Shroom
- + He died in a forest but was semi 'resurrected' (his heart doesn't beat and he doesn't breathe but his brain has been fully restored) by sentient magic orbs which he has started to call 'Narks'
+ He can never leave the forest or he will die once again so he has made the forest his home. He lives in the oldest oak tree in the forest.
+ He actually hates the Narks that brought him back but they wont leave him alone - he constantly swats at them but they don't care.
+ His eyes glow in the dark, they have the same bioluminescent properties as the Narks. Night-time looks like day to him, but he is completely blind during the day.
+ He misses seeing the forest at night. Before he died he would watch as the forest glowed with the magic of the Narks - though he didn't know that they were the cause of it at the time.
Narks
- + Their green bioluminescent glow disappears during the day and they take on the colour of their surroundings for camoflage to avoid daytime predators. During the night-time they are constantly moving in murmuration patterns to confuse their predators.
+ Their main predators are birds and insectivorous mammals such as shrews, hedgehogs and bats.
+ They congregate in all kinds of Foxfire Mushrooms (the species Panellus stipticus, pictured here, is their favourite dwelling) during the day and come out at night to light up the forest as they feed on things such as deceased animals and decaying wood bark and leaf litter.
