➤ When requesting a breeding, the Faeretts being bred must be owned by the members requesting the breeding.
➤ Members can only advertise for a breeding partner once per page in the Nursery. Please take all breeding partner discussions to private message or the Discord. Partner discussions in any of the threads will be considered spam.
➤ In partner breedings, a screenshot of the partners agreeing to a breeding must be provided in the breeding request form. The screenshot can be on Chickensmoothie or Discord but the partner NOT posting the form MUST give clear permission in the screenshot for their Faerett to be used in the breeding. If a screenshot looks tampered with, it will not be accepted.
➤ Partners must decide what will happen to all of the kits produced from their breeding. If a fair decision cannot be made between the partners, they may request a Faerett staff member to step in and help make the decision.

➤ To be able to get a custom or Make Your Own (MYO), members will need to obtain a Custom Coin. There are 6 types of Custom Coins - Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple. Each Coin allows for certain rarity traits when creating a custom Faerett. Coins can be won during events, purchased in the Shop to be placed in the Bank for later use, or purchased at the time of a custom request.
➤ The designs of custom and MYO Faeretts cannot be based off any reference images or pre-existing characters. This includes characters from all forms of media (literature, movies, etc.) as well as original characters. Accessories/clothes may show symbols or replicate items from any media (think cosplay clothes/swords/staffs/etc.) but the design of the Faerett itself cannot.
➤ There are no restrictions on how many custom or MYO Faeretts a person can have.

➤ Growths are defined as the transfer of the design of a baby Faerett from the nursery lineart onto the main adult Faerett lineart. Members cannot grow their baby Faeretts until 7 days after the baby has been posted in the nursery.
➤ Members may do the growths for their baby Faeretts themselves or commission another artist to do it for them.
➤ Transfers are defined as the transfer of a Faerett design from a bulk lineart, custom lineart, event lineart, etc. to the main adult Faerett lineart.
➤ Members may do transfers for their Faeretts themselves or commission another artist to do it for them.

➤ Any minor rule breaking will earn members strikes. Each minor offense will earn a member one strike. Strikes remain for 31 days and will be erased once the 31 days are up.
➤ Faeretts will never be forcefully taken from a member, even if they are banned. Once a Faerett is in someone's possession, it stays there until they decide to sell, trade, or gift it away.
➤ If a member receives 3 strikes in a single month, they will be banned for 3 months and will not be able to participate in the species. This means they will not be able to adopt Faeretts, breed their Faeretts, request custom or MYO Faeretts, or participate in Faerett events until 3 months have passed. They will still be able to sell, trade, or gift any Faeretts that were already in their possession before they were banned.
➤ If a member is caught stealing anything related to Faeretts (be it graphics, Faeretts owned by other people, other people's competition entries, etc.) they will be permanently banned from the species. This means they will not be able to adopt new Faeretts, breed their Faeretts, request custom or MYO Faeretts, or participate in Faerett events ever again. They will still be able to sell, trade, or gift any Faeretts that were already in their possession before they were banned.
➤ If a member is caught adopting just to turn around and sell the species to make a profit on a regular basis, they will be permanently banned from the species. This means they will not be able to adopt new Faeretts, breed their Faeretts, request custom or MYO Faeretts, or participate in Faerett events ever again. They will still be able to sell, trade, or gift any Faeretts that were already in their possession before they were banned.

XXXFaeretts can be seen with a wide variety of different traits. Their eyes, ears, tails, and even their wings can be diverse in size and shape. A select few have extra mutations such as antennae on the head, spines on the body, or a scaly belly. Some of the traits are more commonly seen in the species than others. For example, Faeretts with small round eyebrows, small pointed ears like red pandas, and almond-shaped eyes with colored irises and black pupils are seen much more commonly than Faeretts with a back mane, multiple tails, and three eyes.
XXXTheir tails are covered in a glittery substance known as glitz, which is unique to each Faerett. It is unknown why Faeretts produce glitz. For the most part, the glitz is all one color, but multi-colored glitz is common, as well. Glitz is similar in size and shape to man-made glitter. Glitz flashes when light hits it, and it can even refract the light and create sparkles on objects nearby. If one pets a Faerett's tail, their palm will be coated with glitz. Thankfully, unlike glitter, glitz is much easier to clean up and disappears a few hours after it is released from a Faerett's tail.

