What do they use as an escape?

gazing up at the sky through half-lidded eyes, momentary took a deep breath as they floated further into the cool water of the pool. their hair flowed around them, smooth like silk, bobbing with the gentle waves. the glare of the sun was relentless, dark spots starting to form in their vision. the water was up to their muzzle now, and they let their eyes fall shut. the chlorine smell seemed to clear their head, and more often then not momentary found themself in this position, floating face up in the pool, away from all the stress and worries of their day to day life.
maybe one day they'll find a better coping mechanism, but for now, they float on.