XXXXX
XX
XXXFaeretts come in a wide range of colors and patterns. Their patterns are often similar to those seen on other animals, such as giraffe or cheetah spots, tabby cat or okapi stripes, or patches of color on a mostly white coat like in cows and horses. Other sorts of patterns are typical in the species, as well. It is quite common to see hearts, stars, crescents, triangles, perfect circles, or other shapes hidden in the pattern of a Faerett. One thing that does set the species apart from other mammals is that their coats show a range of colors from grays, browns, and blacks to all the colors of the rainbow. It isn't unusual to see a green, or even a pink, Faerett flying around!

XXXFaeretts are a type of fairy. They are mischievous goofballs who get into everything. They're extremely curious creatures and absolutely love to check out humans and their creations. Gardens and greenhouses often end up with infestations of Faeretts due to the abundance of food. Suburban neighborhoods are rife with Faeretts getting into trashcans. Rural farms may find that their livestock have been released from their pens or there are tools thrown about. Wherever homo sapiens can be found, Faeretts are somewhere close by!
XXXIf one is able to befriend a Faerett, they can be invited into one's home and become sort of like a pet. These household Faeretts should always be kept well fed to deter tantrums. Occasional new toys are also a good idea, otherwise a Faerett will grow bored and wreak havoc. It is often best to keep them in their own room with a door that locks from the outside. Nobody wants to come home to find a Faerett escapee and a house that looks like a tornado blew through it!
XXXThey say it isn't wise to offend a Faerett, as doing so could lead to strange forms of retaliation by the Faerett. Make a Faerett angry, and you may wake up the next day with a head of bright blue hair or everything in your house floating on the ceiling! All Faeretts have minor forms of "mischief magic" which they use to cause destruction and play their silly games. Rarely, you may find Faeretts who can also control one of the four elements - fire, water, earth, or air.
XXXXXXXX
XXXXX
XXXThere are a few ways to protect yourself and your home from the wily Faeretts. Faeretts despise iron so hanging an iron horseshoe above your front door or wearing an iron medallion or other sorts of iron jewelry are good ways to keep them at bay. Bells and chimes are another deterrent, as long as the sound produced is deep and not of a higher pitch. If you don't own any iron jewelry and need to go out and about where you know there will be Faeretts, you can tuck a four leaf clover in your pocket or wear your clothes inside out to keep the Faeretts away from you. No one is sure why these methods work, but they keep the Faeretts out of your hair, so why question it?
XXXUnlike the ferret species they resemble, Faeretts are opportunistic omnivores. They will scavenge for anything they think is edible - be it meat, plant, or even processed human foods. This is one reason infestations of Faeretts are so common in areas where humans reside. They're not afraid to pop open a trashcan they find outside and go digging for scraps amongst the filth. Faeretts do not let anything go to waste, even going so far as to eat fur, feathers, and bones. Feeding a Faerett in one's home can be quite easy, as they'll eat any left over food you don't want to keep in the fridge.
XXXXX
XX
XXXFaeretts can be found in many different biomes. If there is human civilization in an area, you're guaranteed to find some Faeretts not far off. Typically, they're most often found living in forests or copses of trees in cities and towns. However, they can acclimate to many temperatures, from snowy mountains to dry deserts. Don't be surprised if you're in your snowy vacation cabin ready to go skiing and see some Faeretts digging around in the dumpster! If you're crazy enough to want to attract Faeretts to you, all you have to do is leave some food out where they can easily get to it. Before long, you'll have some fuzzy visitors! Though don't forget there is other wildlife out there, so if you end up attracting a bear instead that's not on us.

XXXSimilar to dogs, Faeretts come in a range of sizes. When born, they're several inches long from snout to tail tip. When full grown, Faeretts can be anywhere from the size of a large rat to the size of smaller dog breeds such as Pugs and Boston Terriers. They have large noses, long noodle bodies similar to ferrets, six legs, and four wings. They are capable of flight and can become mostly transparent, which they use this to their advantage to play tricks on people and other animals. Litter sizes range from 1 to 4 kits, with smaller litters being more common. During a kit's first year of life, their parents will teach them how to find food, water, shelter, and how to be mischievous. Kits are encouraged to prank their siblings as well as their parents.

XXXFaeretts live in groups, known as mobs, that can range in size from a single mated pair up to twenty mated pairs, not including their young. Some mobs are affectionate and will help one another find food and shelter, as well as help raise each other's young. Other mobs may be less devoted and splinter off into smaller mobs if the need arises. When young Faeretts reach a year old, they can stay with the mob they were born into or leave to find a mate and start their own mob. However, some young may be chased out of a mob by the more dominant Faeretts. You'll find some mobs have a hierarchy of sorts while others view all members as equals. No two mobs are quite the same!

XXXWhen a Faerett artist is interested in doing some breeding, they will post in the Nursery thread that they are open for breeding. Artists are allowed to do either first come, first serve slots or choose which breedings they want to do from the ones posted during their opening. When an artist says they are open for breeding, simply fill out and post the correct Breeding Form in the Nursery to be considered for a slot.

XXXThere are a few items that can be used during breeding. In order to use any items during breeding, the items must be specified in the Breeding Form before it is accepted by an artist. Breeding items cannot be added after a Breeding Form is accepted by an artist. This means you cannot edit your Breeding Form after an artist has quoted your form and said that you are accepted. If you need to purchase breeding items at the time of a breeding, you may do so with C$. The payment should be sent to the artist doing the breeding. Only send payment after your request has been accepted by an artist.

XXXFaeretts can have 1 to 4 kits. All partner breedings will ensure 2 or 4 kits so that both partners can get the same number of kits from their breeding.

XXXMost people may want to breed their own Faeretts together, but partner breeding is also allowed. Partners are two different people who are breeding their Faeretts together. In partner breedings, both members must post a filled out form. Once the first partner posts, the second partner has to post their form or the request becomes invalid. The second partner to post must link to the first partner’s form. Partner breedings guarantee 2 or 4 kits, so both partners can get the same number of kits from their breeding. The partners may split the cost of any breeding items used, if they so desire.

XXXIf a breeding is done with only one breeder, all of the kits produced from the breeding automatically go to that breeder. Once the kits are revealed, the breeder may decide to keep, sell, trade, or gift them. Re-adoptions can also be done if a breeder decides to do so.
XXXPartners must decide what will happen to the kits produced from their breeding. Once the kits are revealed, each kits produced will go to one of the partners. From there, they can choose to keep, sell, trade, or gift their kits. If a fair decision cannot be made between the partners, a Faeretts staff member can step in and help make the decision.

XXXWhat is the difference between a custom Faerett and a Make Your Own (MYO) Faerett? They are essentially the same thing, the only difference is who creates the Faerett. Custom Faeretts are made by official Faerett artists OR by an artist that has been commissioned to make a design for someone else. Make Your Own (MYO) Faeretts are made by the owner of the Faerett and were not made by another artist. For example, if someone doesn't feel like their artistic abilities are that great they can commission an artist to create their custom based on their specifications. But if someone doesn't want to go that route, they can simply create their Faerett on their own. Both are essentially the same, we just differentiate the two in order to make sure the correct artist is credited for the work.

XXXBefore a custom or MYO can be made, a Custom Coin is required. Custom Coins can be found in the Shop and range in price depending on which rarity of traits you want. When a Faerett artist is interested in doing customs, they will post in the Customs thread that they are open for customs. Artists may choose to do FCFS slots, raffle slots, or choose which customs they want to do from the ones posted during their opening. When an artist says they are open for customs, simply fill out and post the Custom Form (found in the Customs thread) to be considered for a slot. Members may also commission other artists that are not part of the official Faerett staff to make their customs! Customs are not required to be made by an official Faerett artist.
XXXMembers who would like to get a custom when an artist is open for customs but do not have a Custom Coin at the time of the opening may request to purchase a Custom Coin in their Custom Form. Artists will only accept Chickensmoothie dollars (C$) for Custom Coin purchases in these cases. The C$ for the Custom Coin must be sent to the artist in a ready to accept trade before the artist will begin working on the custom.

XXXCustom Faeretts must abide by the traits list, which can be found HERE. You may choose everything about your custom - from which traits they have to the colors and patterns. However, you may only choose traits based on which Custom Coin you use. For example, a Common Custom Coin only allows for Standard and Common traits, while a Rare Custom Coin allows for Standard, Common, Uncommon, and Rare traits. Also make sure to be as descriptive as possible when requesting a custom so that the artists have an easier time of providing you with what you want. If you have questions at any time, don't be afraid to talk to Faerett staff and request some help!

XXXCustom Faeretts cannot be based on reference photographs or already pre-existing characters, whether commercial or original. If you attempt to provide a pre-existing character to base your custom Faerett on, your request will be denied. If there's a specific sort of color or marking you are wanting, you may provide images only for clarification. Artists will not directly copy any photos that are provided to them. Do not attempt to get around this by having an artist that is not part of the official team make you a custom Faerett based on a reference photo or already pre-existing character. If it is discovered you had a custom Faerett made that was based on any sort of reference photo or a pre-existing character, you may be banned.

Q: Can I be an artist or moderator?
A: Faeretts is going to need artists and moderators. To try out to be an artist, go to the artist search HERE. (URL will be added once an artist search is made.) If you'd like to help out and be a moderator, private message rainbowpanda101.
Q: How much is it to adopt a Faerett?
A: Regularly released Faeretts put up for adoption will be both free to adopt and auctioned. Free to adopt Faeretts will be adopted out via various kinds of competitions, such as first come, first serve or prompt answering. Just follow the directions in the first post of an available Faerett to try out for it. Faeretts that are auctioned will be available for C$ and have a starting bid of 10 C$. The auto-buy purchase of Faeretts will depend on their rarity. Standard auto-buy will be 100 C$/5 USD. Common auto-buy will be 200 C$/10 USD. Uncommon auto-buy will be 300 C$/15 USD. And Rare auto-buy will be 400 C$/20 USD.
Q: How often can I adopt Faeretts?
A: As of right now, there is no limit to how often you can adopt Faeretts. Please allow others a chance to adopt if you have quite a few already. If the Faerett staff notice certain people are adopting too often, a monthly adoption limit will be put into place.
Q: How many Faeretts can I own in total?
A: As of right now, there is no limit to how many Faeretts you can own. Please allow others a chance to adopt if you have quite a few already. If the Faerett staff notice certain people are adopting too many, a monthly adoption limit will be put into place.
Q: What if I'm COPPA and want to adopt a Faerett?
*** PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE COPPA ***
A: COPPA posts do not appear in the Oekaki section of the forums until a moderator checks them. To allow COPPA players a chance at winning Faeretts, all FCFS Faeretts will not be awarded to a winner until at least 48 hours after they are posted. If a COPPA player post ends up being the first post, that player will be awarded the Faerett. If a COPPA post does not appear within that time, the Faerett will be awarded to the player whose post is seen as first. If a COPPA player's post appears after a Faerett has already been awarded to another player, the winning decision will not be reversed.
All other types of competitions for Faeretts should be no problem for COPPA players to join, as their end dates typically give ample time for COPPA posts to appear. However, to be fair to COPPA players who may have posted towards the end of a competition, all competitions will not be judged until at least 48 hours after the artist has closed them. This should be plenty of time for COPPA entries to appear before the artist starts to judge the entries.
IMPORTANT NOTE: COPPA players may bid on Faeretts up for auction with C$ only but should do so at their own discretion. If a Faerett up for auction is awarded to someone else because a COPPA post did not appear in time, the winning decision will not be reversed. Keep this in mind if you are COPPA and want to bid on a Faerett up for auction.
If you are a COPPA player, please keep these notes in mind if you want to try out for Faerett adopts. Do not whine, beg, try to bribe, or otherwise make an artist feel bad for your posts not appearing in time. Any players found doing so will be given strikes and possibly banned from the species.
Q: Can I sell/trade/gift my Faeretts with others?
A: Yes! You can sell, trade, or gift your Faeretts. There are no restrictions on what Faeretts can be traded or sold for. Trade for other Faeretts, for art, other species that allow trading, etc. Sell for C$ or other game currencies, USD or other real world currencies, etc. Members must post in the Update Thread for a sale/trade/gift to be made official and so that the Archive can be updated.
Q: Can I do a re-adopt competition for my Faeretts?
A: Yes! Re-adoption competitions are another way to get rid of any Faeretts you no longer want. Re-adoptions are considered gifts, so use the Gift Form in the Update Thread to post that you've re-adopted your Faerett so it can be made official and the Archive can be updated.
Q: What if I don't want my Faeretts and don't want to sell/trade/gift/re-adopt it?
A: If none of the available options appeal to you, you can private message rainbowpanda101 and request your Faeretts be put back up for adoption without your input.
Q: Can I sell/trade/gift my items with others?
A: Yes! You can sell, trade, or gift any Faerett-related items. There are no restrictions on what Faerett items can be traded or sold for. Trade your items for Faeretts or art. Sell your items for C$ or other game currencies, USD or other real world currencies, etc. Members must post in the Update Thread for an item sale/trade/gift to be made official and so that the Bank can be updated.
Q: What happens if I don't post an update in the Updates Thread?
A: If you do not update the ownership of a Faerett or item after a sale/trade/gift has been completed, the Archive or Bank will state the wrong owner for the Faerett or item. If the new owner attempts to breed the Faerett without the Archive being updated, their breeding request will be denied because the Archive does not list them as the owner. If someone tries to use an item from the Bank and haven't had the item transferred to their bank account yet, they will not be able to use the item. Make sure to always post in the Updates Thread as soon as possible after completing a sale/trade/gift!
Q: What are Widgets and Gadgets?
A: Widgets and Gadgets (also known as WAGs) are Faerett specific currency that can be earned or won during events. They are only good for purchasing items in the Shop. Items purchased with WAGs can be put into the Bank for later use. WAGs amounts will also be kept track of in the Bank.
Q: Can we get custom Faeretts?
A: Yes! However, you will need to obtain a Custom Coin in order to make a custom yourself or request someone else to make you a custom. Custom Coins can be found in the Shop and range in price depending on which rarity of traits you want. Coins can be purchased with C$ or won during events. Please read more about customs in the Custom thread found HERE (URL will be added later), as there is too much information to put here in the FAQ.
Q: Can we breed our Faeretts?
A: Yes! You can breed two of your own Faeretts together or partner up with someone else to breed your Faerett with theirs. There are some breeding items that can affect the outcome of a breeding. All breeding items can be found in the Shop and range in price. Breeding items can be purchased with C$ or won during events. Please read more about breeding in the Nursery thread found HERE (URL will be added later), as there is too much information to put here in the FAQ.
Q: Can only male and female Faeretts breed together?
A: As Faeretts are a fantasy-based species, any Faeretts may breed together and produce offspring as long as they are not closely related. Members may give their Faeretts any personalities, gender identities, sexualities, or other identity characteristics that they want.
Q: I'm looking for a breeding partner! Am I allowed to advertise that I am?
A: Yes! Members can advertise for a breeding partner once per page in the Nursery (URL will be added later). Please take all breeding partner discussions to private message. Partner discussions in any of the threads will be considered spam.
Q: Can I edit my Faeretts?
A: If added to the Oekaki of a Faerett, members may not alter the image in any way without permission. Members are allowed to save transparent or separate images of their Faeretts or save their Faeretts to their own Oekaki galleries if they wish. If a member wants to edit a Faerett, they will need the proper edit items from the Shop first. Edit items can be purchased with C$ or won during events.
Q: Is there a fan club for Faeretts?
A: A Fanclub thread will be posted for Faeretts eventually. Please do not post a Fanclub for us, as we will be posting one at a later date when we're ready for it.
Q: How do I gain access to the Discord?
A: At the moment, we do not have a Discord set up for Faeretts. Once one has been established, all you will need to do to gain access is click the Discord link in the Navigation menu on the top of the main thread. If you join our Discord, you must be 13 years or older (per Discord's rules) and set your username to match your Chickensmoothie username. This is to make it easier for Faerett staff to monitor the Discord.
Q: I have a question that I don't want to ask in public. What should I do?
A: If you have a question related to Faeretts that you would rather not post publicly in the thread, you are welcome to private message rainbowpanda101 on Chickensmoothie at any time. Her PMs are always open, and she checks them quite often so you will probably get a response within 1 to 3 days. However, if you do not get a response within 3 days, send your message again.
